41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is month of October a trap for bitcoin? on: October 02, 2024, 02:42:19 AM
Welcome to the Downtober!

A nice BTC sale to open the month after Iran sent hundreds of its missiles to Israel. That's a bad sentiment that has driven the price of bitcoin down. Bitcoin is just reacting to global news like every other asset does. The uptober narrative is something to distract some people. In fact, some of the biggest market crashes in history happened in October, too. It's also possible for bitcoin to turn trend around.

Unless Middle Eastern people stop killing each other, the market will not boom.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: October 02, 2024, 01:09:59 AM
The results of the UEFA Champions league tonight is going well as predicted and some many goals has been produce already, Arsenal really got me surprised tonight by still winning PSG 2 goals to nothing though the match has not yet ended, Arsenal performance tonight really shown they might still get a goal before the final whistle.
Barcelona is trashing young boys 4-0, Robert Lewandowski opening the net what a brilliant performance by Barcelona at the camp nou, while Dortmund is making it look as if scoring goals is not very hard as they are beating Celtic 7-1 meanwhile Manchester City at away against Slovan Bratislava with a 4 goals lead what a nice result yet in the UEFA Champions league group stage.

I was expecting Arsenal to win at Emirates. But the only surprising to me is to see PSG not even being able to score 1 goal. Sad When I first saw Luis Enrique's starting eleven choice, I was worried about this kind of an outcome and now it happened. Barcola had a really bad day and preferring Lee as the centre-forward and Doue on the right wing were also choices hard to understand.

It's caused by Arsenal's defense being insane. Genuinely insane. They are one of the world's best technical teams. Their defense prevents PSG from creating any clear chances in open play.

Their defenders, Gabriel and Saliba, were outstanding. They shut down every PSG attack. Timber, with his amazing performance in the first half, had a tackle that was so amazing. Merino, with his excellent debut, won most of the aerial duels. Also, i like how Calafiori plays; he just pops up everywhere.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About this shit Hamster Kombat airdrop? on: October 01, 2024, 11:45:37 PM
yeah, it disappointed a lot of new crypto users, and maybe they deserved it in a way.

About 90% (or maybe even more) are definitely disappointed. The token is being currently traded, but the price is super low. Still, I think a few holders will stick around, hoping the price goes up eventually.

Hamster Kombat making hundreds of millions of dollars from its huge community and giving nothing back feels like a real scam.

I just checked the price on CoinMarketCap, and it's no surprise it keeps dropping. But who’s still hoping that the full launch will boost its value?

I wouldn't say they don't give you - anything - back, rather, people expected much more from such a big project in the tap-tap sector, thus, when they got their $5-$10, they were disappointed or enraged, in some cases.

I think differently. What people mean about not giving them is that they don't get what they expect from Hamster.

That's true, they expected much from this airdrop, but they have a reason for it. They have wasted months, or almost a year for it. So, i see nothing wrong with seeing their disappointment or enraged.

They should, at the very least, get a worthy amount of money that would pay back their time wasted on it. I am very disappointed with how Hamster fooled all of them. I hope people realize that working at Mcdonald paid them better instead of doing tap tap airdrop.

Tonight Arsenal will face PSG at the Emirates. I can’t wait for this game not just because it will be interesting but also because I want to see how well Arsenal will perform against a top European team like PSG. It one thing to be second best in the Premier League and another to be successful against teams from other leagues. The current PSG team is a tough team and will test Mikel Arteta and his boys. This this game will determine how prepared Arsenal are for European competitions.
It will be a fierce battle for Arsenal tonight. This is because they're gonna face a different PSG. Enrique is changing the culture of his team like what Arteta has done to them. PSG are a better all-rounded team now. They must play bully ball and put more on and off the ball work against PSG.

Although it's going to be a home game for them, they must prove if they're better than last season. PSG is in the same tier as Bayern Munich, a club that defeated them last season. The win against PSG is gonna boosting their mentality and confidence a lot.

Despite a poor performance shown by Manchester United. Yet again another problem is coming for them. They're being threatened by PSR if they fail to qualify for UCL. This is because the bad performance will decrease their income from the sponsorship. They may be losing a lot of their future income due to their horrible performances.

