Really glad you like the quarry, Cockeyed. What do you have planned for your computer upgrade?

Right now I plan to do just an little upgrade by using another laptop with an nvidia quattro fx 770m graphics card in it. I think this should be at least a little bit more hashing rate.

But as I´m not an expert in configuring mining programs, I have no clue how I can tell to the bfgminer that there is an opengl card now. Maybe tomorrow I will do some hours of google research for that. For tonight I have to continue with CPU-miner as I did not get bfgminer running. Maybe I have to enable opengl somewhere in the cards driver, or installing some additional driver or something...

Edit after one Day: I managed to get BFGminer work with my card. I tried to mine, but it did not appear on the stat. My miner line is:

bfgminer -o http://treasurequarry.com:9844 -u iNYf2CfdzeMcpinuC3jxWAhXD79PXC3QF1+0.00001000 -p x

anything I need to change? Thanks?

Is there anything which it means us to do?
I think for history purpose the old stats should remain somehow accessible.
PS: I had no chance fto take the task for my planned upgrade session. I will try to speed up my mining on monday. Beside of all the quarrel here in the quarry, it´s a really cool pool I must say.

OK, thanks.

Is there any webpage where we can see the ovarall hashrate, difficulty, blockchainsize, etc.?

Whatever. I did not get anything since days. I guess itīs because the overall hashrate is exploded and my 1.5 kH is kinda homeopathic. By tomorrow or friday I will upgrade a bit.
45  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Stuck transaction using electrum wallet on: August 21, 2013, 09:10:08 PM
Thanks, now it updates correctly. The stuck transactions are gone and the coins are on my account. Great!
But now there is a new problem: I can not spend any coins. electrum is saying "Not enough funds". I have now 1.3 fully confirmed coins in my wallet and can not spend 0.5. Something I´m missing here?

Maybe Coins or addresses are "frozen" or something?
46  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Stuck transaction using electrum wallet on: August 21, 2013, 07:28:24 PM
What I did is to reboot everything, but no result. Changing server I did not try, I did not even know there are other servers which I can change to.

If I could I would use the regular BitCoinQt, but the Blockchain stops loading halfway, even after deleting everything in the folder and loading it again it stops at the exaxtly same block. So I have to stay with electrum... Tomorrow I will look up the internet to find out how to change to another server. Thanks so far.
47  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Stuck transaction using electrum wallet on: August 21, 2013, 03:38:31 PM
I experienced same. 2 transactions each about half a BTC pending two days. I did not pay fees.  I know it´s recommended to pay something for speeding it up, but I think it will not be THAT slow because of not paying anything. Maybe its because I just got them. If I will get it back after 4 days or something it will be OK, then I can try again. Other transactions without fees some days before went through very fast (only some hours).
48  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitcoin "Monarch" PCI Express 600 GH/s cards.. What the heck on: August 21, 2013, 05:35:44 AM
What about founding an own company for mining products? I know itīs not easy by far, but if you cucceed, you will not need any bankīs credit and be booked out for the next years... Cheesy
49  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitcoin "Monarch" PCI Express 600 GH/s cards.. What the heck on: August 20, 2013, 09:19:01 PM
Oh come on, people. You are cruel and unfair to poor BFL. It's not like they are not trying Grin Grin Grin
But seriously, 600mhash/s how are they going to cool all that in such small blade? Will it be again "two more weeks and you have it in your hands, we swear! We just need to fix cooling/power issue it will take 3 more days and you'll have it in 2 weeks!"

If it only consumes 350W due to the new smaller technology, then itīs like a graphicsCardīs power throughput. Therewith theoretically possible. But remember what theyīve said about Jalapenoīs power consumption: originally 4,5W, later corrected to 30W. If same with this new blade, you will get something like 2kW... then there is a big problem. I wonīt buy it, Iīm still waiting for my Single. I donīt want to buy new hardware for mining endlessly.

I bet, short time before they deliver, they will announce the new "Empire Blade" with 5TH, Preorders now, customers of "Monarch Blade" can be switched by a fee of 15%. Alleged "Delivery late autumn 2014"...

One thing is clear: They are the real winners. Iīm not against technical progression, but Iīm also not itīs junky.

