41  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Name suggestions for a Pit Bull dog on: September 16, 2012, 03:01:32 PM
Forgot to say, if choose my suggestions, should donate to pitbull rescue in name of puppy.  http://www.pbrc.net is, but I do not know if good or bad.

Too bad they do not take bitcoins.

Is boy or girl puppy?  Cute either way.

Cute name is good for pitbull.  Show you have sense of humor and since is pitbull, no need to show tough or negative name.

Pookie is all-time cute name for boy dog.  Princess or Disney name always good for girl dog.  Tinkerbell!  That is funny collar with fluffy spikes.

People names not so good for dogs.  Except Eric, always funny name.  Or can name Georgi to flatter me.  Cheesy  Is almost like Corgi.

Ah, gives idea.  Name other breed of dog.  "Poodle" or "Jack Russell".  I laugh and no one else probably laughing.  Sorry.

Mazel tov on new family member and taking care of good dog with bad reputation.  Great love in dog.

courts can't freeze BTC.  In other words, even if there are funds to chase by going to court, by the time you win them they may not be there anymore.

This is very good point and should be alone in post.  People mention "dead man switch" when talking about PirateAt40.  Dead man switch could move BTC around tumblers and deposit to brainwallet accounts while "dead man" is "man in jail".

Off topicking.  Nolo is no longer Newbie, can start topics in Legal thread?  Otherwise, forum problem of 100 page threads will happen.  Keep this for newbie posts with questions and bitcoins burning hole in pocket for Nolo?

One suggestion I make is that pendrive use xen sandbox for better isolation.

Bootable usb can still access hd, etc. of machine to leave trace, taint, virus, worm, etc.  If boot kernel does only hypervisor, lightweight xen vm can host bitcoin tasks.

Takes little bit more RAM and disk space but is safer.  Plus, can easily encrypt and hide virtual machine disk image.

a girl pic as Avatar = Nerd Catcher ;-)

Indeed.  More used than "Ponzi" is "I have business idea but I need you to code for free/small equity/ten dollars.  Business idea of ten seconds is worth more than months coding."

No different women than men. But on Internet, women are either molested or worshipped.  Man pretending woman is most effective online exploit.

Don't worry about two pro-bono attorneys fighting it out.  Only if they have to book n pro-bono hours per year for firm will they run it longer.  They will want to settle ASAP.

It is not that pro bono is bad (hah!), is that one must consider incentive.  If no retainer or contingency, want to make reasonable settlement with as little court as possible.

We should be careful that such list does not rely too much on forum names.  As mentioned about Barak Obama, it would be so easy to slightly misspell name or use other name, like "theymous" (ok, bad example) to fool people.  If there is other information, it should be part of list record.

Well, I know for me personally, if I see a name that is similar to another name that I know to be a scammer, I will probably avoid doing business with that person or at the very least be VERY cautious about dealing with that person...

I was thinking problem other way.  If there is "trusted" person (who is "no one!" Smiley) malefactor could adopt forum name similar to trusted name.  Therefore, theymos/theymous (again, I say bad example) could be easy exploit to nickname-based system.  Link and backlink to Facebook, LinkedIn (better), or other site would be better.  Better still if other site has "authority" of many links to other people.

Is like PirateAt40.  Don Shrents could not reach father without SNA.  Trust people more if parents can be called.  Not trust completely, for as rule says,"Trust no one!"

You are in which US state?  I am in California.  I have some question about patents unrelated to work and keeping them safely mine.

I took law school through L2 but switched to MS/PhD instead.  I liked rules and logic but wanted more math!  Plus, my law school was only so-so but clinic was fun experience.

You should not have that username.  BitcoinDrawerWithRoomToGrow is much appropriate!

If you have some small amount of bitcoins, such as 200, and you need to put them someplace before moving them, it is good to put them on site like MT. GOX where you can remove them when you are ready.  Otherwise, is best to control yourself.
