41  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~450 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed bloc on: May 09, 2011, 02:42:06 AM
What is your hashrate ?Are those "None"s mostly on the shortest blocks ?

Thanks to Veldy (sorry if mistyped your name Smiley ) my hashrate is ~280Mhash/s Smiley
Yes, mostly on shortest blocks and there is usually many shares for those blocks. I'm not on my main machine so i don't remember exact figures.

Usually +1k of shares on those "none"s.

Honestly I think Tycho has no responsibility to be below 50%, thats the responsibility of the miners that contribute to the pool to decide.  The fact that tycho is doing anything at all about this speaks volumes.

For a week I moved off of deepbit for the exact reason I did not want to be part of the biggest pool, but i came back when I found that no other pool really was as good.

If people really have an issue with this they need to create their own pool, with slush the way things are there are only 3 serious pools out there that I would consider.

I fully agree with you! Actually, i'm proud that i joined to deepbit, based on my very limited knowledge deepbit is really good pool.

Yes, it is safe to have fan speed over 50%

Thanks for that info. I don't remember have i read somewhere or did someone said that running fan over 50% can cause damage.
46  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~320 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: May 05, 2011, 04:54:33 PM
you can try -v -w 128 -f 40

Holy smoke what an boost;
277-286 Mhash/s  Shocked

Thank you for good tip, monitoring temps etc now and i don't see any lag etc. So cool! Smiley

EDIT: is it safe if fan speed is over 50%?
Currently it's 53%

What is your hashrate ?

It's between 233-239 Mhash/s ATM
(stock 5850)

EDIT: I use Proportional

when i didn't fully understood this (i still don't understand all) i was very paranoid and did hopping between PPS and Pro, then i finally made my mind and i've been using Pro for +2months and not going to switch back to PPS, no matter what Smiley

50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: "Who" is creating new adresses in Bitcoin client? on: April 29, 2011, 04:36:15 AM
The client generates a new address for you whenever the current one receives a transaction. The old addresses are still usable.

Thanks for info, i actually was getting paranoid about that and did quick hdd restore incase of malvare etc.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: "Who" is creating new adresses in Bitcoin client? on: April 29, 2011, 03:44:03 AM
Thanks for reply, and by "who" i ment that is there somekind of bug etc what is causing this?

I've never made any addresses, new addresses are just popping in :/

edit: 0.3.20.2 beta version
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / "Who" is creating new adresses in Bitcoin client? (solved&locked) on: April 29, 2011, 03:30:49 AM
Hi.

I'm not sure is this correct forum for this question.

My question is this:
"Who" is creating new adresses in Bitcoin client? Everytime i exit/close client and start it up again there is new address in Address Book (receiving). I know i can have lots of them, but i hate that new addresses are coming to it. I only need one and that should be enough for me.

How i can get rid of those extra addresses?

Placement is not bad IMO
54  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - now supports puddinpop's RPCminers on: April 25, 2011, 04:29:19 PM
Windows 7 64 bit, Radeon 5850 - negligible CPU usage (an occasional 1%)

Same here, and RAM ~40MB
(mining 24/7) current uptime few weeks Smiley
55  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~160 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: April 24, 2011, 11:10:02 AM
Just wondering:

Why there is some days missing on payments? (miner been online 24/7 so thats not reason).

Last payment received is 24.4 and second is 22.4. So 23.4 is missing? And thats not only day, there is other day missing too in past.

Why is my average shares per block percentage getting worse and worse? Does it mean that my GPU is getting "out dated" and i need to buy better Shocked

Considering the almost doubled bitcoin price now you are earning even more than last week Smiley

Thanks, didn't think of it that way. My electric bill for last month was ~170$ and i was thinking that there is no way for me to compensate it while having fun on mining BTC.

edit: my avarega shares are 12.7% worse atm :/
58  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~160 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: April 21, 2011, 12:39:41 PM
I think my career as BTC miner is over (rewards have been really low for few days and i don't see point continuing) It's been fun while it lasted, thank you all Smiley
59  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~100 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: April 13, 2011, 05:46:52 PM
Number of blocks found by you: 8
cool Cool

If that luck has been on solo i could have 400BTC Shocked but i seriously doubt that my luck is not enough on solo. I mean it would be cool to have over 400BTC instead of 13.71BTC
but i'm not complaining Smiley
