41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My take on DeFi bounties on: October 01, 2020, 01:06:10 PM
Almost 99 percent of DeFi projects in bounty section are scam, you can say I have no prove but this is just my normal thought.

1. Why are almost all bounties released today DeFi projects?
2. Most of these projects have no information about team
( They are complete anonymous)
3. Majority of them are rushed, you can judge merely looking at website domain and designs
4. There are some that based on Uniswap wannabes

You can't compare these projects with real DeFi projects like introduced bounties like Oikos, Lattice, DIA, and few others, my advice is to be extremely picky after doing research

These scammers wanted to ride on the DeFi hype considering most investors now are looking forward to DeFi. Most of these guys just changed from some coin to DeFi, and that definitely is a red flag, their intent is obvious.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: October 01, 2020, 08:38:22 AM
A lot of people have been burned by founders running away with with ICO money. It tarnishes the reputation of cryptocurrencies and I believe we should help educate new investors as soon as possible.

Can anyone share a checklist of the things they look for to determine if a coin is worth investing in?

And what are the red flags that you often see people fall for?

The first thing i look for is the background of the team working on it. Second is if the project is sustainable and could hold up to the future. Potential is everything, as long as i believe on the project enough, investing is worth a try.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in your ability to earn more. on: October 01, 2020, 12:52:07 AM
A lot of seminars on trading popping up right now specially during the quarantine, not much you can do with your time indoors and learning new ways and tips to trade is highly beneficial. I say never stop learning.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: September 30, 2020, 11:11:00 AM
The news of kucoin being hacked really gave me a scare. I was lucky enough to grab a hold of these coins that are really promising at such a good price and the thought that they might get lost was just really disappointing. Good thing Kucoin's going to return the token lost and not in dollars.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest to this project ? on: September 26, 2020, 01:51:39 PM
Looks like youve been successful 12 out of 15 times, you should know better by now in investing in a large sum at something youre not personally familiar with. Ive also never heard of this team before but if youre really dead set on this project, invest but not in a huge amount.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: September 26, 2020, 12:38:41 PM
Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin today underwent a hot wallet hack, hacker managed to bring in about 157 million dollars, but luckily kucoin cold wallet is safe and all hacked funds will be completely replaced by kucoin.

Once again, cybersecurity is MANDATORY in the current crypto environment

Luckily i can still see my coin in kucoin. But if ever i did lose my coins i want them to be replaced by the same coin and not by bitcoin. This Kucoin hacking scare really got me.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any suggestion in investment in Defi coins/tokens on: September 26, 2020, 06:14:03 AM
Nowadays the Defi project is growing very fastly and many of the coins/tokens are successfully trading and many big investors are getting into it. So, I want some suggestions in investment in Defi coins/tokens and which Defi project should I can invest in, as a short time to get a good gain.

Maybe you should consider going after DeFi if youre just in it because you got swept with the hype. Theres a lot of projects out there who switched to DeFi and then just ran with the money when they got investors in.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF FAKE GIVEAWAYS IN DISGUISE AS UNISWAP on: September 26, 2020, 05:24:16 AM
This is actually relevant and more often than not people might fall for scams like these. Following the recent give aways of uniswap people would think its not too far of if theyd give again. Just be careful of what youre clicking, if it asks you to send money first, obviously a scam.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of bounty scam, you can help to stop it too. on: September 26, 2020, 12:24:08 AM
I prefer to post this here on this section because this is where it actually originates from. This is where the bounty scammers come to catch their "prey"- hunters.

Therefore, I have observed that since 2018, after the 2017 crypto bull , almost all bounty have been failing. After months of running bounty, some that manage to get to the exchange are dead on arrival with less than a dollar worth of 20,000 unit (or more unit) of shit distribution to hunters.

Consequently , with my little time here and as far as I have noticed, their are certain signs that seem like a no go area if we really want to participate in a fairly good bounty that we can also benefit from our labour, time and data.

These signs for me are :
1. When the thread is filled with grammatical and typographical errors.

2. When the task in the different or any of the allocated bounties are not defined. For example, how many facebook shares / posts are not defined and then you are left with asking from the shit BM. This is definitely and certainly a red light.

