41  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert! Betcoinrakeback.com stole players money on: June 02, 2017, 08:54:11 AM
Despite telling the players that they will have the stolen money paid back by last Friday, today Betcoin posted the following message buried deep in a month old thread:

Why does it take two days to process the payments if all of the calculations are completed?  You just have to press a button!  The process is already "formalized" and "organized".  Why the extensive delay?

Seems like more stalling to me.  I wonder why they would be stalling for so long...

It's now been 48 hours since they posted this.  Has anyone gotten paid yet?

According to the official thread, some players are reporting not being paid and others are reporting being paid less than they are owed.

Players are reported not being paid... Is this true?

Yes! I was just talking to support about this. If rake back is up to date as support indicated then my payout is way low.

It wouldn't surprise me if they cut a deal with Xiao that if he pays back what he stole, he can keep his account/affiliates (even if he's no longer giving them RB). They might be stalling because Xiao hasn't been able to come up with the coin yet. I did notice that they changed their story from "people will be paid out as Xiao's account accrues affiliate money" to "we're going to deposit the funds into your accounts." I can't imagine they would have changed it to the latter unless the money wasn't coming out of their own pockets.

Still no idea what your agenda is, but I do not post my referal links here!

You punched "is bit-exo a scam" into google and not Game Protect or Bit-Exo as you claimed!

If google mention this thread, then this is a great result though... Smiley

And every time you follow up with disingenuous off-topic comments accusing other people of "blatant lies" when a quick fact check shows otherwise, you are making both your site and their site look like even bigger scams. I sure as hell would never play anywhere advertised by your so-called "Online Gaming Consumer Protection Service" given that you have an obvious financial interest in the sites you shill, and I hope no one else would fall for that bullshit either.

My agenda is to call out scams when I see them.

Your trust rating is well deserved.

Do you really want to be hawking your referral links in a Scam Accusations thread? Because Scam Accusations is what's going to pop up when you Google Bit-Exo or game-protect. If you don't have anything to add to the topic at hand, find a different conversation.
No idea what the intent of your blatant lies is, but neither did I post a referal link nor do any scam accusation pop up when I put Bit-Exo or Game Protect into google Huh

Bit-Exo very well fits the topic, as it is an alternative for the victims. Wink

So, if I click through the link you're providing in your posts, what is this?

Is that not your referral link?

Regarding Google:

So, if you want Scam alert! to pop up every time someone punches your affiliate site into Google by shilling it in threads like this one, keep it up. Better yet, GTFO.

Edited to break the referral links.

Whoever Xiao maxed out his credit line with probably needs a new pair of underwear right about now. Maybe Betcoin can hook him up with some merch.
46  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert! Betcoinrakeback.com stole players money on: May 28, 2017, 04:42:54 AM
For those who care about rake:

Bit-Exo take only 5% tournamenmt fee! This is 50% rakeback compared to betcoin + normal rakeback, leaderboard and promotions.

They have also the amazing Spin & Go tournaments. Traffic is low atm, but this could change in the foreseeable future.

Do you really want to be hawking your referral links in a Scam Accusations thread? Because Scam Accusations is what's going to pop up when you Google Bit-Exo or game-protect. If you don't have anything to add to the topic at hand, find a different conversation. [/rant]

Back on topic, I went through and read Betcoin's reasoning for not paying players directly and requiring them to generate rake equivalent to the amount that was stolen to get it back. It's basically "We have a long and distinguished history of screwing our customers (c.f. Gambit), so it's only fair that we screw you all equally." Does that mean the next time one of their slot providers decides they don't want to pay out a jackpot, it's only fair to screw that guy over, too?

Also, this is twice as bad because when Xiao degenned off everyone's rakeback, it just went straight into Betcoin's coffers as rake and gambling losses. So, they are the direct beneficiaries of all the stolen money. It's not so much that Xiao didn't intend to scam (he did that repeatedly by his own admission), he just didn't intend to lose. No wonder they're treating him with kid gloves and saying they're not sure if they're going to perma-ban him because he's done so much good for the site in the past, etc.