And i think, this is an old story that happened to the club who spent lots of money. The longer they're not at the top table, the harder it is to get back there. No matter the size or history of club.

What do you guys think about that? How big are their chances of getting back in UCL?

This is a prediction by OPTA.

Manchester United has a lower than 4% chance to qualify for UCL next season.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: October 01, 2024, 02:16:48 PM
I have this feeling that Manchester United have everything sorted out about their next manager but it has to be delayed maybe till  the current coach contract expires that's if ETH hasn't killed the team completely. I see the assistant coach van Nistelrooy as a possible candidate to take the job after ETH might have left, this is something the board of directors are some how hiding from the public, I'm just saying but it might be true. If van Nistelrooy takes over I think he can do perfectly well and even have better relationship with the players, that relationship is what Erik ten Heg is really lacking with the squad.

It's impossible for Manchester United to wait till the end of Ten Hag's contract just to replace him. They handed him a new contract extension until June 2026. You're right; he has not completely killed his team, but he almost buried his club with the way he coached them.

They're falling out of the top 10 under him. It's still early in the season, but their stats are worse than last season's after six games. They rarely show improvement in their performance.

It's hard to accept the reality, but this is what happened to them. The only solution is to sack him. I don't even see a better solution than it.

And some names are starting to appear to be his replacement.

I think South Gate is a very good replacement for him.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 01, 2024, 12:22:48 AM
Omar Marmoush is the top scorer of the Bundesliga now with 6 goals and Kane follow him with 5 goals. I didn't know much about this guy before honestly. He didn't seem this impressive back then. But now I see he has made a great start. He plays a big role in Frankfurt's being at the 2nd position now as well. Have you ever watched him so far? Do you think he can compete Kane for finishing as top scorer?  Huh

Omar Marmoush is a potential striker. You rarely heard of him because he played on a mid-table team in the Bundesliga. But he's getting even better with his performance. He's still under development, but shows very good progress. He had 5 goals and 1 assist in 22/23, and 12 goals and 6 assists in 23/24. He is now competing with Kane for the top scorer.

His stellar performance raised his price, from 1.5m to 22m, per the transfermarkt below. And i guess some PL clubs may be dropping €60-70m next season if keeps this up.

I would still write Kane to the top honestly. There are really capable strikers in the league. There is no doubt about it. But Kane's level is just something else.  Grin  And he has more capable teammates to keep him fed.
We can't really compare him to Kane. He still lacks experience in the professional scene. Kane has played for over 15 years. But, he is very well developed in Frankfurt. He could be a competitor to Kane.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your expectations of Blockchain improvements? on: September 30, 2024, 11:11:35 AM
With several Layers of blockchain having several limitations like:

1. complexity
2. absolute on-chain security of assets
3. true ownership in web3 gaming
4. fragmented liquidity,
what do you think has improved as we enter Q4 of 2024 and what do you thinks needs devs attention to make it better?
I've seen a couple of blockchain projects in the testnet phase trying to address some of these limitations.

I. Haven1 - the L1 blockchain aims to improve on-chain security of assets leveraging proof of authority consensus to secure users assets.
II. Xion - introduces absolute chain abstraction for simplicity in the use of blockchain and onboard web3 users, buidlers and devs without barriers.

However, mainnet launch determines how successful they could become. Time will tell!

But there should be more to drive up significant adoption or don't you think so?
I don't think so, and i disagreed with your statement. We have more than enough blockchains for mass adoption. There should not be more blockchains created. It won't raise adoption much. But, it will split demand among various ecosystems. It means the demands get divided, and we'll rarely be seeing a massive pump happen.

Also, many conflicts are often happening between communities that back the blockchains. I have seen it a lot in the past when various communities attacked each other due to competition. That's why i said enough with th existings blockchain in the market.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: It's great that AI is taking over jobs, I'm just afraid that... on: September 30, 2024, 10:56:24 AM

When the first machine was invented, people thought workers could take it easy. But what happened? More factories appeared, the workload increased, and capitalists were all smiles, while workers still had to toil away. When computers first came out, we thought we could say goodbye to pen and paper. But what happened? Now, we can't even go to the bathroom without taking our laptops, afraid of missing an email. And don't even get me started on phones—we thought they would broaden our horizons, but our view has shrunk to the size of a screen. Many jobs are now completed with AI assistance, and tasks that used to take three days now have to be done in one. Keynes once said that by the end of the 20th century, technological advancement would reduce the average workweek to 15 hours, but maybe only the Nordic countries have achieved that.

