not just a niche this would be a cavernous void in the market for someone.
43  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Guiminer .5 BTC Bounty for solution! :) on: October 15, 2012, 09:48:59 PM
Hello guys, Looking for a solution to a problem .5btc to the single best answer that helps me fix it.

Running guiminer on windoze I can connect to the bitclockers pool, and slush's pool without problems.  I can solo mine, and I can even connect to a private server to join a pool but for some reason I keep getting kicked off after about 12 hours.  Intermittently I can reconnect but it seems like I have to wait for a few days.

What do you guys think is my problem?  I am mining and getting shares, then suddenly "problems communicating with bitcoin RPC."  I do not believe it is on the end that I am connecting to because of other people are not having problems, just me.  Tongue

**edit** This is what I am mining with:

7970
5970
5870
5830
6770
5770
5770
5770
5770
6670
Llano APU

I don't really want to change how this is all setup right now.  So if you can't figure that out, don't "help" mmmkay?
have you tried changing the miner kernel.
add new miner and select pheonix as the kernel from the menus at the top of the gui. the pheonix kernel should be in the guiminer directory and it will be selectable from the menu in the guiminer interface. you then have to manually add the pool:port worker name and pass.

edit: i havent used guiminer for a while and i am not at my rig so the instructions are not very clear. sorry.

payment received in the last hour.

I had a little over 30 BTC in my account but had a few buy and sell orders placed. I recieved a little under 30 BTC and with no rounding up or down. Possibly some of my buy orders went through reducing my balance before the site closed.

You should check the GLBSE trade history.  If you are able to remember what your bids and asks were at you might be able to confirm the account you should receive back.
thanks, I will look through this and see what went through in the last day of trading.
Shouldnt be too hard, there was only a few assest that i was intersted in.

there is no way to vote on this , I still think crypto is best then vote on there via motions on what to do next

instead of giving away shares of RSM to projects that may not work out

I'm not using Cryptostocks to trade or issue shares.  With coloured coins you could create your own asset on Cryptostocks valued against your coloured coins (shares) if you want to, or on a Open-Transaction server or you could just trade your shares (colored coins) however you want, but I'm not creating, issuing or trading any shares ever again.  Also we are not giving away shares I will hold them.  The devs will just receive the profit from those allocated shares as long as there developing for us.
What are you using these projects for?

49  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 09, 2012, 10:16:01 PM

EDIT: I had to change "I'd say" to "I'd guess" because k3t3r would go on a 10 post rant about how I am a liar with no proof and then when I tell him "I'd say" means I am guessing per the definition of the phrase he'd think I was admitting to jumping to my own conclusions without evidence... so just for the record in case k3t3r gets freaked out, I have no evidence of this, these are just my opinions and thoughts.
just to note that i dont rant, and have largely ingored this kind of stupidity, i am only interested in establishing the facts.
50  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 09, 2012, 10:12:02 PM

And I call fucking bullshit, Theymos said the funds are "anonymous user funds"  they are not operating expenses and shareholder funds.

My understanding is based upon the most recent email from the secretary.

Quote
The address is: 18bEUAuzWg97swzHXzK4prGGYSBAMCUgz

theymos: If you feel that is a secure address, then send away.

Nefario: Note that this means all of BG's operating funds are in my
hands once they arrive at that address.

So as a review... he said 18bEUAuzWg97swzHXzK4prGGYSBAMCUgz is the paperwallet address, he also said that funds sent to that address would not be given to Nefario, then in the above referenced post he quotes a conversation between Theymos and Nefario that Nefario says the funds are in his hands when they arrive at that address.

Does that work for you?
no, that is not a conversation between nefario an theymos, that is an email sent to both from coldhardmetal with notes to theymos telling him to "send away" and a note to nefario telling him "...means ...funds are in my hands"
51  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 09, 2012, 09:35:52 PM
As I said, the funds were sent to the secretary, not Nefario.

And in another post he referenced once the funds were transferred that Nefario would have complete control of them.

can you reference the post where he said this?

If someone else asked then yes I could, you asking, I'm not going to waste my time finding it.  People actually fully and completely reading the thread and comprehending have already seen it, you've proven to me you don't fully read or comprehend my posts.
I would just like to see the evidence for your claim that this is a lie. I didnt see the lie in the posts that you quoted and when asked where the lie is you said it was somewhere else in another post. I would just like to see some evidence for you claims.

53  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 09, 2012, 08:14:06 PM

I'm now ignored for pointing out complete lies like this one:

Must not have been these funds.

May we have the public address of said paper wallet please, so that we may keep an eye on them?

I don't see any reason why this cannot be released. 18bEUAuzWg97swzHXzK4prGGYSBAMCUgz

The funds tied to that address are now in control of BG's secretary.

Which is bullshit, why send ~800btc more to be controlled by Nefario when he already has ~8000btc of illegally obtained funds?

What will giving Nefario ~800btc more do that he couldn't have done with the ~8000btc?

As I said, the funds were sent to the secretary, not Nefario. He only accepted them reluctantly (rather than have Theymos keep them) so that Nefario would have no reason to not begin dispersing customer funds.

People need to wake up and take note of this.
I dont see the lie, what is the lie here?
54  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 08, 2012, 11:31:05 PM
Settle down peeps.

A paper wallet has been generated and all outstanding funds should be going there soon. Its not an easy process to wind down such a large company like GLBSE as you can imagine. Nefario is still in contact with everyone and untill he refuses to communicate via secure channels things are still in motion, albeit slowly.

could you please tell us how BTC addresses for refunds will be confirmed.

I feel sad that in all likelihood any visible bitcoin company is going to face the same fate as GLBSE and its not really nefario you should be angry about.

good to hear.
56  Economy / Securities / Re: Is your last Withdraw address on GLBSE the correct one? on: October 08, 2012, 09:36:28 PM
My last withdrawal from GLBSE was for 5BTC to btc-e.com

57  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 08, 2012, 04:49:38 PM
...just curious on references if possible to the SEC knowingly investigating GLBSE, I''d be very curious to become educated on that and any other threads/information regarding SEC or government involvement other than just what Nefarios said.

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/technology/willardfoxton2/100007836/bitcoin-pirate-scandal-sec-steps-in-amid-allegations-that-the-whole-thing-was-a-ponzi-scheme/

Quote
On September 24, an email was sent by an SEC investigator called Philip Moustakis to many of those who had invested in Pirate's scheme.

The email (seen by the Telegraph) indicated that the SEC is launching an investigation into Bitcoin Savings and Loan. Last night the SEC declined to comment on whether they are investigating, but confirmed that the email carried a correct email address, correct telephone numbers and seemed entirely bona fide. I've since been in contact with several investors in Bitcoin who have confirmed that they have spoken to Mr Moustakis, who is a Senior Attorney in the Enforcement Division of the SEC, with a distinguished record in investigating Ponzi schemes.

i'm sure they will let you give them a BTC address once you send them your passport and other AML docs   Roll Eyes

Did you eventually get your BTC returned Goat?

Some of the BTC but no assets.
Assets you issued or assets you bought?

Assets I bought. My account was closed and I have no access to my assets. This was true before the GLBSE shut down.

Still waiting for the rest of the BTC too...

Right, sorry I have not been following your scam accusation thread, so I dont know where you are upto with that. Have you been given a reason, explanation for this or request for further actions on your part?
