I will choose bitcoin. In the long run, bitcoin is the best investment. XRP this month is a really crazy growth and I don't think this will last long. For a long time, XRP was only suitable for short-term investments. BTC, ETH, LTC are investment options for a long time!

BTC and ETH will last forever... while I'm not really sure about XRP in a long run... don't forget that XRP is a centralized coin... ripple is great coin but i dont like the fact that it is centralized more or less and devs each month are unlocking 1bn of ripple for their own use

I would not hold bitcoin cash, but trading it is not a bad idea. Some news make the effect on bitcoin cash and makes it pumped and dumped, this helps making profit. On the other hand I do not think holding and expecting good thing from it makes sense. Unlike Roger Ver said, we will use litecoin or monero for payment issues instead of Bitcoin Cash.
Yup, some people move to BCH from BTC for liquidity issues... In fact, there are a lot of altcoins for liquidity issue... BTC is all the way better than BCH,, but you can always wait for the right time to sell BCH.. |

The coin below 10 USD I want to buy is coindash (CDT), Monetha (MTH), Spectre.ai, SONM, and DOGE. I think the coin that I mentioned has good potential.
you should look into EDO, PKT, BLUE, and HAT .... all of them are amazing and showed a great run on price and marketcap... I got IOTA for long term, and I personally think is a sure bet for long term.
XSPEC which have the potential to explode, and even if it doesn't moon will give a good profit.
XBY which is more of a high risk that can go down the drain, but will do fantastic if they deliver what they've planned.
Try XRP or XLM for long term investment... not sure either if IOTA is good for long term investment |

The 2x fork is over and not a drop of money has come in to altcoins, the market is dead.
People are still support altcoin i do not think that altcoin is dead. The cryptocurrency enthusiast keep increasing day to day and make each market close their registration new member for while. This happen on popular exchange like Binance and Bitfinex. there are a lot of altcoins growing very fast theese days... XRP already reach 2nd in market cap, while XLM at top 10... I'm now looking at BLUE, PKT, EDO, HAT, and also XVG to invest on more ~ |

agree with what others said.. the unsustainable growth of TRX, XRP and XRB, XLM.. will make them crash hard
I'm not sure of XRP and XLM will crash... hard... Both have a very strong platform from the very beginning... Both showed us a very good climb in market cap, event XRP is above ETH for now... I think XRP and XLM will continue to rise in 2018 |

You can day trade on the exchanges if you have the time and are quick enough to buy in the dips. it is not easy to analyse the charts and predict what will happen next, it involves a bit of luck and skill and research.
Sometimes you buy, and price goes all the way down... Sometimes you sell, and price goes to the moon... But yes, you can buy and sell like forex |

if you do, trade 1 altcoin is no problem, buy and wait after price go up sell, jump to another coin, repeat ==> you rich
but
if you want to safe just diversify it into some good altcoin
trade safe but it will gain lower than hunt in 1 good altcoin

Yes, BTC transfer fee is too high, and takes too long for confirmation, while BCH has a faster confirmation rate... I think BCH had the potential to be better than BTC... But that will take a long long time for sure... Let's see what happens at the end of 2018 shall we ~ |

Ripple will raise for sure this year. More and more banks coming in. If they all start using it in full, the number of max coins will also drop, so price will go up.
I think i is very possible... 1 year is a long long time for a crypto to just double it's price... XRP already increased a lot but in crypto double is not big deal, it can be doubled in 2018 as 1 year time is quite long for a coin.

The only way in my opinion to be ahead is to be an early adopter. Just look at those investors that are still holding bags of bitcoin like the Twinklevoss twins that are a billionaire now. The edge is getting it cheap while you can.

You are right, that's why i won't invest in XRP. Ripple and Banks can manipulated its value. And they also can choose who can buy or sell it. It is not a currency for the people. It is a currency to keep the Banks up to date and to attract people to it. And also it helps them keep the funds in their Banks. They don't want people to use Bitcoin or altcoins as they don't control them.

Every one trade it to fiat to purchase gifts for X-mas and New Year. In January it will start rising again. So, if you want, it`s the best time to pusrchase some ETH or BTC right now.