When art was repatriated after WWII after being stolen by the Nazis, nobody gave the current owners or museums a dime or asked the original owners to buy back the art at market value. Why? Because it would have been wildly unethical to demand payment to return stolen goods. I don't see how this is any different. The stolen money is in Betcoin's wallet. It's obscene to have a playthrough requirement to get your stolen money back, and unethical for them to keep it in the meantime.
47  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert! Betcoinrakeback.com stole players money on: May 28, 2017, 01:33:26 AM
So, how much did Betcoin rake Xiao while he was dicing it all away? Or does being a prop player mean that you get 100% RB on dice as well? If they were raking a non-zero amount, they certainly had incentive to let him keep degenning away other players' RB.

I think that given Betcoin's history of telling people that Xiao was a trusted affiliate, they need to pay the missing RB out of their own pockets and then it's their problem to get it back from Xiao. That's what anyone would do if they wanted people to keep taking them at their word on future matters.

Do you have an ETA on when players will be reimbursed? It's been 6 weeks since your bugfix. If you had paid everyone out 6 weeks ago, it would have cost you ~40% less.

only in terms of USD, which SWC doesn't deal with... right?

You can't deposit or withdraw in USD, but as of yesterday it was the reason they decreased the rake:

In recognition that Bitcoin has increased in value once again, we have lowered the rake.

Also, every time the krillrolls/freerolls/guarantees decrease in value or disappear altogether, the rising value of BTC is the explanation I hear.
49  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: May 14, 2017, 06:35:13 AM
Do you have an ETA for fixing the bug that's causing cash games to be overraked? If a player leaves the table before a hand is complete, that player's contribution to the pot disappears and goes to the house instead of to the winner, which is effectively overraking all cash tables (and depending on the stakes, sometimes by quite a lot) and giving players a disincentive to play ring games.

I appreciate that resources are being deployed to making the website multilingual, but I would like to see some of the more serious issues solved before new, superficial features are added. In the era of Google Translate, I doubt that the lack of a multilingual website is preventing non-English speaking players from using SWC.

Is there any plan in place to compensate players that lost money as a result of being in overraked hands or an estimate of how many bitcoins have been diverted to the house as a result of this bug?

Thank you for the well written post.
We are deploying a fix to this bug with our next restart.
We had thought to have fixed this, but after a subsequent patch was applied it seems to have come back.
We will preform a full audit and deposit chips automatically to player accounts that were affected.
Note that this is a rare issue, as most players finish the hand while still active.

Looks like they cut back the freerolls again. BTC is at a 2-year high and they're cutting promotions? Fire the marketing department, imo.

Hi, Do you ineteresuet way to bet on betcoin.ag so that the rate of return on the balance sheet, but at the same time-invoiced betback bonus?
Income from 1000 chips to bet on the freshly registered account ~ 60 chips per hour. It turns out to do 10-15 minute rates.
Bronze3 level - 1000 * 0.01% * 10 * 60 = 60 chips per hour
Bronze2 level - 1000 * 0.02% * 10 * 60 = 120 chips per hour
Bronze1 level - 1000 * 0.03% * 10 * 60 = 180 chips per hour
Silver level - 1000 * 0.04% * 10 * 60 = 240 chips per hour
and so on.

Sale php script that automatically puts the rate will only need to enter the account and transfer the balance to betback principal balance. Well and output chips. For execution of the script is needed or vps hosting with php.
Before the sale can demonstrate this the script, this can register an account on betcoin.ag and little to replenish the balance and I run skipt, or can demonstrate to your account.
Price - 1,5 BTC.

Phishers using CloudFlare for SSL
Some Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) enable fraudsters to deploy phishing attacks with valid SSL certificates. Not only does this make the fraudulent sites appear more credible, but they also benefit from the fast response times provided by the CDN.

