The last thing you mentioned is exactly what a Stop Limit Order is  Tongue You fill in your stop, upon which the order automatically becomes a limit order for the Limit price set, which is separate from the Stop price.

Sorry, I misunderstood it :-)
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Zhoutong: Please create Stop Limit Order on: March 13, 2012, 07:10:43 PM
I agree. I tried to use stop orders, but could not. The same happened to me. The thing is that the price spikes and your stop order becomes market order. But before the system is able to process it, the price moves back/forth/whatever, usually to your loss. I blame the spread for this.

Actually, a Limit stop order would not be any good, since when it should be executed, you'd get nothing, since the price probably moved just above your order. This is the way stuff happens with such high spread.

You probably want to place order "buy if prices goes above 5.0, but not for more that 5.1". I would like that too, but then it'd be more like programming a bot.

Hey slush, I'm sorry this happened. I'm sending a few coins to you, for your hard work and the decision to cover the losses!
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto X Change - What would YOU the community like to see and join us???? on: March 01, 2012, 06:39:40 PM
Well, I'm sorry if someone mentioned it, but I'll be practical.

Id'd like cleaner and faster interface. It may be cool-looking, but even on my 24" display I can't see a lot and the page is slow loading and even after it is loaded, it is slow because of all that javascript there. I just won't ever use exchange like for other purpose than sell my bitcoins and withdraw them, and even then it is a pain to do it...

Nice work! I've tried some of them and works pretty well.

Although I had a problem (half an hour ago?) with "Search for Official Websites and Facebook Pages for UK Churches and Charities" -- I finished one and it never came up in my activities (well, I actually answered all of them with "haven't found anything", but it was true and should not matter, right?). I did it for my addr 18nZhLNLybgH2w2SQj3KokKKVcL3ce49PV, extended.

Hi,

is there some update on when it will be done?
48  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting money out of TradeHill on: February 17, 2012, 09:03:31 AM
Thank you. I wanted to do just that, but bitinstant does not allows me to choose TH as source. I guess I'll wait until it is possible.
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Getting money out of TradeHill on: February 16, 2012, 09:48:13 PM
Hello,

do you know how can I get my money from tradehill to any other exchange (preferably MtGox, CryptoXchange or bitcoinica) cheaply? I don't have a lot ($123) and international wire is $45, which is way too much for this small sum. The OKPay debit card is around the same sum ($33 + they'll hold $10 as minimum balance, if I understand it correctly).

I wrote to tradehill, but got no response for a while now. I was thinking about some combination of local wire transfers (like from TH to BitInstant), but can't find anything. Why can't just TH issue a mtgox coupon?

Any help/ideas would be welcome!

Did someone say Tea?

Buy tea with your bitcoins here:

http://bitbrew.net/teas-too/

That is just cool! I'm bookmarking this one!
51  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which one (aka I want to give you 1 free Bitcoin)? on: January 26, 2012, 09:06:37 PM
Voted for A, since it's more pleasing for my eye.

The B probably has bug (the T is not ended properly on the far side). It would be better if it was not so deep, but I'd vote for A anyway.

I'm in the process of setting up a bitcoin e-commerce site and British tea is one of the things I'll be selling  Smiley

I'd love that! Please, let me know when you open it!

Where are you based if I may ask?

You can post bounty campaigns in the Project Development subforum or the Services section in the Marketplace subforum I just recently patched the bitcoin client for someone for 5 BTC in the project development subforum

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into project development, I was under the impression it is only for bitcoin related projects (like client, online services etc.). The Marketplace/Services is a mess. There is all kind of (pseudo)services, ofter not explained well.

how do you buy from china? ebay?
a specific seller/store?

Well, I haven't used ebay for tea yet, but I probably will this spring, when the tea gets harvested. I hear there are a few shops that offer good tea for fair price.

I'm buying from www.yunnansourcing.com . They have fair prices, good tea, great pottery (although not very good selection of it currently). I also have some experience with refunding broken goods (some of teaware broke the last time we ordered, and they refunded them in full just againts a photograph of it, without problems).

I think your bid is a little low. I haven't looked into how much time that would take, but if it is only worth 1BTC it would have to be less than an hour to be at minimum wage levels.

It's possible, that's why the price should be negotiable and someone can come and say "Hey, I'll do it for 5BTC". On the other hand, some student may come and do it in his free time school project (and you may get credits, grades or whatever you university works on) and on top of it get paid.

I'd think this is work for half an hour, if you know where to look. I would do it myself, but it's written in xlib and therefore bit hard for someone who has no experience with it (like me). It may be much easier for someone who's actually familiar with it.

No tea shops in CZ?
there should be...
maybe you should check some UK websites as well.
Good luck

There are, but usually not what I'd expect. You can buy common teas almost everywhere, but it's usually too expensive and not exactly outstanding. Of course, there are some exceptions I know of, but especially good Pu-Erh tea is hard to get here.

Also, I've had some pu-erh tea before, bought in cz, and was not amazed. Until I ordered some good stuff from china. I was amazed then and fell in love. One would say it's the same stuff, but it's not. My friend jokes that they probably sell here what's left on the floor of tea factory after the good tea is made :-)

I'm currently looking for a good source for taiwan/japan teas, preferably in taiwan/japan (I do trust them more than local resellers and don't mind slow delivery, as long as I get a good tea). Unforunately, I've had little luck.

Hello,

here is one thing I would like to see somewhere (perhaps a dedicated sections here on this forum?):

People would offer work for bitcoins. I would imagine:

I will pay 1 BTC for improving mupdf (a favourite pdf viewer of mine), so that it can:
- print current pdf (would show a command in a box like currently search is displayed, and will supply reasonable default, for example lp, and allows me to alter it)
- save current pdf to a file (would show a prompt for path, which will allow expansion of ~ to user's home)

Price is negotiable. Conditions: patch accepted by upstream.

(this is actually real feature request: from me http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691330#c33 )

People would bid (not unlike the forum modification request for bitcointalk), also people may want to offer more bitcoins if they  would use this feature.

What do you think? I've seen a lot of offers like "I'm looking for work", but I think the approach I'm suggesting is better for both sides. I haven't found anything like what I'm suggesting (or it was not taken seriously)

The offer above is real, feel free to contact me for more details. I have some more ideas that I'm willing to sponsor in this way (I like to think about it as the GPUs I own do some work for me, since I don't have the time to do it all by myself).

They seem to ship to CZ at a reasonable price, I will look what they are offering, thank you!

It sounds fancy, but is just a great tea. You buy it in cakes, chip off some and infuse it several times (usually from 5 seconds to several minutes, it depends on how strong you like your tea), every time it has a bit different taste. Try it!

By the way, where do you get your teas? I live in czech republic and the vendors are not good (either too expensive, or low quality). I buy pu-erh from yunnansourcing.com, but they only have a pu-erh and some green tea. They have great stuff.

Hello,

I'm thinking about what to discuss here to get my 5 posts, so what about tea? Are there some tea lovers here, at bitcointalk?

I love Pu-Erh tea, especially raw blends (don't mind young, since I like the bitter taste) and some sweetish ripe ones.

What kind of tea do you like? Do you have some tips for a great tea to try?

(I've just came up with this topic as I smashed my small gaiwan lid while washing it, what a shame Sad)