Artificial intelligence (AI) market interest growth 2015 to 2023, by share of companies

Source : https://www.statista.com/statistics/1424672/ai-market-interest-worldwide/

The picture showed how AI's market is growing so significantly every year. As more companies explore how to use AI, they are seeking a way to lower their costs.

The advancement of tech can't be avoided. The smart people will always think about how to follow it rather than how to stay away from it. It's hard to fight against the trend. And an example, dotcom bubble

Keynes once said that by the end of the 20th century, technological advancement would reduce the average workweek to 15 hours, but maybe only the Nordic countries have achieved that.

If I am not wrong, I must have read it somewhere that Nordic countries think about giving pension to their citizens once jobs will be done by AI and robots. We will come to that end at some point in our life and when there will be no jobs left for people, then they must be put on pension but then another problem will arise. What are people going to do when they won't have to work? This is the most interesting part and that part makes me afraid.

It sounds good for the current generation. They will get pension funds after AI takes their jobs. But, what about the future generation? Life is always moving forward. If it happens, AI will fully automate everything. There will be no jobs left for the future generation.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 30, 2024, 10:38:19 AM

Today we will witness an important match especially for Marseille, currently de Zerbi's squad has 13 points minus 3 points to catch up with the leader of the standings, namely PSG with 16 points and the temporary runner-up Monaco with the same points, if Marseille is able to achieve positive results, of course the competition in the standings for the time being will be more interesting in week 6.
Visiting Strasbourg's headquarters, I think the target of 3 points can be achieved by de Zerbi's troops, although it is undeniable that Strasbourg is a difficult opponent, because they have only suffered 1 defeat, 1 win, and 3 draws, this shows that a draw can happen again, in this case Marseille must work harder.
Let's just see the match that will start soon
The closing match of the 6th week seems to be fierce, where both teams are ambitious to get three additional points, especially Marseille who do not want to lose the momentum of sticking to PSG and Monaco at the top of the standings. On paper, even though Strasbourg acts as the host, Marseille is slightly more favored. The appointment of De Zerbi as the new manager has really changed many things, especially their style of play. Even in the previous match, Marseille managed to win over Lyon even though one of their players received a red card. The mentality that Marseille now has looks very ready to put pressure on PSG. Although this match cannot be said to be easy for Marseille, I personally predict that Mason Greenwood and his colleagues will be able to steal 3 points. Strasbourg has only managed to win one so far, maybe the best result they could get today is 1 point. We'll see if Marseille steps will stumble, with Strasbourg managing to create a surprise.

A very brilliant performance from Strasbourg. They won with a narrow score against Marseille. I was very disappointed. They could have scored more than 1 goal. Their number 10, Emegha, was selfish in this game. They could have scored 3 goals if he weren't so selfish. He missed some great chances by trying to do it all himself.

Strasbourg's offense looked so awesome in this game; they properly built up from deep. Their player, Nanasi, showed outstanding performance. And i think it's likely Chelsea may take him  to go to the EPL if he performs at the current rate.

In the end, they showed they were a solid club. Their striker was too selfish, but they secured a vital point.

51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: September 30, 2024, 10:11:23 AM
True, the players looked down today but I don’t think they are trying to sabotage Erik Ten Hag. His future at Manchester United has been in danger for a long time now. This is Erik Ten Hag’s third season of coaching this set of players, he recruited these players himself, they were not forced on him so we can’t put the blame on the players. IMO United were going to lose the match even if they didn’t get a red card. Erik Ten Hag needs to leave if Manchester United wants to survive this season.

At some point, the management of ManU must also accept that Ten Hag is not the right candidate to lead the team back to the top places where such a traditional club actually belongs. It's a shame that ManU don't simply change their coach.

