Good to see development still going for SwCpoker I used to play there a long time ago. Maybe when the android app or HTML5 client are up I could enjoy some games again.

lowering/eliminating guarantees for tourneys that were already in the lobby doesn't seem like a great sign for development

In recognition that Bitcoin has increased in value once again, we have lowered the rake. The new rake table can be found here: https://swcpoker.eu/swcpoker-faq/#rakeAfter paying out this week's leaderboard in about 24 hours, the long-running weekly Krill Leaderboard promotion will come to an end, for now. We expect to restart this promotion after we release our long awaited clients.

SWC, it really doesn't make sense to end the leaderboard. Are you seriously losing money? Big mistake

This poker platform seems to go downhill as of lately. First the tournament guarentees being reformed, now the Skrill rakeback being paused...
I'll check back in a few months, hope things have changed by then. Hope the Android client is up by then.

We paid out >95 Bitcoins during the life of this promotion. It was not profitable for us, but the history of SwC Poker is based on the poker site paying out big to the players, unless it really gets out of hand. We hope to bring it back in the future after we have deployed our clients and restored player confidence in our platform. This poker platform seems to go downhill as of lately. We hope you will check back in a few months. We dream of having a large team of coders who never sleep but the reality is we are a small but dedicated team who often need to rest. We are not happy with the current state of SwC and are working hard to improve it.

How can you quantify that? It would only be not profitable if the players wouldn't have played more volume had the lb not been running.

I love SWC and I will continue to play there. I just think action will suffer without the leaderboard. For example, I don't like Big PLO or Big PLO 8 but I have started games to move up the leaderboard, and the next thing I know- it's a full table. I'm not saying the leaderboard was profitable, I'm saying SWC has been profitable even with the leaderboard. It's like a casino give a steak and lobster dinner for 14.99. That's not profitable for the casino but it helps get people to the casino and helps the casino in general become profitable.

Do you have an ETA for fixing the bug that's causing cash games to be overraked? If a player leaves the table before a hand is complete, that player's contribution to the pot disappears and goes to the house instead of to the winner, which is effectively overraking all cash tables (and depending on the stakes, sometimes by quite a lot) and giving players a disincentive to play ring games.
I appreciate that resources are being deployed to making the website multilingual, but I would like to see some of the more serious issues solved before new, superficial features are added. In the era of Google Translate, I doubt that the lack of a multilingual website is preventing non-English speaking players from using SWC.
Is there any plan in place to compensate players that lost money as a result of being in overraked hands or an estimate of how many bitcoins have been diverted to the house as a result of this bug?
Thank you for the well written post. We are deploying a fix to this bug with our next restart. We had thought to have fixed this, but after a subsequent patch was applied it seems to have come back. We will preform a full audit and deposit chips automatically to player accounts that were affected. Note that this is a rare issue, as most players finish the hand while still active. Do you have an ETA on when players will be reimbursed? It's been 6 weeks since your bugfix. If you had paid everyone out 6 weeks ago, it would have cost you ~40% less.

only in terms of USD, which SWC doesn't deal with... right? You can't deposit or withdraw in USD, but as of yesterday it was the reason they decreased the rake: In recognition that Bitcoin has increased in value once again, we have lowered the rake.
Also, every time the krillrolls/freerolls/guarantees decrease in value or disappear altogether, the rising value of BTC is the explanation I hear.

The leaderboard and prizes are still listed for this week. If it really is ended, you guys should remove that page or remove the prizes listed. I'm sure not everyone that plays on SWC reads this thread.

Thinking about giving SWC a shot. Any PLO games running ? BTW I would not have considered this is Betcoin would just admit that their casino games were capped for the win amounts and players were fixed to lose at over 75%. Not that I ever expect to win at a casino game nor did I lose a bunch. However, seeing thaT makes the poker RNG questionable at best.

Any update on Android? I'm a pc guy and I love playing SWC on my huge monitor.......but we need more players on here. The leadreboard ending has really hurt. I'm hoping an Android release will provide a spark to this site.
