41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rant: I am thinking of Quitting my Interest in Crypto Currency on: October 05, 2019, 08:50:17 PM
i took along break from crypto lasting for about 2 years, nothing was realy happening was tired of all the same hype train going on for everything new and ending up leading no where.
thought about quiting all together and i did for 2 years, but i came back and found it fun again once i stopped listen to all the hype and just enjoyed it for what it is. its not going to change the world. but it a fun hobby Smiley and maybe one day it will change the world but i would not hold m breadth just enjoy it for what it is!
42  Economy / Economics / Re: How did the Bakkt launch go? Quick recap on: October 05, 2019, 06:37:04 PM
bakkt was so hyped up from the beginning , and if it release when it was suppose to back in the bull market it could have been a huge boost of the prices, but instead we got postpone after postpone and the hype surround bakkt died alot from all the wait time for it to release.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra left alone by a big payment processor on: October 05, 2019, 06:22:25 PM
PayPal has pulled their guns out of the Libra project according to CoinTelegraph. Do you guys think Libra is going to be a big fail of Facebook? Would you actually use a Facebook based coin to make payments at businesses and friends taking into account the previous press scandals like Cambridge Analytica?

It will have no effect at all so far, but if big names that are part of the group left, then Libra coin has something to worry about, I don't like Paypal to be part of the team because of their policy in Cryptocurrency, they can trace people who uses their system to trade Cryptocurency and they are in a hurry to limit people, they are robbing their users with this kind of system.

but losing paypal is still a big deal for libra , alot of people that never used crypto use paypal to do what crypto does, so it would have been a nice gateway for alot of people into the world of crypto.
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We are finally going to $22k on: October 05, 2019, 06:16:51 PM
I have no doubt that BTC will climb well over $20K before the next halving event which is due to take place in May 2020, but when will the steady climb begin?

will start to climb more in december i think, guess it will go until then now when the hyped as died out abit from the presummer rush of btc climbing again, but it will start to climb sometime before the halvening. so my guess is at december seems to match how it has been before.
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the day trading profitable ? on: October 05, 2019, 06:12:54 PM
my roomate does alot of daytrading on the stock market and the btc market, he watches charts and find a good spot to get in and a spot to get out, but he has alot of discipline.
Most people that trade are mostly gambling guessing where it will go and that never works in the long run.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: October 05, 2019, 06:03:17 PM
You know this question is unavoidable...

DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN?

A lot of people have heard of the benefits achievable with BTC investments and decided to invest.
The recent market setbacks have brewed a very big question in the minds of new investors...

What will be your response to this question?

For me, you didn't make any mistake. When investing in bitcoin it is like your patience are being tested. When you want to invest you just need to know that bitcoin is very volatile and it is not a quick way to become rich. Just learn everything on how it works and you will realize that you are not making any mistake.
the patience is really needed mostly if you invest in crypto currency  Bitcoin is not quick to rich scheme that can give you profit every time  you invested.

It would be alot healthier if more people looked at bitcoin this way that its a long term investment. if you hold btc for atleast 5 years im pretty sure you would make some money. maybe not the millions people dream about , but atleast get more then you invested.

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin so valuable just because it was first? on: July 20, 2019, 01:20:02 AM
I have thought about this a lot, especially more recently as I question why I'm using Bitcoin. Since cryptocurrency began, there have been so many new and improved versions of the "Bitcoin blockchain", one of the most notable probably being Ethereum.

It's always painful to use Bitcoin in comparison with sometimes up to $5 transaction fees for sending even $10, not to mention the amount of time transactions take. It kind of feels like Bitcoin is a sinking ship in some ways, because of the increasing problems that occur with a blockchain system. However, this doesn't seem to faze many, as the price keeps rising again and hitting new records.

My ultimate question is: "Is Bitcoin so valuable just because it was first?" As technology progresses it's inevitable that new and better ways of doing things will be discovered. But is it really about just being first in today's world? What are your guy's thoughts on this? Do you think there will be a breaking point aka, amount of inconveniences people will put up with before moving on?

yes i believe so it was first and is the most talked about crypto coin, if you ask a person not into crypto they will most likley have heard about bitcoin , if you ask them about eth they have no idea what you are talking about, so that has to push the price alot compare to the rest of the market, if it will always be the most valuble is another question becuse as you say the fees for small transactions are abit on the expensive side.

