41  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning comes before earning on: February 10, 2024, 09:23:19 AM
~snip~
Many newborn traders today do want quick capital and it doesn’t work like that I think one can not just get a land today and complete a building in just a day it is unimaginable you have to start it little by little that is how it has to been done….. I will advise newborns Money should not be what newborns think right now
~snip~

I agree that we should sacrifice our time and our money but we can reduce that when we have someone teach us and when we want to learn in real experience we can use demo trading to reduce our cost. it's true that many people come here to get quick profit that's why we should increase our patience and lower our greed even top traders still lose in trading. Encourage our friends that trading in cryptocurrency is not a quick profit method rather than it's a great place to take the opportunity to change our life.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: February 10, 2024, 08:55:01 AM
I don't agree that only Bitcoin should be bought as an investment; there are many potential altcoins in the market that are even better to invest in and hold so that you can earn a lot of money in reality. Although, when it comes to long-term, proven and tested Bitcoin, even other altcoins like ETH, Bnb, Matic, and others are in the top market listing.

There are many opportunities in cryptocurrency, not only Bitcoin, and most of the community here in the field of the crypto industry knows this, to be honest. For me, Bitcoin is good if you can buy more than one Bitcoin, but if there is not at least 0.5 of it in the coming halving or bull run, I suggest that it is better to shift the investment to altcoins because they are bigger. the chances of us getting a profit.

Well, altcoins are very vulnerable to price movements just like BNB last time when the CZ stepped down we saw BNB drop for more than 10% but after that the FUD slowly faded and BNB regained its strength again. unlike Bitcoin which needs like a big movement to make a FUD so Bitcoin price goes down like a country banning Bitcoin, an exchange getting hacked and shutdown, whales selling their Bitcoin, etc.

The OP said like that maybe because he got scammed with many altcoins so he was frustrated with investing in another altcoin, what we should learn here is that we should be ready for anything that can happen in crypto since no one guarantees our money also not investing in one instrument is one of the way to prevent all our capital lost in one investment.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: "Shrinkflation" is coming back as a narrative on: February 09, 2024, 07:24:15 AM
Because the economic situation in some regions of the world continue to worsen, politicians are using newly invented economic terms like "Shrinkflation" to to blame the companies as being too greedy, and to "rationalize" the effects of printing too much money and having too much debt - that the government may never repay.

I believe as Bitcoin HODLers, we should welcome more money-printing because Bitcoin will absorb some of that excess liquidity, and make the price surge. But it should also make us more distrustful of the policy makers because they know there's no "Shrinkflation", only inflation and the negative effects of money-printing.

Shrinkinflation happened in all countries around the world because as we can see the world population is already more than 8 billion and keeps increasing every year by around 0.8 - 1.0%, to fulfill the world's needs companies are forced to do shrinkflation also not only to fulfill the market but the raw materials prices is also increasing. In my country that affected by Shrinkflation right now is chicken, chicken right now is very small due to the fast harvest, many people put their money into something that gives us fast returns rather than investing in industries or production.

We need to open our eyes to care about this matter because our population does not match to our current production, not many young people want to dive into the production sector.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Struggle now to invest in Bitcoin for a bright future. on: February 09, 2024, 06:24:45 AM
Many of us know about Bitcoin. But due to a lack of funds, we regret about Bitcoin investment. Many people, particularly those from low-income families, regret when we can't invest in Bitcoin. Though we can't solve this problem, we can struggle to achieve our goal. For our daily needs, we must need money to survive. Sometimes we spend money on unnecessary things. So we can avoid spending unnecessary money because we can survive without it. And we can start investing in Bitcoin with that money. We have to find a solid income source, even if it is small. So we can go ahead with our bitcoin investment. If we struggle now, we may build a bright future. Even students could save some money from their daily spending and invest in Bitcoin.

I agree even students can save their daily allowance to invest in assets such as Bitcoin, they only need a will to do that because lots of young people rather than saving their money they choose to spend it for party, phone, dating, etc. with a little investment we are still able to earn decent amount if we hold it for long term and manage it properly. Don't let influencers make our money go to waste due to following their way, it's better to invest for the long term I guess if our capital is not much.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me understand this apparent contradiction between bitcoin and inflation on: February 09, 2024, 06:13:19 AM
You always hear the pundits saying that the rise of inflation suppresses the price of risk assets such as stocks and bitcoin, as interest rates are pushed up in an attempt to control inflation.

But if bitcoin is a hedge against inflation then shouldn't the bitcoin price rise when inflation goes up instead of going down?
I'm guessing the answer would be that inflation causes bitcoin price to go down in the short term, but in the long term causes it to go up? If so then why?

