41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Speculation on: May 03, 2017, 03:49:14 PM
You all seem to fail to realize that for Litecoin to succeed like how Bitcoin succeeded and by that magnitude, BTC has to die.  I know that's sad to hear by some of you but there's no going around it.  Bitcoin, as long as it lives, will always be the king.

Oh true.
You can't say the market of cryptos is really big and strong...
It's growing yeah but most people will never use crypto.
It means there is no real place for 2 equally competitive cryptos like there is room enough for dozens of fiat currencies Wink

That's not a good comparison.  Fiat currencies aren't 'competing' for market share like cryptocurrencies do.  Bitcoin, Litecoin and the rest is a new asset class.  You may think they're currencies but do they really behave or are treated like one?  I'd say they're treated more like commodities.

I see what you mean...
I still think my point is valid, there is not enough room for those currencies even if they don't compete in the same way than fiat currencies because they have a completely open market.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Filing taxes and bitcoin? on: May 03, 2017, 03:39:53 PM
There will be no special treatment given to Bitcoin trades if it is not recognized in your country. Therefore, it will be considered equivalent to stock investment and your profits will be considered as capital gains. These gains will be added to your net worth in the year end and if your income will be in tax slab, you have to pay taxes, no excuses.  Cheesy
Other than above direct tax, you may need to pay additional indirect taxes as on the time of sale/purchase, no matter whether you made profit or loss.

It depends though.
I know that in France for example it's filled as "exceptionnal gains" and is taxed in a very special way.

Best is always to seek advise to your own country administration. You'll see what to do afterwards.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 03, 2017, 03:38:36 PM
We don't have to remember the passphrases/ seeds itself but we have to copy or keep it in a secured storage what we have to remember is that where it was stored on our portable drives, usb etc..sometimes we forgot where we copied some files and the tendency to delete it by anyone else who are using that storage..
So make copies on USB drives in different spots, or put it into a remote safe like your bank.

USB drives lose their data if they are not connected to a power source in short intervals (i don't remember how long though you can research it yourself) this means holding your private keys, etc on a USB disk and coming back in a year or so to it may lead to a big loss.

Completely!
On a basic USB stick it can be lost if not connected for 2 years. But some are made with a bigger battery so there is still time going by.

But nice point and it's important to be at least AWARE of that ^^

Fact:
We all know how the us got deeply involved in Syria based on some Ivanka trademark teardrops

What are you talking about?
I'm interested but it seems I'm not one of the "all" that are supposed to know that.

59 tomahawks hitting a Syrian airfield ?
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/ivanka-trump-donald-bomb-air-strikes-sir-kim-darroch-syria-chemical-attack-sarin-idlib-province-a7674951.html

Quote
Trump's 33-year-old son, Eric, told The Daily Telegraph on Monday that the strike was influenced in part by Ivanka, who he said was "heartbroken and outraged" by the chemical attack.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH xD

omg
If that's true that's completely ridiculous
I knew about the attack of USA but not that the spoiled child had anything to do with it.
I can't believe that without some valid source, that's too stupid even for the Trumps ^^
45  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar Collapsing on: May 03, 2017, 03:00:53 PM

"The rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated"

I've been hearing about the imminent collapse of the American dollar for at least fifteen years already, but the greenback is still alive and kicking somehow. Apart from that, why would the Chinese want to undermine the dollar when they would be better off if it actually strengthened? After all, the US is the largest trading partner of China, to which markets they export most of their exports, so they are interested in a weak Yuan and a strong dollar and not the other way round

Indeed but you can see on its behaviour that its getting more and more aggressive.
I think of the USA a bit like a bear trapped and who knows he's going to die. So he tries everything he can to kill the hunters, but is doomed to fail.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Filing taxes and bitcoin? on: May 03, 2017, 02:59:14 PM
In 90% of the case it's more or less the same.
You buy bitcoin, ok.
Your btc value rises, cool for you.
You sell your btc at a higher value? HERE you have to pay taxes on what you won.

There are specific rules on your country after that but in msot cases you'll pay only on what you earned.

48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: May 03, 2017, 02:50:45 PM
This is great because people who got bitcoins in their bitcoin wallet in Japan can enjoy their bitcoins now because their country already accepted bitcoin as a payment method. I hope i can go there and spend some of my bitcoins without worrying lacking of cash.

No, it's great because it makes btc attractive to people that still don't hold btc!
That's why it's a good news.
Because it oppens whole Japan as a new market for adoption.
And that's insanely good for btc community.
49  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Emmanuel macron is the next President of France. on: May 03, 2017, 02:49:40 PM
Theoretically, this does not affect the process of governance, but if the leader is subservient to his wife, he will not be able to manage the country. He can't be a leader at all. Psycho President can always predict features of his reign.