Bad timing for this project since MSC is actually getting 10000 users registering and depositing everyday https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5156693.0
Idea is cool and design is stunning!

55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chinese Crypto Trader Committed Suicide ( lesson for all crypto traders ) on: June 30, 2019, 06:19:25 PM
Its sad when I hear news like this, people committing suicide because they lose a lot of money. Life is the most important thing and we have life we can rebuild whatever we have lost. This should be a lesson to all traders that we shouldn't invest too much money.

amen brother, its just money after all its not the most important thing in life and should never be a reason for killing yourself, ofc this is a special case becuse this is crazy much money, and guess he took investors money and used them also.
but this is realy sad its just money after all. greed kills.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I am so frustrated with bitcoin on: June 30, 2019, 05:30:40 PM
It has become clearly evident that bitcoin will dominate the world as the global number 1 cryptocurrency, that's is OK with me.
BUT...
what I am finding really frustrating is all the retail, and institutional money that will only ever flow into bitcoin and will never, ever touch any altcoins.
Sure bitcoin is the master, the supreme, the original crypto, but for gods sake, its now the only cryptocurrency.
Surely out of the 2000+ altcoins, some of these will be almost as powerful as bitcoin.

The altcoins have been smashed of late, purely by the greed of bitcoin, sucking up the global fiat money.

Every altcoin has been sold off and money shoveled into bitcoin.  WHEN IS THE PAIN GOING TO STOP!

I have lost so much money on my altcoin HST decision token, purely based on the greed of bitcoin.

Please as an altcoin investor, please stop hurting us, this is so damn cruel.

think the alt coins will lose even more before they start gaining again, btc is to hot right now i understand why people are selling of alts to buy more btc, its a no brainer pretty much.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: June 30, 2019, 03:26:11 PM

58  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading stressful for you? on: June 30, 2019, 03:22:21 PM
I believe it is!

What do you do to relief trading stress? Do you have any alternatives?

As for me I stopped trading for 3 months and play blockchain games. Now I feel myself better!

UPD #1

Some people asked about blockchain games and how to find them. so I've made this list of games https://www.producthunt.com/@house_lama/collections/blockchain-games

UPD #2

There is a good blockchain shooter War Field. it’s 100% not scam so I can send it here. you can read details about this game here (I don’t send direct link to their website not to make them advertisement) https://gameunculus.io/blog/96
definitely creating is stressful for me but it is also profitable for me so that I do not consider more about the stress because we had the time and age to make our life to be peaceful if we miss this opportunity then the problem will affect you in the future.

dont think so money chances comes and goes you can never realy miss out of getting money further down the road, dont know how many stocks i seen 10x during my time trading and i was always stressful i misssed out, its just a illusion man it always comes new chances thats life.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I GOT BURNT TODAY on: June 30, 2019, 03:19:38 PM
Surely. i entered the market at its peak.  Cry Cry Cry Cry. i doubt if i will survived this epic move of mine. btc was at 11,000K. i never checked TAs and just entered. i pray i recovered my money back. actually, it was FOMO. to be honest.

if u have this weak nerves i can give you a tip right now just stop doing this investment thing its not for you, u gonna be burned way harder along the road and if u cant even deal with maybe buying at the top u are to weak for this market.
Alot of us has been burned way harder without even flinching its a part of the game.
60  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: June 30, 2019, 03:17:20 PM
The traditional norms made us believe that savings are a safe option to store your wealth.
But is it true now?
With inflation, we all know that the prices of the wealth we have kept in our savings account will decrease. What is the use of saving when ultimately we are not even able to enjoy what we have been saving for years?
The smarter option?
Investment! Investment is not gambling if done rightly. Very often we see people not putting too much effort into learning and jumping into FOMO. They don’t have enough guidance that will help them to invest better.

if i look at my investments over 4 years time i would have made alot more money if i did just hodl instead of doing some margin trading here and there , the crypto market is to volotile to make margin bets, u gonna earn alot but lose alot with the swings.