Well, the one that makes stocks and Bitcoin prices go down because The FED raising interest rates will make investors interested in changing their risk asset to traditional currency to enjoy the interest rate. No wonder risk assets and Bitcoin will go down but not for the long term, It's normal because when the price goes down lots of people will buy at the low price from the assets eventually it will make the price go up little by little after the interest rate cut more whales will be entering the market again.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC likely to approve spot Ethereum ETFs on May 23 on: February 08, 2024, 06:24:30 AM

Later or sooner Ethereum ETH will get approved, while we waiting for that to happen we can always DCA to not miss the train just like we DCA in Bitcoin. We can expect Vaneck, Hashdex, ARK or even all of the applications for Ethereum ETF to get approved around that date. Don't use high leverage if you're going to trade because lots of people already got liquidated just like last month when Bitcoin ETF approval is near.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will still be my choice this year. on: February 08, 2024, 06:09:05 AM
~snip~

Do you think I make a good choice this year or I should include BNB so that if one is delaying me in the market, I can try the other one to achieve what I want .

Ethereum ETF is on the waiting list this year cause many people waiting for that to happen, when the Ethereum ETF news comes we can expect Ethereum to move like what Bitcoin did. Compared to BNB I would choose to Invest in Ethereum because last few months Binance got shaken due to CZ stepping down. It's up to you based on what strategy you're using but if I were you I would make my portfolio like 80% Ethereum 20% BNB or I can get other altcoins.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Safe is MetaMask? on: February 08, 2024, 05:20:44 AM
I have become increasingly concerned with security considering all of the attempted hacks, scams etc..

Knowing this I have moved much of my funds out of exchanges, but now if I hold these funds in MetaMask, can someone initiate a payment without my consent?

I received a full-screen warning from MetaMask with a warning for Ethereum Phishing.
~snip~

It's Metamask phishing, you should be careful and avoid when you find a website like that because your funds or your information could be stolen from you without any notice. We can encounter lots of websites like that when we looking for free Airdrop because not every Airdrop is trusted. I once got this phishing on my Metamask wallet in the end all my funds were transferred to an unknown wallet. As long we're not making mistakes I guess it's fine.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX to refund customers at Bitcoin's prices below $18,000 on: February 06, 2024, 03:24:34 AM
~snip~

What are your thoughts about this one? For sure those who lost money in the FTX collapse will have to find console in getting some from FTX itself. But I don't think this is fair to their customers if they will be calculated on Value of Bitcoin in November 2022, just saying.

It should be in full and should be based on the numbers of Bitcoin they have in this exchange, in my opinion.

I guess we should be grateful that they still want to refund customer funds although it's not fair enough, I saw some platforms collapse and none of their customers got a refund. Make it as our experience to store our cryptocurrency not in a third party but in our own wallet to avoid something like this happening again. Don't ever trust something that is related to the government again.
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: February 06, 2024, 03:13:26 AM
Several discussions about Trading and Newbie's advice, yet many newcomers fail to follow, many still fail.
The is why?  it varies on several factors
 - it was not just because we read, we can perfectly understand it
 - it is not just we know the tips/ideas, we can make them right as it matters in the decision-making and application

Honestly, it was too easy for us to say do this and this but feel it hard in an actual scenario. Most of us just noticed it was wrong when it was done already.

Yeah since we never know where the market movement then the near possibility that we can predict where the market moves is only from analysis, but in the end just like you said still many people fail at making decisions. Not because their decision is wrong but because the market is hard to predict and when we get wrong we can use that as our experience and keep growing, lots of things influence our decision making like our greed, lack of experience, panic, lack of patience, etc.

53  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable? on: February 05, 2024, 04:32:23 AM
Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable in the future
Though have been in the crypto space for quite some time now, I knew little about crypto. A friend of mine just introduced me to real estate investment.
Which one should I go for with a capital less than $2500?

less than $2500 should better for Bitcoin and other crypto, you should know that the halving is near and after halving commonly Bitcoin will set a new ATH. Buying Bitcoin or other top altcoins right now is not too late because the Bitcoin price has still not set new ATH yet. You can change to real estate after you sell your Bitcoin for more capital, Don't miss the train and choose what suits you better don't just invest in something because someone told you.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: February 05, 2024, 04:00:27 AM
Look, you can be old and rich or young an poor, but being old and poor is bad shit.

A surefire way of doing the wrong kind of things is to spend your money early or try to live a good life quickly without thinking about the future. Or if you have an ok job or income to think that is enough, even if you cannot save.

All young people, understand that time an money are linked. It is not the same to invest early than late, it is not the same  to invest more early that try to invest more later. 100 is worth 100 today, but 800 in 20 years if you play it safe but well. Make no mistake, you will need to start creating your wealth.

Yeah I'm starting to save and invest in something like real estate, cryptocurrency, gold, etc. Most of my money I put to investment and only have a few in savings for an emergency fund so my investment won't get disturbed it's sad a lot of young people waste their money on party, lifestyle, car, etc. although it's their parent's money not theirs. If we have kids in the future we should encourage our kids to learn how to save and invest because it will someday change their life.
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: February 04, 2024, 04:12:45 AM
Trading is not a course to be honest. Yes you can learn the basics of trading or how to read the market etc. But if you ask how to trade? Then it can be learnt by experience only. I will suggest you a basic roadmap. Learn the initial pre requisite for trading. Learn about analysing charts and patterns of coins. When you are done with this, then go for demo trading with dummy money. Once you are confident with this, then switch for real money and trade with minimising the risk.
Even when we become old in trading, we are still learning and learning does not stop. I do learn everyday since the market is not my friend. It will always move in any direction whether such direction is going to benefit me or not. Once we understand what we are meant to do, we don't have to be looking for cheap ways to get things done. I am a trader and I understand the market in some ways but not always. The market can decide to move against anyone anytime.