Well, let's have then a president who said goodbye to two wives in the past.
If he gets bored maybe he will divorce the us also....

I've heard Australia has some nice curves

Lol
I still hadn't receive an answer from the guys trying to explain how marrying someone 25 years older is an important fact for filling the presidential seat.
I mean the guy has lots of defaults and will make an horrible president but his wife isn't a problem.
That's one of the few things which is not the problem to be honest xD

Well, since we know love is blind maybe he is suffering also from some sort of blindness..which might get him unfit for being president.

Other than that let's be honest, I doubt there are more than 0.00001 % of users here who haven't fapped at least once on milf porn.
You goddamn right.
But 65 years old is a bit too much for me xD
That's no longer milf, it's more like granny.
And I have to admit I never fapped tog ranny porn.
50  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: May 03, 2017, 02:48:40 PM
In the United States a resident of the city of Sierra Vista (Arizona) Laura Wallace found bought bag note from Chinese prisoner.
Buy Wallace did at a local store and later found in her purse a folded letter, written in Chinese. As it turned out, the message describes the lives of the inmates Yingshan in the Chinese Guangxi.
The author complains about inhuman conditions of detention in prison and writes that he is worse than "horses, cows and pigs" in the USA.
According to him, prisoners work 14 hours a day without breaks, and all who did not complete the work for a specified time – beaten.
After this, the American told about the note media to draw public attention to this issue and to help the Chinese prisoner. I think that you need such methods to fight criminals. Nothing American wants to help him. He deserved this punishment.

Yeah but the idea here is that you're a complete moron, that's why you have such opinions ^^

Studies have simply proved that a hard punishment isn't effective.
What's effective is accompanying the criminals in understanding their actions and their reinsertion

Of course it's not what you WANT to do, you want the criminals to get really punished! Death for murderes and rapist for example.

But it has simply been proven that it was not an effective way to fight criminality.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Riding the pump on: May 03, 2017, 02:39:18 PM
In the gainers and losers coinmarketcap table, one often sees values of up to 300% gain. How do you go about detecting what coin is going to be pumped soon? Are you looking at the 24h window for that? Needless to say that I would want to join that ride and speculate a bit. Any ideas are welcome!

Other than that, I have the impression that the pump is often realized by a single person investing a bit of money. If overall volume is low, this results in a tremendous gain. I guess they hope other people would notice and jump on it too. I have no evidence of this though so would like to know if this theory holds...

In the end, also just trying to make 10K into 100K or more...

You don't. It seems nearly random to me.

Right now Litecoin is pumped hard and there is NO REASON FOR IT
Not even bad reasons or FUD or whatever
Not even an hoax
There is no reason but it's still happening.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin to 26-56 (Forecast) on: May 03, 2017, 02:38:15 PM
Ok I don't understand.
I don't have any explanations on that.

But you did well to watch that indeed, happy buys for you man ^^
53  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: May 03, 2017, 02:24:25 PM
no, unless it's stolen and not being used to improve the common world.

Which is sadly the case in a hell lot of countries...
Developped countries are in the end only slightly affected by corruption and tax problem.
When you look at third world countries THERE you see how shitty a government can become.

Balance of power is always the most important.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Mirrax's HIGH RISK altcoin investment guide for 2017 on: May 03, 2017, 02:20:07 PM
whats so special about feathercoin?

one of the oldest cryptos, always reliable, adapting new technologie when its needed. Special Algorithm designed for it ( NeoScrypt ). - Core Team since early 2013.

Reliable but a bit too steady to be honest...

What?
How can you believe it gonne move so up? Oo

This coin is litteral shit, it has 0 added value compared to btc! Why should it go up?
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: May 02, 2017, 02:25:59 PM
By the end of 2016, there were around 4200 Bitcoin-accepting merchants and storefronts in Japan, near quadrupling the total from 2015. Now, with the current progress in Bitcoin regulation made by Japanese authorities, the number of merchants accepting Bitcoin is expected to quintuple to 20000 this year. Indeed, good times for Bitcoin adoption are coming.

Ah now that's interesting.

The main trouble right now for btc is that no one is really using them because very few stores are actually accepting them ^^

If number of stores increase then the use of btc will too and that's what I call good news!

But you don't give a dam...

You just have to write it down somewhere and remember where it is!
Don't tell me it's too complicated xD

Hmm...
I'm not sure I understand...
What's the link between democrats and a bad school meal?

If I may, the bad school meal is just the consequence of privatisation of this market... Hence corruption and profits made at the expenses of the kids...

Nationalize that and you'll have great meals at low cost.