Damn, I wanted to sell some IFC on eBay, and I wrote "InfiniteCoin - not BitCoin" to make clear what it is. eBay got somehow crazy now. They erased my offer because itīs "Abue of Trademarks". So BitCoin is a Trademark now on ebay... Really crazy gus, but never mind.

What I wanted to say: Some hours ago IFC went time 18 (from 5 to 90)! But now dropped back to 8. (on Coins-E).

@Hippie Tech:

I fully get your point, and I agree to you that something appears somehow strange with how the payments come off. But we should be fair. Honestly, I donīt feel that anybody is scamming here; maybe itīs kind of bug in the poolīs software or itīs like TreasureSeeker said: In the long run it will be just. As I am not an expert, I can not know more. For myself it looks somehow fine: I donīt get any amount for days, then I get some quite big numbers of coins for a short period. Take a look at iNY....QF1 at full track: 2.93 GH. For that I ceceived until now 115893 IFC which looks about reasonable for me. Like many here I also wonder how the payments are exactly calculated - I have no clue.

Anyways, like in real life we should not say:"This is scam", because itīs not proven. There is no point in stating something we just think of as a fact. Other people may read it and take it for proven.

Better say"I think it is scam because...".

Thatīs my 2 IFC on this. Thanks.

Thanks for upgrading. Can you tell what are the exact +points of the new pool software´s update? I hope we will not have any open fire or something in the quarry...
Yesterday I bought another used laptop for my work, it has an "NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M" which should give me some more speed than now (maybe 6-7 kH/s). Surely, not comparable with recent ATIs, but I did not buy it for mining, so what.

Any hints, which miner and which settings I should use with that? So far I use bfgMiner for BitCoins and cpuMiner for IFCs.

By the way: I observe that the TreasureQuarry slowly gets crowded... When I started, there were only 5 miners or so, now there are many more.

Everything red on my graph. Looks quite dangerous... Huh
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GRouPcoin on: August 14, 2013, 09:18:51 PM
I found out how to get your own GRouPcoin address via VanityGen:

vanitygen.exe -X 3 2

Vanitygen spit out: 2mar3rNLbP9M4oFdLXPNaL4jw2kbDQyWpE

If you donīt need your GRouPcoins, you can use my address ;-)

Have a nice mining!
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GRouPcoin on: August 12, 2013, 02:52:49 PM
Thanks for the hint with VanityGen.

"Vanitygen can handle any prefix too, so you could use vanitygen to create an address for any coin."

can anybody explain how to get a "2"-prefix for a groupcoin address? All I could get ouf fron VanityGen are the prefixes "1", "N", "n", "M", "m".

thanks
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GRouPcoin on: August 10, 2013, 04:42:33 PM
Dear markm,

yesterday I inserted into BitParking just my BitCoin-address, as I have it´s private key. At later times, when I converted to LINUX (or there came out a Windows client - whatever happened earlier...;-), so I planned, I could make use of the GroupCoins (which are already more than 10 now - BitParking displays that number).

So far my idea.
But if the GroupCoin prefixes with 2, then its useless. Maybe somebody wants to change my newly to create GroupCoins into Devcoins? Then I just put in your GroupCoin adress, and you can send some (how many?) Devcoins for exchange. Just my humble idea. Don´t take this too serious, I guess that GroupCoins maybe don´t have any value at all.

Anyways, I would prefer to keep them by myself if I just could...

+1 for a windows version for my old Win XP. I´m not ready for Linux yet. For the beginning I would be satisfied with any kind of address-generator, so that I can use an address for merged mining in Bitparking-Pool. Any paper-wallet-creator or something in the net?

thanks! Stupid me... Tongue
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][I0C] Resurrection, memory problems and instabilitiy fixed! on: August 07, 2013, 10:05:31 AM
This seems really cool.

I am used to DOS, so using the command prompt is no problem for me. But I really would like to have kind of a manual with the meaning of all the commands. OK, they are kind of "self explanatory", got it. But all the trial and error costs many hours / maybe days. Thanks a lot anyways! Smiley
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Merged Mining? on: August 05, 2013, 09:41:26 AM
Hello Treasureseeker,

I got alltogether now 41600 IFC, looks cool!

One Question: Do you think itīt possible to mine LiteCoin or other Scrypt-based coins together with IFC? Is there something I can do by myself to do this? Or itīs dependant on the pool?

I hope itīs going all well with all the coins ;-)