CloudFlare's half-baked SSL: suspicious sockets layer
We were inspired to collect the data on this page after reading this report: Phishers using CloudFlare for SSL. Also see this technical analysis (PDF, 545 KB) on the use of SSL by CloudFlare and similar services. The CloudFlare certificates we found all had the common name in the same style as the "ssl2796.cloudflare.com"
-snip-
We compiled this list by attempting a handshake with the CloudFlare domains in our database. With an older version of OpenSSL on port 443, our handshake fails if the certificate uses SNI. CloudFlare's use of SNI is for "universal" SSL, and is available on free accounts. The "standard" certificates we want mean that the domain has a paid account at CloudFlare. These make up about five percent of the domains that use CloudFlare, according to news reports. It's all a marketing effort anyway, whether paid or free. There is no such thing as "secure" SSL when you have potential Men-In-The-Middle at scores of data centers around the world. Local authorities could be sniffing the plaintext available at these data centers, and CloudFlare wouldn't have a clue.
From http://crimeflare.net:82/cfssl.html

Code:
betcoin.ag 367617
betcoin.pk 279207
betcoin.tm 370128
betcoincasino.com 279207
betcoinpoker.com 279207
betcoinsports.com 279207

I couldn't find any other bitcoin casinos that I've heard of on the list.

as a layman, what are you saying? LOL

I only skimmed the page, but I think the basic issue is that because Betcoin uses CloudFlare and CloudFlare doesn't use SSL correctly, you will see a little SSL padlock next to the URL when you connect to Betcoin, implying that the connection is secure when in fact it is not. This can be exploited by people phishing for information who might trick you into, say, entering your Betcoin password on a site that looks like Betcoin but isn't.

There's also a problem that unless Betcoin's security team has taken specific steps to remedy the issue, they are probably not encrypting your information between Betcoin and CloudFlare. So, when you type in your password, it is encrypted from your computer to CloudFlare, and then sent as plaintext from CloudFlare to Betcoin, even though it shows a little SSL padlock that most users take to mean that the entire connection is secure end-to-end. Likewise, the data sent from Betcoin to CloudFlare probably isn't encrypted, either.

I've noticed that they've deleted quite a few posts in the last 24 hours or so according to my instant e-mail notifications of new posts. Is it possible to have a thread that mirrors the content of the moderated Betcoin thread that includes all posts, maybe with the posts that they delete highlighted in red? I think it's interesting to see the posts they delete in the context of the original thread.
I agree as well - it would be a very interesting read. I don't think there is a way to do it directly on bitcointalk.org, but if someone is interested and is a developer, they can write a script that scrapes the betcoin thread every x minutes, and if it sees a post, posts it on here (or another thread) with the context as a quote. Does the email notification tell you the post contents?

It does tell you the post contents but doesn't use the same formatting markup as in the original post, which makes it a little confusing to read. Here is an example of an e-mail notification for a post they deleted where StanDMX114 was replying to royalpalm saying that when TwitchySeal had brought up the same status point issue earlier, they deleted his post without addressing the issue.

Betcoin deleted my post from their thread, so I'm reposting it here. Looks like all it takes to "spam" their thread now is a single post.

===========================

I know I could open a ticket, but my last two were never responded to so not confident in the process.

I have opened a ticket, but thought the community should be made aware of the situation (as I have NEVER encountered this in many years of online poker)...

it's called transparency, and shows integrity.

We absolutely love that you enjoy playing at Betcoin so much and spending so much time at Betcoin.  We however are not a big fan of the spam but understand that it comes with creating something that people enjoy spending time at.

We immediately are always suspect when someone states that a ticket was not responded to and we ask the players login name and they don't give it.  You had one previous ticket that was answered in fact very quickly.

