I traveled for about a week only to see BitShares, Stellar and Dogecoin all (significantly) surpassing (in market cap) this sadly mis-branded coin of ours. Would someone bother to kindly summarize what has happened with BTS, STR and DOGE, why such a big spike in prices?
To me it is hard to understand too. I think it was Minotaur who said that it was a Chinese pump and that most volume was over there. Really weird. |

TIA Aleix is a perfectionist and he wants to mix all the sound sources and the video to get the best result, so it will take a few days It was really fun to present and everything was perfectly organized by Aleix and the rest of the Barcelona Bitcoin Community. During the talk and immediately after that, I answered a few easy questions. Then we connected with Evan via skype and he answered a few more questions. It is great to meet new people and engage IRL with people you only talk online. All in all, it was a great experience I hope to repeat soon |

Dash has announced a push into RussiaDash, formally known as Darkcoin, has announced its push into Russia. In line with this mission, Dash has translated its website, videos, Wiki, forums and social media into Russian and has indicated that this is a prelude to an even bigger push into China. La velocidad de las transacciones podría llegar a ser también un problema serio. No hay datos públicos, pero por varios sitios he leído que algunas empresas de gran tamaño tipo Coinbase tenían una pérdida relevante por aceptar cero confirmaciones. Si el mercado sigue creciendo el problema se acrecentará porque aumenta el incentivo para que alguien realmente desarrolle software que haga viable el doble gasto para cantidades pequeñas. Yo no tengo la creatividad ni el conocimiento de algunos personajes por ahí fuera, pero puedo imaginar un monedero que intente hacer doble gasto siempre de forma automática. En la mayoría de los casos no funcionaría, pero si lo logra en el 10% ya es un problema muy serio.
Si los bloques (bitcoin) se llenan porque no se ha hecho el Fork y bitcoin sigue creciendo, no sería en el 10% de los casos, sino en el 90%. ya que las transacciones sin comisión o con comisión pequeña se quedarían pendientes hasta que hubiera un bloque con "sitio" para ellas. Un ROTO para el que acepte "0" confirmaciones! Perdón por el OT. Tambien se podria mencionar la proteccion de los holders o inversores a largo plazo mediante los masternodes, que asemejan a dash a monedas pos premiando con un % por holdear monedas. Suerte con la presentacion Fernando. .. cerveza gratis,,, pero una? o hay barra libre? Cierto, gracias por el la idea! No pensaba centrarme mucho en Dash como inversión porque creo que quien quiera invertir tiene que hacer mucho más que escucharme hablar un rato y no quiero crear falsas sensaciones de seguridad, pero sin duda es un factor importante y seguramente debería tocarlo algo. Dependiendo de cómo sean los asistentes, le puedo dedicar más o menos tiempo. Respecto a la cerveza, sólo he ido a otro meetup allí y lo que había es una nevera llena de cervezas. Se me olvido comentar tambien, que gracias a esa bolsa de darkcoins sacada los primeros dias (mas las que van generando como masternodes) mas las de otto es posible la venta privatizacion de la moneda.
que tengas muchas darkcoins compradas baratas porque te aviso otoh no va a cambiar la realidad, es como venir a vender crecimiento negativo en vez de perdidas.
dicho esto, darkcoin tiene sus buenos avances (desde mi punto de vista han ido copiando avances de bitshares a su manera claro), quizas deberias analizarlos y exponerlos en vez de negar sus cosas negativas. y empezar ahora un post con las razones por las cuales darkcoin deberia subir de precio.
Disculpas anticipadas por el ladrillo a continuación  Creo que para responder a ¿por qué Dash? primero hay que responder a ¿por qué no Bitcoin? así que voy a intentar responder a ambas. ¿Por qué no Bitcoin? Ninguno aquí duda de que BTC supone una innoción brutal. Es una genialidad, pero no es perfecta. Es imposible que lo sea porque era imposible prever cuáles iban a ser las necesidades/problemas en la fase de diseño y los cambios después son difíciles. Creo que nadie puede discutir que si Satoshi pudiera rediseñar con libertad ahora, haría cambios importantes. A pesar de ello, el efecto de red es una ventaja inmensa y BTC domina el mercado de forma indiscutible. Pero la dominacion indiscutible en otros mercados se llama monopolio y a la larga es mala porque sin competencia no hay innovación. Además, el mercado es muy complejo, no creo que ninguna solución pueda cubrirlo por completo. Yo creo que un escenario con varias cryptomonedas es el más deseable y hay un hueco para aquellos que mejoren sobre lo que hay hecho Bitcoin o cubran determinados nichos. Cuál será el reparto de mercado en cinco años es algo a lo que ninguno podemos contestar con certeza, pero yo espero que no sea como el actual, con una única alternativa representando más del 95% del market cap. ¿Por qué Dash? De entre las alternativas creo que Dash es una de las opciones más viables por varios motivos: 1- Fork de BTC, lo que permite reutilizar mucho de lo ya hecho con mínima dificultad 2- Corrige problemas reales de BTC. Los incidentes derivados de la falta de privacidad de BTC no son aún demasiado graves porque la realidad es que crypto sigue siendo un pequeño mercado irrelevante para la mayoría de las empresas y gobiernos, pero si esto cambia yo esperaría que se multipliquen. Es cierto que en el lanzamiento hubo problemas de distribución, pero en mi opinión no son tan graves. No puedo hablar con certeza porque yo descubrí Dash/Darkcoin un tiempo después, pero que yo sepa la mayoría de los que estaban entonces no están ya. Es cierto que Evan Duffield sí estaba y que seguramente tiene una cantidad muy elevada de monedas, pero para mí eso sólo garantiza que un desarrollador de nivel seguirá implicado a largo plazo. Alguien como él puede ganar mucho dinero trabjando en el sector privado, si no tiene un incentivo importante para quedarse, el riesgo de que reciba una oferta importante y abandone el proyecto es mucho más alto. Evidentemente yo no soy objetivo, le dedico mucho tiempo a Dash porque creo en el proyecto, pero creo que realmente es una de las opciones serias en el mercado. No es la única y no está exenta de defectos, pero en mi opinión es la que mejor pinta. |

