This is kind of scary. It can be a sign that MTGOX does not have the funds to release..

Why sell so much over the price? 40% is ridiculous you can probably make much more sales if you sell say 10% over price.

Bought some gpu's from him. One arrived DOA. He did all he could to help me get a replacement from the distributor, and after that failed, he took a bullet and sent me another one of his gpu's for a replacement and continued to deal with distributor. I need to stress out that he sent his wares from Austria to Croatia, which is a daunting task, and we managed to get the deal done. A solid person to deal with.

I sold at $19. Double the price before the halving, precisely what they should have sold for for the last month. So all that hoarding of coins before the halving has paid off.
Whatever the cause of the rise, i'm happy!
Fake. Fake??? I did the same thing, so am I fake too? The only difference is I bought in at $8, so I probably did a little better. Lol, fake?

Here is proof I have the cards. I don't know how to prove that they aren't stolen, but I can assure you they aren't. https://i.imgur.com/5UPvQkd.jpg----- EDIT: I'm so sorry that you don't trust me. People buy Gift Cards on here all the time, for a higher price and less in return. If you're wary that the cards are stolen because they're so cheap, what do you want me to do? Go back to selling them for 1.25 BTC? Because nobody bought them then. All I need is BTC0.22, which is less than $4 USD, and you get these Gift Cards, worth $75 USD. People buy Gift Cards all the time. Just because mine are extremely cheap, does not mean I am scamming you. I really need those BTC fast, and I am willing to give you $75 for $4 worth of BTC - that's how much I need those BitCoins. Please. It's 0.22 BTC. I desperately need the BitCoins. You get $75 in return. Did you buy all these cards yourself, if so, why?

I registered! I have no idea what activities and speakers I paid $250 for, or why they asked me about dietary restrictions, but this is the first bitcoin conference in the U.S., and I wouldn't miss it! Here's some additional info from another thread: Hi everyone, Apologies for neglecting the forum in an *official* announcement. I've started an announcement thread and I will try to answer some of the questions you've posted: Who is running it? The Bitcoin Foundation Is it just going to be panels, or will there be individual speakers, breakout rooms, etc? There will be keynote speakers and panels, and we are also encouraging attendees to self-form panels or suggest topics. Yes, the panel discussions will be similar in format to the video referenced. To make a request to be a panelist or speaker, submit your information through the conference website Panelists page: http://www.bitcoin2013.com/panelists.htmlIf I go to the website, there is only a submission form to be part of a panel discussion (worthless, imho). Where do I submit a paper or sign up to give a talk? As noted on the site, if you are interested in presenting on a different topic, you should submit a request through the Panelists page as well - please choose "Other" under "Panel Topic" when making your request. If you want to submit a paper, make a note of that in your request. BTW, the website makes no mention of conference ticket cost. We are working on getting attendee registration up and running - it should be available in the next couple of weeks, at which point we'll publish the ticket cost. You can submit your name and email on the site ( ) to be notified when attendee registration is available.
If I am cost-conscience, are there any hotels available cheaper than those with "blocks" allocated to the conference? You are welcome to look into other options, but those are the official room blocks available. The four hotels offered are closest to the convention center. Will the discussions/talks be record with quality cameras...? As an A/V technician, professionally, I handle a lot of events like this. As a Bitcoin Foundation member, I will be attending with some solid HD gear. All I would request is for a good spot in the back and a direct XLR connection to the mix for high quality sound. I'm also a Newtek Certified presenter, and can run a TriCaster 8000 if we want to do this thing live over livestream.com to the world, which can simultaneously integrate live social media streams. ...announcing that everything will be livestreamed for free could be counterproductive, as it would reduce the incentive for people to fly in and attend. We are definitely interested in recording the panels. As previously mentioned on this thread, livestreaming would reduce the number of people who would come to the event, and we see a lot of value in those in-person interactions. At this point, it's not something we're planning. If we're able to record, however, we'll definitely post the videos after the event. We are looking into costs of recording, etc. thefiniteidea, thanks for volunteering to help us - I'll be in touch to discuss further. will reliable WiFi access be available in the events room(s)? Yes, absolutely. We are working with the onsite communications team to have wifi available throughout the entire event. Let me know if I missed anything. Thanks for all your input! You had to pay 250$??

Hardware is a tough industry as I've come to learn. You don't get anywhere in hardware without burning money. The question then is if you're able to replenish it or not. I can safely say that as an open source project, I have no confidence in the bitcoin community's ability to support its large overhead for manufacturing as there just isn't a large enough market for such a device.
That said, I have come to grow fond of the principles of open source since coming to the Bitcoin community and I hope to appreciate it even moreso as I work on open source projects this year. Here's to broader minds and strokes in 2013.
Pay back your debts, then you can re-join the community..

I advise caution when using BitInstant there have been varying reports of selective scamming.