Once we saw this statement "two tickets were never responded to" and confirmed you only had one ticket which was responded to quickly, we knew we had someone who wasn't telling the truth and when that person then says "transparency and integrity" we know exactly who that player is.  We confirmed it using other factors as well.  You should play with your main account as you have gained some valuable status points and we now have better ways to filter spam.  Clearly you enjoy playing at Betcoin and we really don't want to take that away from you ever.

We appreciate all the time you spend at Betcoin, but we kindly ask that you please stop spamming our thread.  Thank you and good luck at Betcoin.ag!

I'm rather confused about what constitutes "spamming" the thread. It looks like you quoted two posts made 5 days apart about issues that are pertinent to playing on your site as proof of spamming, and then immediately accuse the OP of dishonesty/lying over what could have been a legitimate misunderstanding?

Could you please explain what you consider "spamming our thread" in more detail? I have always seen "spamming" used in the context of creating a massive amount of irrelevant posts/e-mails in quick succession with the intent of drowning out legitimate conversation, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

If you are concerned about spam in your thread, you may want to consider resizing or eliminating the gigantic images (e.g., the magnifying glass with the bug) that don't add any information to your posts and dilute the content of the thread, because by the time you have scrolled down past the image, you can't see any of the text or posts above the image.

The graphs look pretty damning to me. So you're suggesting that after February 13, all the players of this particular game simultaneously switched their playing style to one where they couldn't possibly hit the jackpot? Seems a little far fetched.

If you can't make a cogent point without resorting to ad hominem attacks, you should just stop, because you have already lost the argument.

No, that's what YOU'RE saying.  Maybe read it a couple more times or something....I don't know...Maybe the words I used were too big?....I don't know why you're confused....I wrote it in English so I don't know how you can interpret me saying anything such as what you asserted, but I guess that's your style....if you guys can't figure it out, then just make something up, right?

You know, lying and being deceptive isn't going to help you increase your player field at SwC because it's only proving what type of people you have playing there....But, maybe all eight of you can get together and teach each other how to palm cards, or something when action's slow; I don't know.  I heard that another collusion crew was discovered playing there a few weeks back....Maybe if you spent more time trying to stop the collusion on your own site instead of making false stuff up on other sites, then maybe you could increase registration honestly....you guys are something else!

Perhaps your points would be clearer if you could dial it back for a minute and drop the sarcasm, conspiracy theories, and personal attacks. You have only succeeded in derailing your own half-baked argument.
60  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetSoft Non-Payment of Jackpot on: August 13, 2016, 11:54:46 PM
Dude...STFU!  Anybody with half a mutant brain cell would choose the mode that had the highest jackpot....Especially those who are spending thousands of dollars in max bets to hit the jackpot.  If you had a choice to spend 5 to win 10, or 5 to win 5000.....would you still choose to spend 5 to win 10? (<--nevermind, don't answer that---I'm assuming you have at least half a mutant brain cell which I'm seriously reconsidering)  And, if you had the intelligence to understand the data, then you you'll notice that is exactly what happened....people were playing in "Bad Girl" mode because the jackpots were higher.  There was no "unlocking" and "locking" like you guys suggest....LOL....Players had the choice to play in the mode which they thought would be most profitable to them and when they did that it excluded the possibility that the other event could occur because it is not only a mutually exhaustive event, but it's also a collectively exhaustive event.  It is a design specific to that game which you guys insist is faulty among all the other Betsoft games that were being tracked because it displays "odd" behavior compared to the other games!  The data only demonstrates that the behavior is not, in fact, "odd" but that the game is working exactly how it was designed to work!  LOL  You guys are just stooopid, that's all!

And....pages and pages of spewed bullshit doesn't make the bullshit any more valid!  It's still just a bunch of spewed bullshit used to dilute the truth.

The graphs look pretty damning to me. So you're suggesting that after February 13, all the players of this particular game simultaneously switched their playing style to one where they couldn't possibly hit the jackpot? Seems a little far fetched.