There are some talks that would be interesting to attend, but I need to choose carefully what I do in the time I steal from the activities that pay my bills This has been organized very fast and it is already been difficult enough to free up time for travelling and presenting. Glad you've sorted it. For the record there are a few other useful wallets commands that hopefully you won't need but are good to know: -repairwallet -salvagewallet -zapwallettxes (fixes useless stuck and conflicted unconfirmed transactions from attempted double spends etc) And don't forget the old "delete everything except wallet.dat, open dash-qt.exe and let it sync" our blockchain is not that big, so starting fresh is still an option. |

What do forum moderation rules say about bumping important information to the context of some thread?  I'm quoting you to answer that the forum rules just says "24h", and makes no mention of - Relevance to the topic of the thread - If importance is relevant enough to temporarily override the rule - If partial quoting is considered eligible - If multi-level quoting is encompassed - If mention of the quote is considered subversion of the rule - If moderation is enacted outside the time frame, is that specific quote exempt from initial condition - If mirroring of the quote is considered eligible - If an 180º upside-down screenshot flip of the quote is considered eligible - If these doubts are considered comments to moderation, thus breaking yet another rule (they're not, just to be clear, just doubts) - Is rewording of the original quote considered subversion of the rule - In case of users continually breaking the rules, would the community quoting the rules within the 24h timeframe also be considered breaking the rules. These are very relevant questions IMO and I would like to see them clarified if possible. Another option would be a way for the op to put some kind of sticky post that would appear as first in each page of the thread... I was looking so long for darkcoin.. only now I find out it is dash coin?? You should have stick with dark.
How many merchants have you brought on with Darkcoin? Just curious, how many merchants did we get after rebranding? Not sure, but as someone who routinely contacts people outside of this forum, I can tell you that it is being much easier to get calls/emails answered as Dash. It is not only merchants (which I believe are not that important because we need people into Dash, not out!), but also companies or people who can help with other aspects. |
