Question abbout renting a rig
Do i must be online with my computer(that means conected to miningrigrentals.com and pool) that work is done proper with no disconecting?
or can i simply close website(miningrigrentals.com) and mining is going on?

You do not need to have the website open at all.
42  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: August 13, 2016, 12:15:57 AM
I don't understand, Why should I pay 0.5BTC for 5Hours if it says i can make 0.5btc from mining in 5hours
So i just get the same amount back as I paid. Sometimes even less.

And why should someone rent his rig if he makes less BTC from renting then he could mine.

No profit at all.
If you don't feel you will make a profit, then you are by no means obliged to do so.
Many of our renters mine altcoins, and wait till they are worth more. Buy low sell high, in this case buying is done by mining the coins. In other words speculating on the price.
In other instances, some rigs are profitable to rent.

Also keep in mind rig owners are trying to make a profit as well.

Guys at MRR, why are rentals priced the same as mine but with much lower RPI listed before my own rentals!?!?
They used to be below .

We haven't changed anything. So I don't know for sure. I'll look into it.

check to make sure that you have not clicked any of the column headers.  do not forget that the layout is based on you and your behavior on the site.  you may have them listing by another filter than before, such as price or RPI

You might be onto something.
The default way the rigs are shown when selecting the Rigs tab then the algo, is incorrectly sorted.
Even if I click 'Price' it improperly places the lower score rigs higher than higher scored rigs.

We don't sort by RPI in that manner currently.

We're Announcing that we're changing the price on sha256 to display as price per TH. This will allow for better pricing options. We will complete this update Today, at around 10pm EDT.
As we have to update a number of files, please let us know if there is any issue after the update is applied.

46  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] *NEW* Mining Rig Rental Service (Cudaminers will especially like this) on: July 12, 2016, 12:50:38 AM
Rented a rig, as soon as I paid the rig went offline, contacted support, waiting all day on a response. Support ticket is ticket 82. Please get me my refund this is bunk.

This is not a good thing. Maybe he is busy ? But shouldn't be. Rent rigs must be on 24/7 otherwise we go some place else ? Becuae here is no good .

Just pointing out that was on our first day online two years ago. People were new to our service and the rig owner likley misconfigured his rig. The rigs online now generally work well.

Thanks

I would like to announce we've added further support for ethereum /dagger-hashimoto.
We've added support for stratum v2 miners, like ethminer-genoil to setup a rig and connect.
With that addition, we changed the default port for rigs using the dagger-hashomoto stratum section to 3344 to facilitate the ability to detect these new miners.
We've also added additional support for stratum v2 pools. Any miner of both versions in the stratum section, can connect to either version of stratum pool.
This allows our users to get the most out of their mining.

I would also like to add a new note for ethminer-genoil users,
Through MRR, you are able to connect to dwarfpool!
The significance is that connecting genoil directly to dwarfpool does not work, but we have solved the issue if you setup a rig on MRR and connect to MRR when having dwarfpool in your pool list.
There is no fee to setup or run a rig on MRR.

Hi, do you know how to configure a rig running under ethosdistro?

You would connect your miner to MRR like you would any regular pool. I have not personally used that distro, however I have heard reports of issues.
Most of the miners at our website use stand-alone software on the os of their choice.
As far as specifics to configure mining in that distro, I don't have any information for that. If you get any specific error messages when trying to connect to MRR, I can help diagnose those.

Any plans for adding lbry algo?

I have not heard of this algorithm. If you could provide technical details about it, along with coins that are using it, links to miner software. I can begin to see if this algorithm is a candidate for our website.
Thanks

I don't know if any one mentioned this, but usb sticks use flash chips. and those can degrade over time if they are cheap, specifically if they don't get powered on regularly, the electric charge held in the chip (the bits) degrades.
50  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: where to find a guide for writing a mining software on: June 09, 2016, 04:59:47 PM
I would suggest you pick up the source to an existing one and try to increase it's performance by working it's code. I do this with other code in my line of work all the time.
There are plenty of open source mining softwares on the internets.

And again today server problems again with rentals. You guys really need to fix these issues because the renters keep asking for refunds for the downtime and the miner doesn't do anything because it still connected to the MRR servers but not hashing anything.

Hopefully other people have better luck than me.
We don't notice any issues, nor do we have any other reports of issues. Please open a ticket so we can investigate your particular case.

Update:
Assuming your user is the same as your name here, at a glance I don't see any issues besides your rig causing the disconnection some of the time and the pool most of the time. Regardless your history appears stable

Please open a ticket and put at least one rig with an issue online(let us know which) and we'll capture data that can be used to diagnose, I need you to help me help you, I can't fix issues that I don't have detailed information on.

Its a good service but I can't get it to work properly for Stratum Dagger and SHA256 rigs. When a renter pays, the speeds go down for some reason.
Some people use bad pools.
54  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: May 14, 2016, 06:41:21 AM
When somebody rents the stratum ETH rig, I am getting disconnects and a very large ping.

I am in Canada and chose the US West server.

Please open a ticket with support so we can help you.

This miner does not seem to support client.reconnect within the stratum protocol.
I'm disappointed. client.reconnect support is required for users withing to point their rigs to my service MiningRigrentals.com

another scam RENT nearing the end !!! will soon be data about the algorithms with mosheynicheskimi schemes !!!

This renter complains about rentals that are going well, more than 90% completion on hashrate.
You can see for your self here.
Yet this guy keeps acting like a 5 year old.
58  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: March 27, 2016, 11:16:02 PM
I don't understand the previous posters message.
Any how, dagger-hashimoto rentals are not the same as our other algorithms due to fundamental differences in the communication protocol and the overall design of the algorithm it self.
Graphs may appear choppy, or lower due to inefficiencies of the algorithm. Several pools offer stratum interfaces for mining, we suggest you switch to stratum since it will yield overall better performance.
We do our best to service both renters and rig owners fairly.

I was a renter, and how to contact the owner rigs? because according to my calculations, the rental price is too high, and it does not make up for but make me a little loss, if anyone knows how to get profit from mining rigs, let me know by send message with pm or  answer here!

Hi,
You can contact rig owners directly via the Communications tab of your rental.
Ideally you would calculate your profit before renting. If there is some doubt, it's common practice to hold onto your coins until they are worth more. A lot of the people who rent are speculating on prices. As well as there can be deals out there if the rig owner has set it low enough.

The biggest issue that MRR presently has is Nicehash re-sellers.

That's the biggest problem I've been facing lately. I'm avoiding using MRR because of that.
There could be a simple solution for that. Logic doesn't sound hard tbh.

Make them verify that those miners are theirs, and not rented from NH?

That is a bit difficult.

verification would take to long the only way really i see MRR stoping NH resellers would to be find out what NH ip addresses are and ban them

We're working on a solution.

Though I would like to iterate that, a rig that is hashing for the owner when not rented, as in it shows hash on their graph when not during a rental period and for more then a few hours means the rig is highly likely going to work well for you.
Rigs and their owners who have set their pool configs at MRR are going to be better performing, have less issues less refunds, and they aren't likely going to be NH orders, since NH orders hash rate varies wildly to such point it stops for hours. And if their graphs showed this, then well it's not a stable rig.

I would like to also announce a new proxy server location. We have added one in Germany, eu-de01.miningrigrentals.com If your connection/ping to the new server is better, we advise you to switch, this would probably be true for our customers east of Germany.
