41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain.info wallet unusable for almost 36 hours now on: February 03, 2013, 08:13:11 PM
Hey guys,

I can't even send .01 out to any address FROM the blockchain.info wallet. I'm not trying to move the entire balance.

Are you implying that the required fee to send out .01 would be greater than the entire balance of over 3.5btc?

I can send to it, but then it is stuck in there, so I don't necessarily want to try adding BTC in to transfer out
with a change address.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Blockchain.info wallet unusable for almost 36 hours now on: February 03, 2013, 12:16:27 AM
I have a balance in a blockchain.info wallet and it simply will not let me send BTC out no matter what I do.
I figured I just needed to wait it out for something to get caught up somewhere, but it's not budging
I even tried importing the wallet into a new blockchain.info wallet, and to my desktop client, no dice.

I keep getting an insufficient funds message after "Getting Unspent Outputs", it says I only have .0000005
in my account, although the balance shows 3.58 for more than 36 hours. It's completely jacked.

I sent .01 BTC to myself from the desktop client and the transaction went through but it's freaking gigantic
with tons of extra hashes.

I'm really confused about this.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The words keep changing too, like 30 seconds ago it said "LOOK HERE"
44  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: February 02, 2013, 03:31:15 AM
I keep having issues with my wallet where I can't send anything due to "Insufficient Funds".

When I try to send it says "Getting unspent outputs" and then gives me an error:

"Insufficient funds. Value Needed 0.581 BTC. Available amount 0.0000005 BTC"

It's been like this for several hours and I have had it happen several times before, what's up with this?

OP:

Hey All!

This thread is for customer issues, service announcements, ect. of BitInstant.

It's monitored by our support team, so if you have an issue, question, comment, feel free to post your order details here and someone should respond within a few hours during normal business hours (a little longer on weekends)

Thanks for all your continued business and support!

-Charlie and the team at BitInstant

Emphasis mine.

It's a wee bit inconvenient, and maybe support hours should be more obvious on the site... HOWEVER from the limited experience I had today with support, I would say it's more comforting to talk to these awesome people over someone in a 3rd world country making .05/hr.

can you please tell me whats going on with

This order has failed. We've been having some issues with ZipZap's API response today.

I'm going to forward this to tech support where they can issue a manual transfer. This will likely get processed tomorrow since it is the end of the day now. For future reference, it's best to contact support at the BitInstant website. Thank you!

I got the same answer Sad I'm super bummed

First try with BitInstant. I'm surprised considering the site says transactions are processed 24/7 but hey, stuff happens.

Anyone need magpul 30rd pmags?

What are you charging?

Going rate seems to be ~$50 on gunbroker so 2.5 BTC shipped, priority mail with delivery confirmation #.

I'm thinking I'd just like to sell 2 of them at the moment and see how that goes. PM me if interested.

WTH?

And as far as you knew, there should only be ONE transaction, which would be the incoming .22btc?
50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My BitCoins keep moving. Will I get them back? on: January 26, 2013, 04:28:04 AM
I'm pretty new but that doesn't seem normal...

Once you have received them to your wallet they should stay there unless transferred back out manually, right?

A little late to the game but I'm officially hooked!

I first heard of bitcoin by my brother who narrowly missed making a gargantuan profit while waiting for funds to transfer into his mtgox account. I have been interested in it since, but didn't really pay enough attention until recently.

As a developer and entrepreneur I may have BTC related projects in the future, as of now just looking forward to ASIC and since GPU mining seems on its way out (not to mention incredibly slow these days), I plan on transferring some of my physical property into BTC by selling.

I've been lurking for awhile now but I feel it's past time to get some things rolling and finally signed up on the forum.

Glad to be here!

I'd say when ample time has passed with ASICs being a no-show. At this point I wouldn't feel comfortable investing in a new GPU rig solely for mining BTC. I prefer FPGA anyway due to the reduced size and power requirements.

They ship from China via EMS. Check out the Custom Mining Hardware forum to get an idea of how these types of businesses usually operate in terms of answering your requests  Grin
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: it mining worth it these days? on: January 25, 2013, 11:24:49 PM
There are a few reasons I wouldn't be so quick to say ASICs will never happen.

1. It seems like most of the companies offering ASICs NOW, previously produced and sold FPGA clusters and are no longer doing so. I suppose it would be more profitable in the short term to sell something that doesn't exist vs the profit of selling something that does, but still it just doesn't make sense to me.

2. There's no reason ASIC's could not be made for this purpose. More or less, if you can do it with an FPGA, it can be done with an ASIC. That's not to say that the companies trying to sell them now have without a doubt actually manufactured, or even developed any, but it can be done.

None Smiley

Honestly this.

If you are a hardcore gamer then buy the best AMD GPU for gaming and consider anything you get from mining as a gift.   Buying GPU for mining today is a good way to take a pile of cash and light it on fire.  You have absolutely no hope of breaking even much less showing a profit.

Yeah, to give you an idea, I mined .061 BTC in 3 days with 2 computers LOL. It was just for fun, and it WAS FUN, but I'm not planning on mining any more without ASIC or at least some extremely cheap FPGA's.
I don't pay for electricity at my office so I'm not really losing anything, but I don't like burning out my GPU's for no reason.

Probably just sell stuff for BTC for awhile.
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why should one deposit on bitcoinpyramid on: January 25, 2013, 11:06:44 PM
I would stay far away from bitcoinpyramid. It is, as the name suggests, a pyramid scheme. In the US at least, those are illegal, unless you're the government (*cough*social security*cough*). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme for more details.

this LOL. The title alone man...
57  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Businesses and Developers, Let's Get Started! on: January 25, 2013, 11:02:36 PM
I'm a developer. I don't really have any PLANS for BTC oriented projects at the moment, but the possibility is always there.
58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet on: January 25, 2013, 10:59:53 PM
This is pretty interesting but alot of hoops to jump through for some people.

I think there are probably some clever ways for service providers to step in and offer some alternatives, but of course there will always have to be some degree of trust there.
