News from places that are not here:

The UK Payments Council reports that 52 percent of transactions were made with notes and coins in 2014, but says it believes the figure will fall below 50 percent for 2015.

http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2015-05/21/cash-is-dead

Thanks for posting that! It fits in with my current "War on cash, Dash will take over" narrative I'm promoting on Twitter. It's only a matter of time before it happens:

And the fun continues...non regulated exchanges...http://www.coindesk.com/btc-e-us-dollar-withdrawals-could-be-delayed-two-weeks/    this is just the begining   Cheesy

*id advise , keep minimum funds  ( or zero, lol ) on  btce.

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

Gotta say that was one of the smoothest wallet upgrades I've ever performed.  Keep up the great work fellas.

(not to sure how I feel about the new color scheme yet.  glad you included the option to revert back to 'traditional')

On both options,I still have a problem with the highlighting either blanking out the tick arrow too much or the highlighting not being a strong enough contrast. But its a tiny niggle in the grand scheme of things,  all the other options work well, have you noticed mixing has got much quicker  Cool

While Core Development Declines, Gregory Maxwell and SF Devs Remain Focused
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114137/while-core-development-declines-gregory-maxwell-and-sf-devs-remain-focused

"CoinJoin, stealth addresses and other active privacy techniques could also be integrated into the core. Maxwell explained that in spite of not having CoinJoin implemented in Bitcoin, many transactions still use such services, so Bitcoin devs are working on this and they are trying to get the right fit into the Bitcoin client".

Shouldn't we invite Gregory Maxwell and SF Devs to give up attempts of improving Bitcoin and work on Dash a little bit?

Dash is second generation or third generation ?

By those definitions, second.

It's still:

a) a public blockchain
b) bitcoin compliant network (/clone)

Hybrid clone? The Masternode backbone network is all original work, and as in all good movies, the hybrid's are always genetically superior and stronger than the pure breeds, they can go out during the day time for starters  Grin

Still not working for me - https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/drkbtc     Huh   Grin
They will fix it or not?

Use the opera browser and download the plugin 'browsec', set the country of origin to America, now your cryptsy chart will display fine.
Easy to use.

I traveled for about a week only to see BitShares, Stellar and Dogecoin all (significantly) surpassing (in market cap) this sadly mis-branded coin of ours. Would someone bother to kindly summarize what has happened with BTS, STR and DOGE, why such a big spike in prices?

To me it is hard to understand too. I think it was Minotaur who said that it was a Chinese pump and that most volume was over there. Really weird.

MOST (edit) people aren't buying those coins because they are the next big coin or they have the best tech, they are being bought as speculation and in order to sell in the near-mid future and make BTC.  I don't think DOGE will ever be anything more than it is but I bought some 2 days ago and sold yesterday for profit.  I hold DRK for long term because I think it has the best tech and will be the next big coin.  I buy DOGE when I feel it is going up (FOMO big factor here) and I can sell in the very near future for profit.

It is specifically a BTC38 pump with nearly 80% of the volume since the beginning of the pump, for those three assets  STR, BTS and DOGE there was no fundamental change. Ask yourself why exclusively BTC38 as a common denominator and not other exchanges? They must be in on it.

This has nothing to do with Dash, it has preserved its price range, it is actually quite impressive the stability Dash shows,  this has happened at different stages like when when we where at the 600K satoshis range. We just need to keep working like Evan is doing.

It is hard to say what will happen, but honestly with these pumps if you are not part of it from the beginning you should stay out, if not you are the one giving liquidity for others to exit.

So FYI, if you haven't changed your password to bitcointalk and anywhere else that uses it, you should do that ASAP. I am getting unsuccessful login attempts on my cryptsy account for the first time ever from an unknown IP address. Luckily I don't reuse passwords. I guess that means the attacker was able to get my password from the bitcointalks hash, and that password had 3 complexities and was almost 30 characters long.

Most of the transactions are CNY - someone please explain how that is possible - I thought there was a big crackdown on fiat / crypto use in China?