I agree that the market is hard to predict because the last cycle pattern won't be the same as the current cycle although there are still few common in market movement. Like last cycle we had Covid-19 attack that caused a big down wick to the market but right now lots of people anticipating about recession although it's not going 100% happen but still many people hoping that a recession happen to buy Bitcoin at a discount.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Believe, "Passive Investors Make More Than Active Investors?" on: February 04, 2024, 04:01:59 AM
~snip~

However, I've read what Warren Buffet (an American businessman and philanthropist, widely considered the most successful investor of the 20th century) thinks about short-term investing, which is quite negative.
By the way, he also thinks BTC has no intrinsic value and cryptocurrency is just gambling.

~snip~

Day trading can give you more profits compared to only holding your investment for the long term but there are always more risks for you to face on day trading. More profit will always be tempting but if you don't have good analysis you will make your hard work money become lost in vain. Warren Buffet already missed the train so no wonder he will be against to Bitcoin,  those who can't accept the development of the world will only complain that new technology is a scam, gambling, useless invention, etc.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Bitcoin in a Cashless Society on: February 04, 2024, 03:52:51 AM
Hey, fellow Bitcointalkers! 🚀 Let's hop on the crypto rollercoaster and talk about the future of Bitcoin in a cashless society. 💸 Will our favorite digital gold shine even brighter, or will it face some turbulence? Strap in, no financial advice here – just enthusiasts sharing thoughts. Imagine a world where your grandma pays for cookies with BTC - wild, right? 🍪 Are we heading there or hitching a ride to a different destination? Dive into your crypto crystal ball and let's speculate on the fate of Bitcoin in this cashless adventure. What's your take on its survival skills in a world where cash is as ancient as floppy disks? Share your wild, unfiltered ideas! 🌐✨

A lot of countries want to develop their own digital currency because currency from paper is already outdated, I think Bitcoin will be most known as digital gold rather than payment because Bitcoin is very volatile. I saw lots of cases where many people complained about the huge fees when sending Bitcoin to other wallet, Bitcoin should have low fees to make it become handy as a payment. I hope everyone can have some Bitcoin/satoshi to keep as their future investment, we just going to see the fourth halving and now the Bitcoin price is around $40k, I can' imagine what price Bitcoin when we touch the tenth halving thought.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling the old professional bounty managers? on: February 03, 2024, 01:18:58 AM
Personally they are here but they don't bring bounty now. What do you think could be the main reason for this? There were many higher rank managers who gifted us bounties for good projects in the past but now they are retired. What have they removed from the bounty due to the bad situation in the crypto market?

There are not so many good projects lately and when there is a scam project, bounty manager are always being accused that they're part of that project. It will make bounty manager's reputation become bad and I heard that a lot of bounty managers didn't get paid after they posted bounty threads in this forum. Right now not many altcoins are interested in giving campaigns anymore since it will dump their price when they enter the market.

In conclusion why many bounty managers retired
1. Didn't get paid
2. Bots
3. low project interest in giving campaign
4. Already rich  Wink Tongue
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: February 03, 2024, 01:10:07 AM
YES, but to become a professional trader doesn't just come with words but more on actions.
 - focus
 - dedication
 - patience

Trading is a risky job but never thought that was too difficult to learn because things can be learned if we have to. But of course, don't assume that once we have knowledge, we become confident enough instead, keep on learning new things and ideas because the market trend is changing and we need to upgrade as well. Stay on the limits and keep mind healthy.

I agree that we need more experience on real trading because when we have lots of experience in trading we will have more intuition and a lot of strategy to choose where the next movement is. We can utilize demo trading to sharpen our experience if we lack capital, our experience will gradually increase along with how to manage our emotions such as patience, dedication, greed, etc. Don't easily get affected by influencers out there cause it's only will benefit them.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid getting rugpulled on: February 03, 2024, 12:27:05 AM
~snip~

I know there are other ways we do fall victim which I think is ok if we share our experience as well but then, how can we bypass this?

1. Check their community: check if their community is active with real humans, not bots

2. How many followers they got

3. How often do they post on social media

4. How many exchanges got them listed? The two qualified exchanges I check, which I have mentioned frequently are Binance and Bitget. These two Cex usually list quality tokens which from my experience I have benefited from
~snip~

Well, it's the risk when we choose to invest in this cryptocurrency space because cryptocurrency will outperform stock in the most gains performance and we should be ready because that more high profit comes with more high risk too so there's no guarantee that our investment in cryptocurrency always increase. Getting listed to the best exchanges out there only increase their reputation and gives a more safe feeling to their investor, it's not a bad idea to invest only to coins that are listed in top exchanges but we should always be ready to expect something that could happen.