3. When the task is limitless. For example, no limit to shares/post.

4. When the task is too much. For example, 10 shares  Grin

5. When the requirements to get your reward is complicated. For example, you can be asked to sign up and provide referral number or code  Grin

6. When the process for reward isn't proper. For example, you notice you will be asked to watch a video to know how to provide wallet address or downlines  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

7. When spreadsheet isn't updated weekly.... Just run  Grin

8. When weekly dates are not seen either on the thread or spreadsheet.

9. When you see only week 1 , week 2, week 3 etc just on spreadsheet without date.

10. When complaints on telegram isn't responded to promptly and you are not satisfied when you get response.

11. You don't need to continue if you notice you have been deleted from telegram and you know you have been asking legitimate questions to understand things not clear to you about the bounty.... Run run fast  Grin

12. When it is not handled by a reputable account as BM.

13. When there is no ANN at the beginning or it is provided later in the bounty maybe because someone is consistently requesting for it.

These are some signs I can't remember and I know they are negative signs for you not to be paid after you do your part most times.

*** These signs are ; apart from whitepaper typographical mistakes and plagiarism  Grin Grin Grin

If we go with these signs and not sign up with a bounty you suspect could be scam, then the bounty will have less participants and with time, we can clear these scamming bounties out from this forum.

Each one tell all. You don't need to join suspected scam bounty.

I hope this thread will help bounty hunters.

One of the things i look at is there website first, you could catch a lot of red lights with just one look on their website, typographical errors, just overall sketchy. And the team behind the project, a lot of these scams would rather remain annonymous, thats a red flag.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: September 25, 2020, 03:00:40 PM
Oh yeah it definitely was. It was the time where you just made a white paper, create your own coin and it would take value because people were willing to buy it because of the hype. The sudden rise in value of the coins was beneficial to those who started crypto not long ago before 2017. I still regret missing the opportunity that year gave.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next trend for 2021? on: September 25, 2020, 11:22:38 AM
Well i certainly hope the next trend wouldnt be another pandemic. Jokes aside, im looking into NOIA right now, apart from DeFi coins, NOIA is looking very promising. With partners and advisors from big companies, i have hopes it will make a name.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest AIRDROP in the history of cryptocurrency on: September 25, 2020, 05:41:52 AM
Uniswap dropping the biggest airdrop to my knowledge and me completely missing it. I cant really say it was a near miss for me since i never really planned on using uniswap due to its higher fees but good to the people who benefitted from it.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And this is how you make 'easy' money riding the Defi on: September 24, 2020, 01:45:27 PM
Or, what if, on the other hand create this project so promising that people would actually believe in it and then get blinded by how DeFi is getting ahead and then change your project all together just to be able to squeeze DeFi in there for baiting purposes, letting youre loyal lookers down?

I guess i said too much.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is for day trading on: September 24, 2020, 12:27:58 PM
Altcoins are too volatile. It changes almost immediately in price, making it easier to cash money out everyday or lose money everyday depending on the movements of the coin. Considering bots to trade for you in altcoins if you would aim the daily grind would be helpful.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: September 24, 2020, 09:27:02 AM
I have questions about this as well. Why not use stable coins instead of using your own coins? And then we realize that this is one way for these projects to bloom with their coins.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - the niche within a niche and incredibly small community on: September 23, 2020, 02:27:47 PM
Most DeFi tokens are concentrated in hands of Top 500 Holders!   https://cointelegraph.com/news/analysis-most-defi-tokens-are-concentrated-in-hands-of-top-500-holders

If that is true, DeFi is like a sandbox game, with a very limited amount of players actually playing. Observing this from outside the crypto bubble itīs concerning that DeFi, while a good idea and worth investing, has such a small holders community.

Could that be a problem in the long run?

If what youre saying is true then yes it would be a problem in the long run. With so few big holders they could manipulate these coins to their whims in the future but then again, dont all coins? Even on coins that we have frequently nursed in our wallets, big holders still manipulate those markets. Just dont mind it i guess if you really believe on your project.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm scared of ethereum gas fee on: September 23, 2020, 12:53:06 PM
ETH is getting too volatile. Uniswap really set the bar too high for gas fees and even DeFi. Uniswap is known for higher gas fees but better trading, too much people have been using the ETH network therefore the demand for higher gas fees.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: September 23, 2020, 03:36:05 AM
It is highly unlikely for scams like these will go away. Especially now that there are more hunters out there that are willing to take up job because of the pandemic. Overall i just feel bad for hunters that spent their time on these scams.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people stop their crypto project? on: September 22, 2020, 01:03:42 PM
This happens quite often than not, especially now during this pandemic a lot of these projects are resurrecting and its just hard to trust that anymore. A lot of abandoned projects are showing up again, i say just stay away from them overall, there are a lot of projects out there, dont put your trust on something that already lost it.
