41  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: October 08, 2014, 06:58:42 PM
So about a week ago we were at 6.6ph and my payouts were great.  Now at 8.1ph and payouts have been cut by almost a 1/4.  i understand new faster miners are coming out every day but a peta hash is alllllot of power added in just over a week.  Did someone hit the Bitcoin lottery or something.

My Hash is (a whopping) 6.63 GH/s however on the my account in Slush it is only: Total average hash rate in last 60 minutes: 4.309 Ghash/s

Is this normal?  It's been like this for weeks, but I just bothered to check.  I have two antminers and a bunch of old Block erupters.  They are connected to a Raspberry pi with three hubs.  Would I need to separate them out as different miners to get them to work? They worked at "full power" until I added a second antminer.

Thanks!

I would have to say probably a lack of power.  What kind of hubs / Power adapter amperage do you have?

and I can ask if he meant $130 when they are selling for under $80 on ebay...
The odd thing is to get all angry cuz someone noted they are much cheaper somewhere else...
When u r buying its ok but when u r selling its OMG no u dint!

Loo EXACTLY.

And if people would read first.... It usually says.    "Mssg me to work something out".  Yet people just complain and complain about ur cost or offer or w.e

This is another reason iblove slush.      Respect.  And care  some of u have.... And lots ofnit

Well I've been buying loads of S1's on ebay for next to nothing.  Fed up waiting for Bitmain to produce batch 10.  Plus 4 S1's for £160 gives me much more hashing compared to S3 cost.  Power is not an issue before anyone mentions it.  The main issue I have I they're VERY noisy compared to S3.

OMG! How dare you mention S1's are next to nothing on ebay... when someone is trying to sell them in this thread, and selling them quite well, and more selling right now as I type!  regardless of your inconsiderate mentions of proper prices.
How uncaring and unprofessional of you! I mean it is ok to bash bitmain for charging too much but if u note someone is seeking 2x todays prices then OMG OMG... red face angry man time
.

Yeah I could load up on tons of S1's in my server room but I would put the circuits at too much of a load... sigh!
that is why I went with upgrade kits. although I probably should have just got s3's and sold the s1's even though I would only get around $75 for them at the time... but it is good to know people here will pay $130+

and BTW, I moved some stuff back here so we are going to have 10 hour blocks again. SIGH...
I was staring at it last night and went to do something else, come back check and block block block... each time oh well

LMAO

I love when people throw down on the interwebs.

On another note, you may be in for longer block times - but, we're also in for a mild or non existent difficulty jump.
So, you might get a free week out of this shit.

Oh well guess no one knows how to have fun anymore.

This is sort is sort if off topic.    (Slush seems to have been doing a bit bad lately since diff rise)

I'm sellingn some of my Antminer s1s to upgrade to s3s.   I'm not 100% on the whole how the shipping works.

Butm willing to sell $130 CAD ea miner.

Or 4 miners for $90 CAD EA 1 PSU for every 2 miners bought.

I'll also throw in a free 2gh/s USB miner for free.

I accept PayPal or payment by bitcoin.

Just send me a mssg if your interested.

I'm not reall dedicated to the s3 but all I need is a miner a bit more powerful than the s1.

Offers???

s1's on ebay are dropping for $50-70 USD. r u saying $130 each?Huh

Well thats good for other people.  Loosing profit Tongue     why would i lower the price when i have tons of buyers?     I dont get it.   IF people dont want it or some shit,  why respond to it.

People can sell em for w.e the hell they want, as long as  ur making money off it.  I've made $20-50 more than what I spent to buy them/

It appears a few changes have been made to web interface such as new block found there is no processing appearing to show that blocks potential reward in statistics?Huh? While the new block has begun
this is a little disconcerting as it doesn't show up  it makes it appear we lost the work for the previous 10 hour block I'm sure it will show up but the 5-20 minutes of processing without it showing will be a visual ugg.....and as this is the first block completed since web changes we wont know what will show until 15 minutes or so have passed I hope they did not make changes to the way the statistics page works Cool
So they just removed the processing part block appears after calculations are made!!...not sure why they did this but once again with no updates as to when things are scheduled to roll out it is a little off putting to see changes aka. passwords no processing etc. when you are used to a certain format. Roll Eyes

Check the Facebook page for updates they do not update the site or forums. There is an update as to what is going on.

^ Q.T.A. = quote tab anonymous Grin The first step is admitting you have a problem Shocked

What's up with the blocks still processing? I don't think I've seen them lag like that before.

Lol I noticed that 2 first 2 are processing still 3rd is fine and 4th is processing. :O. Re-authunticate attack?Huh

Well. Diff's now at 34.   Time for the mining to dramatically slow down now.   Sad

Come on slush.  We can do this.  We can win. Now it'd be nice to get a bugger btc rise.

Upgrading all my s1s to s3s (the proper way, by buying them)this week and next.   Probably get a rockerminer rk-box or 2 as well.

Goodluck all

Gonna lack some hash power for about a week or 2 and than I'll be back to 1.5-2 tg/s .

Slush is reporting the difficulty as 34 but blockchain is reporting 29 still on the ones we are processing.  What gives?

Diff's gone wild... Time to add another S1 to compensate.

JT

The new Bitmain Antminer S4-Batch 1 is available now.

Speed:  2 TH/s

Weight:  16.2 kg

Price:  1450 USD (3.508 BTC)

https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140916100720380cS1tRWd00684

The last price on a Bitmain Antminer S3+ was (.58 BTC) at Bitmaintech.  You had to make a minimum order of two (2) at a total of 1.16 BTC ($450.00 USD APPROX.)  The S4 has BUILT IN POWER SUPPLY (PSU) [Don't know how reliable the PSU is].  The S3's require additional purchase of PSU (APPROX. $129.00 for Corsair RM850 Gold on Amazon - pretty reliable).

So, 6 - S3's at $225.00 USD each [at present rate] = $1,350.00
      3 - Corsair AX860's at $169.00 each from Amazon = $387.00

TOTAL:  $1,737.00 for a combined total of 2.7 TH/s (6 - S3's)  [370 watts x 6 [if you include the watts consumed by power supply] = 2,220 watts total of power consumed.
$1,500.00 approx. for five S3's with three power supplies to get 2.3 TH/s minimum [370 watts x 5 [if you include the watts consumed by power supply] = 1,850 watts total of power consumed.

The new S4 claims * Hash Rate: 2,000GH/s guaranteed * Power Efficiency: 0.69Watt/GH/s at the wall = 1380 watts of power consumed.  THAT IS LESS COST ON POWER CONSUMPTION VERSES the 1,850 watts for five (5) S3's to get 2.3 TH/s.

In comparison, the new S4 ($1450 USD) will save an additional 470 watts for every 5 S3's purchased ($1,500.00).  However, you get 300 GH/s more hashing power with the five (5) S3's.  The 370 watts more power consumed at the wall [with the five S3's] will be offset by the 300 GH/s extra hashing power more than likely.

$1,450.00 USD sounds like a fair price for 2 TH/s

I have a couple S1's in the closet that i don't use since i got S3'S so every time the Diff goes up i add one to the rack and now im gonna upgrade them so i can keep ahead just a hair.