At least Chelsea seem to have managed to get back to the top, I'm happy about that. The Premier League is very exciting this year!
This is a time when you will decide to change the management and coach because the way Ten Hag is doing his job is not perfect for the team not for the fans and the same goes with higher management. Today's loss in the match is very disturbing for the fans because they expect a good game in their home ground but Man U did not put on a great show for their fans.
The saddest thing I read in the internet today is not that Manchester United lost Tottenham. It is not also about the red card and neither is it about Eric ten hang's inconsistency and poor performance. What saddened me most was to read where Eric Ten Hang said that he is not afraid or scared of being sacked because he and the management have reached an agreement that they most remain together. This shows that ETH is not scared or even remorseful of his poor performance. Even if he is convinced that he wouldn't be sacked, this is not the best time to make such a statement.

I believe Ten Hag said that to convince himself if he would not be sacked from Manchester United. It's to make sure he's not losing the trust from their fans as well.

Even if they sack him, they would be doing it without sending a notice to him. He can focus on the upcoming games against Porto and Villa. He must deliver in these two important matches. Most probably he stays much longer if his club take three points from their opponents soon.

Even if he is scared of being sacked and he can do nothing caused by its club's decision. No one is bigger than the of club itself.
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Get ready for huge financial collapse on: September 30, 2024, 06:15:37 AM
Get ready it's coming Banks not working and you can't get access to your money.
Only thing what works will be crypto or cash.
Why it's happening? Because this financial system will be not taken to new world 2025.
The new world order starts in 25 january 2025 then world will have new financial and banking system.
Banks wich has red orange or yellow colors on logo specially those will collapse.
as we go through 50% changes then it's obvious this financial system doesnt go to 2025 it will stay here also all the wars will be over by latest 25 january 2025 because 2025 is not year for wars the 2025 it's year for big collapse and deflation of falling the prices even the housing prices.
What a nonsensical thing this is! Where did you get this nonsensical conspiracy theory? You said only crypto or cash would work. But the bank can control the money through its monetary policy. And do you forget that crypto investors should use banks to deposit money to buy crypto on exchanges?

Also, it's nonsense to categorize banks at risk of collapse just by their logo. And there will be no new financial system to come. We are only improving the current financial system. It needs an improvement, not a replacement.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Controversy surrounds Hamster Kombat’s token giveaway on: September 29, 2024, 07:08:36 AM
It's happening now. Many who played this shit Hamster game got $15 or less from a year of daily tapping on their phones. Meanwhile, Hamster developers who were milking them made a fortune from their AdSense. They forced their airdrop hunters to watch their YT videos.

I can't really blame the developers for this. They were smart enough to find the momentum to create a tap-tap airdrop when the TON blockchain got hyped. But, it's people's fault for not doing their due diligence before joining this airdrop. They got slapped by the reality.

What do you say about Barcola? Isn't he such a talent?  Smiley  Honestly I wasn't finding him good enough previously. It seems like it was all due to staying in Mbappe's shadow. Now he scores like a machine!

Barcola is PSG's best player so far. He's a such a really talented player. He's very consistent, and has amazing mobility. It feels like i see young mbappe on him. He's their best asset so far. He is following what mbappe did, and i see a the next mbappe on him. Mbarcolaaaa? Yes.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am just curious, how would I go about this on: September 28, 2024, 10:53:45 AM
Bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency was not just created for investment purpose, it was actually created as a means of payment and to be honest, the adoption process isn't as fast as expected, but one thing that am very curious about and I have been thinking on how to go about it as a business man while accepting it as a means of payment is it volatility, though it might be advantageous for holders, but am not that certain for a business men.

In a situation whereby you accept it as a means of payment while sell off your goods, then when  you are out of stock, so you decide to restock your shop, so by then price of Bitcoin has dip so much that you can't buy all the goods needed in your shop, due to the fact that your money has depreciate in value because of the dip, what is the way forward in such a situation if your emergency funds can't cover up for the shortage?

When a merchant accepts bitcoin as one of their payment. They should have the best way to settle with bitcoin's fluctuation. They can avoid this by using a scalable payment system. It will process their bitcoin transactions in seconds, then convert them to fiat. This is because the price of bitcoin can fluctuate even more than cc's processing fees.

