41  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: May 16, 2014, 12:44:17 PM
Maybe the problem of contracts exchange can be implemented with a coloredcoin??

https://www.coinprism.com/

Regards

So I checked out coinprism.com to see what it could do.  I was able to create 150,000 colored coins.  I then sent some of them to another address I control.  And...that was it.  There is no way to manage things as the asset manager.  I can't see what addresses are associated with which colored coins, I can't mass send BTC per colored coin and there is no way to set up any type of public trading.  So no divs and no exchange.  They're suppose to come out with an API that might help, but I'm skeptic.

Bear in mind, exchange of any type = publicly traded, and LRM don't want that.

How public is public though?  This forum is public and shares/bonds/contracts are trading here already.

Edit:  LR has also indicated someone was working on an exchange at some point, so he's not totally against the idea.

So it sounds like we're only getting an exchange if we set it up ourselves.  I'm thinking colored coins is probably the best way to go about it.  Thoughts?

I'm officially out of this mess.  I have requested that LRM burn my shares and no longer pay anything to my wallets.  Thank god I tested the waters (put a small amount in to be able to watch) before putting the rest of hardware budget into it.

Those who lost larger amounts have my sympathy.  Feel free to contact me if you need help with anymore of this.  I got away with minimal loss and after consideration realize, it's just not worth the time.

These shares are worthless to me. G' luck peeps. . .peace out.  Not worth my time.

I'm baffled why you wouldn't just sell them?

Zach claims he wants to show those that won't listen how its going to be. What condition exists that prevents him from holding on to the dividends of those that are not yet prepared to accept the new contracts based on faith? I can't think of any reason. Can you? It's not as if faith is a common way of doing business anyway. Logic tells me that if he really wanted to show us how it's going to be in good faith he wouldn't steal our dividends. He would simply demonstrate his point and go on to allow others to convert to the new contract WITHOUT stealing their dividends. How do you explain this?

I'm getting into deep water here...  What follows is my opinion, based on what Lab_Rat has posted, and having seen at least one episode of "Law & Order". (ie:  I'm not a lawyer, and may well be way off base, and this is in no way an "Official LRM Response".)

Lab_Rat has posted in general terms that the issue was due to problems with bonds being "proportional", and that in order to avoid issues, they needed to represent a fixed hash rate.  The solution to this problem is embodied in the new contract -- essentially a fixed hash rate, but with the option for LRM to issue at it's sole discretion "bonus hashrate".  Speculation on my part:  It may well be that if Lab_Rat makes any promises or representations about what this bonus is, or how it relates to hardware, or anything else then suddenly the contracts are (potentially) proportional again.  It's quite possible his lawyer has told him to say nothing about the bonus, period, for this reason.  End wild speculation.

And as a contract holder, you have to be in one camp or the other, not half-way between the two.

ITs only common sense to put everything on the table..

1. What is the total hashrate?
2. What is the estimated future hashrate?
3. What will this bonus be?
4. BE TRANSPARENT!

I don't mind signing a new deal if the deal makes sense.

I have emailed you and you know my answer: no to the unilateral 3:1 conversion and no to the most recent proposal. I get that things need to change to stay on side of the regs but without full disclosure and a trust less process we are done.
Lab_Rat - I really hope you step up and say something well before your May 10 deadline.

Personally, I need to see two things before I can even consider agreeing to new terms (and by "new" I mean anything other than the generally accepted position prior to your purported unilateral change on 8 March).

First is an undertaking by LRM to provide, on a weekly basis, basic information regarding total hashrate, estimated future hashrate based on incoming hardware, mining proceeds, costs and any amounts set aside for reinvestment.  See any of the weekly updates by peta-mine as an example of how things ought to be done - short, concise and reassuring.  This is basic information that should not be difficult to provide.

Second is some additional information regarding the bonus itself.  I understand what you are trying to do (whether I think it is stictly necessary, legally, is another matter).  I could, possibly, get comfortable with the concept of a discretionary bonus if you at least set out what the bonus, if paid, would be based on.  Even if you say, "LRM intends to pay, on a weekly basis, a bonus based on mining proceeds less costs and reinvestment, but investors should be aware that any such bonus is discretionary and the payment of a bonus one week is neither representative nor a guarantee of a bonus to be paid the following week" - this achieves exactly the same thing (ie discretionary bonus) but it is couched in slightly friendlier terms; it presents evidence of good faith and best intentions on your part.  Probably not enough to rescue the share price, which is ruined, but combined with the undertaking above it would, I believe, make the decision slightly easier/less stressful for some.

Completely agree with this, if it had been worded like that then I don't think almost anyone would hv kicked up much of a fuss.

This seems reasonable.  Has someone emailed LR yet about this?

Isn't a bit of a conflict of interest if grnbrg can undercut our bids (slightly) by using his own time instead charging the fee?  I'm not up in arms about it or anything, just an observation.

The contract is complete and I have the go ahead to release the doc, but there is one question still un-answered to my lawyer that I'm waiting on before finishing the announcement that will go out with it giving a brief overview.

This will likely be answered Monday with it (now) being Easter.  Either way the AMA is Fri. and any questions you may have will be answered as complete and specific as is possible.

*** PS Should I start a separate thread for the AMA or should it just be added into this thread? ***