And based on your illustrations, i'd blame the merchant. They should have converted their bitcoin to fiat in a matter of seconds instead of holding it.  Cheesy

How many of you here feel this airdrop was one of the worst? As of now they got listed their token on multiple exchanges. Whereas the airdrop token were so less to determine that they used the community with the perks of getting the best out of their airdrop but they did not. I have got somewhat decent amount of token which I felt should be kept for for the next season.

Whereas some of my friends who joined later have tokens which are worth nothing. This is not what I expected as this kind of airdrop was once used in the past. I doubt my referrals will continue in the second season.

Do you think the same as I do now after listing?

Yes i do. And it's not only hamster, but i think the era for all of tap tap airdrop is almost coming to its end. They are on the major exchanges, but their prices disappoint. And i mention some tap tap tokens other than hamster below.

Catizen (I got a decent reward from this cuz i spent lots of money)

DOGs

It seems we're getting even closer to the bubble burst of the telegram airdrop. It's not even worth trying that. Wasted several months to get a few USD. We can do better with our time to earn more than that.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 28, 2024, 08:57:00 AM
A good gambling night for me as PSG just delivered over 3.5 in their match against Rennes. I think PSG will win the French title this season even though many people doubted that following the departure of Kylan Mbappe to Real Madrid.

PSG won the game against Rennes. The good thing is that they met their expected goals. That's crazy to see how great the performance of their midfielders is. And i never expected Lee Kang In would perform very well as a striker. He reminds me of Son (Totenham).

It seemed to me Mbappe is their main problem; they looked like much better without him. They have great ball circulation. They have proper finishing. They have no selfish forward who always wanted the ball to score.

This team looks very healthy without him. And it's very obvious they're going to win it this season.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2024/25 Season on: September 28, 2024, 12:39:42 AM
If their opponent didn't get a red card, I don't think Fenerbahce would have gotten that win. What I saw, Fenerbahce only played well at the start, but after that one goal, they tended to play defensively, and that actually became an opportunity for U.S Gilloise to develop their rhythm. I thought that was Mourinho's strategy because like before where Mourinho really prioritizes winning without having to play well and even if it's just 1 goal.

Mine is having a different opinion about Fenerbahce's game. The first half was very awful for me to watch. They had no control over the ball, and that almost cost them their win caused by Osayi's serious blunder. In the second half, they played better. Their opponent played openly and looked tired. It gave them a bunch of chances to score, but they almost missed it all.

The good thing was that a funny goal happened to them, and it helped them secure three points. Also, a player worth mentioning is Amrabat. He helped them win. But, when Fred was subbed off, he had no clue where to pass.

In the end, despite their up and down performance in the game, a win is a win.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: September 28, 2024, 12:20:57 AM

Rodri is going to be out for the remainder of the season due to his ACL injury. Rodri is an important piece to Pep Guardiola’s game plan. His long absence will affect the team’s performance but I don’t think it will affect Manchester City title race this season. Manchester City have the money and will buy replacement in January. I believe Pep is playing mind games with his recent comments.

That's another mind game. I don't fully trust what Pep said. It makes no sense. Just because he missed Rodri, he thinks he has already lost everything. It's very contradictory to what he said in his interview. He said he's still finding the problem caused by missing Rodri. He's also looking for a replacement when it's needed.

A lot of these TON games airdrop are actually coming through this month. It looks like CATS and HAMSTER are next in line to list. HAMSTER has already been deposited to exchange and the listing tomorrow, whereas CATS has opened withdrawal to only Bitget for now, Bybit and OKX will be unlocked in 12 hours

I'm not sure why there's lock on the other exchanges, but 12 hours isn't a long time anyway. Are you guys excited about the listing of CATS?

I'm not feeling excited about CATS. As far as I know, the ratio is that 30k CATS = $1. I'm sure this is going to be another worthless airdrop like HAMSTER. And again, it's not getting listed without Binance, and don't expect it to be mooning. We're entering the end of tap-tap token hype.

As you know, how tap tap tokens were rarely pumped after being listed, unlike notcoin. The performance of tap-tap tokens in the market is really disappointing.
