41  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO ideas (SETHER) on: January 20, 2018, 05:16:17 PM
Looks interesting alright. I have not checked it out yet, but once it hits the exchanges I might get some. Unfortunely, there will not be an ICO, is that correct? They have already received their funds. So the only thing one can do is to wait for it to hit the exchanges in March. So certainly interesting to keep in mind .. thanks for your reminder!

42  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start a bitcoin exchange on: January 20, 2018, 05:10:28 PM
Certainly interesting to know, but how come you are asking yourself that question. What is your background? Have you got any experience in that field? Are you aware of the safety features an exchange would need for it to work properly and not be run over by a smart hacker? Seems like you just ask this  .. as it just popped up in your mind.

Hello,
I'm interested in starting a bitcoin exchange and I need help.
What is cost involved in starting a exchange.
Which is better to buy a withe label exchange or to develop my own.
If a white label please refer me some.
43  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Impatience kills projects on: January 20, 2018, 05:01:48 PM
In so many threads I see a huge impatience. That kills projects.

When a coin doesn`t goes up 100% in 1 week then it is "scam", and if it declines 100%, too.  Cheesy
What do you think how long does it take to establish a project in a market? 6 weeks? Very often I have this feeling that many in our community think like that.

And 100% up and down is nothing in the coin market, have a look at pennystocks, there it is the same thing. And if you watch stocks in dow jones 1 $ up and down ist nothing, because the market is much bigger.

I certainly have killed plenty of great opportunities as I was too impatient. Plenty of projects/Coins that I have held but turned my back to after a while, turned out to be massive successes .. well not for those who have not stayed on board. But that is also life is. You get chances, you might not use every one, but as long as you still receive chances it is not that bad.

44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO Prices Too High on: January 20, 2018, 04:58:29 PM
You are very right. These high ICO prices could result in a massive selloff one day. A burst of a bubble where people realisie there is no value behind some of the projects .. just look at the price of BCC. Ok, that was a Scam in the first place .. but it is a great example of how a people can react when they realise they have invested in a worthless thing.
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to hold a cryptocoin/altcoins to earn good profits? on: January 20, 2018, 04:55:50 PM
That is a question, which cannot be answered. Some
rockets launch straight after the ICO, other very belated and others will keep performing into the opposite direction until they are worthless.
Just look up the performances of coins by using charts, scroll back to their beginning (their first listings on exchanges) to where they stand now ..
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it time to buy some BTC? on: January 20, 2018, 04:52:39 PM
If you love risks and are willing to get into a wild ride .. than go for it, but I personally believe better times to buy could be coming up. But yes, dips were in the past always great opportunities to buy. Would you consider yourself as risk loving or risk averse? You should certainly consider your financial situation before doing so.
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: January 20, 2018, 04:50:06 PM
Maged once again I have looked up what you have put together here and read through it. Just wanted to say thank you for this highly informative text, which nowadays will play a rising role and of course also in the way clients will evaluate exchanges and their offerings and how they deal with their personal data.
48  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dip over? on: January 20, 2018, 04:44:38 PM
Hard to say. But I would not be to surprised .. if soon there is more downside pressure to come. The risk aversion of speculators could set in, which will take them out of risky position while the market is soo heated up, and let them choose safety instead. But personally I would like to see a rise setting in, a steady one .. over just a quick and dirty "rise to the moon" spike, as such moves can always result in massive sell-offs.
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: January 20, 2018, 04:41:04 PM
There are many people who lost their money on trading, because trading is unpredictable job, in my opinion i need:
Method ( i must have system trading)
Money ( i must have management of money and risk)
Mind ( i must can control my emotion)
Tell me your opinions?

You will need more than that I guess. It takes

- a very high stake to begin with
- time
- a low frustration level in order to deal with looses
- the right exchange
- a good timing
- informations - you will need to stay up to date
- a good risk management - without this the best strategy is worthless (if you for example simply risk to much)
- patience
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the risk of holding Bitcoin? on: January 20, 2018, 04:36:48 PM
As I said in the title. I was interested in putting my money into Bitcoin because of the ever-increasing price.
But I want to know what the biggest risk is to hold Bitcoin?

My view is the following. You risk all what you put into BTC. It all should be certainly risk capital what you invest, you should be able to afford to loose that money. BTC might fall to dust if other coins are taking its place, while I am very bullish on BTC I still do not consider it as a "safe bet" - the risk with any coin is very high.

51  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to find good cryptos? on: January 20, 2018, 04:33:52 PM
Hi,

there are so many cryptos and I find it hard to identify the ones where I should have a closer look.
Obviously one can find cryptos e.g. by listening to shilling on Reddit. But I'm looking for more professional sources like YouTube channels, free/ paid Telegram/Discord groups and so on. What do you use?

I personally like to study the trading volume on coinmarketcap it is a great indicator of peoples interest in any coin. Huge rises and constantly high volumes can be good sign for a coin which receives a broader attention by investors, traders, users etc.

52  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: January 20, 2018, 04:30:55 PM
Nothing is consistent or predictable in the world of trading, and every institution that engages in trading knows this.  You want something like a stock dividend I think.  There's no way you can get a consistent return by investing in anything crypto-related.  Don't believe these fucking retards on this forum who promise you these sorts of things.  They're all scams (e.g., the entire securities section here).  What you might want to do is actually buy some stocks that pay dividends.  It's the only way I know of that you can get a predictable income.  Or bonds.

This advice by The Pharmacist is one you should certainly keep in mind!
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: January 20, 2018, 04:29:13 PM

I want to generate a constant monthly gain. Is it possible to do this by bitcoin trading? So, can I just do this by dealing with BTC trading?
Are there any people among us who can make a living by trading in BTC?

If you are a newbie the chance that you will "survive" with any strategy that you will come up in the beginning is highly unlikely.

How much are you planning on starting with? What do need for living? How big has the return to be in order for you the meet the requirement?
54  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss in trading on: January 20, 2018, 04:26:56 PM
I am a newbie, I just want to ask how exactly are you losing your money in trading? Can anybody explain how you lose your money in trading? Correct me if I'm wrong I just think that when you buy high but you sell it in low price I think you lose, right? What if you you buy it at a higher price then the price falls on the next days or week will you loss something? What if you'll just hold for it and wait for the price to bounce back? Thanks for your opinions! ☺️

Just look at the charts and flick through the coins? If you enter in a bullish trending market and the price dynamic changes, which can happen suddenly, you can easily loose money. In many cases holding on to your losing position could intensify your harm. You might be lucky and the price rise sets in again and you will see your position in the greens back again, but you might also be not so lucky and do not experience this moment again .. and you see you investment falling further and further ..
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: January 20, 2018, 04:21:54 PM
Nobody wants to be monitoring the prices all day with the cursor on the sell button just waiting to click the mouse, so how do you decide when to sell?

If you set up an open order with a low target price, you'll be disappointed when the price climbs well above your target price.
If you set up an open order with too high a price, you might not sell at all.

What's your strategy?

A very good question and therefore a thread, which I will continue to follow! Just looking at how coins like Next, Ripple, Stellar have performed lately, my hodl has not been the best strategy, so it is interesting to read about how others are making the decision if they should continue holding or sell and lock in the profits.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: January 20, 2018, 04:17:58 PM
I often hear people saying that they found a dice method to constantly win, but that's simply impossible. It may work out for them at start as the luck is with them. Gambling should in no shape or form be seen as something that is close to whatever investment or doing trading. It doesn't always work for people as some of them don't learn anything

True words.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: January 20, 2018, 04:17:05 PM
So guys, after 2 years of trading i am going to stop. (unless i have full time to trade, which i currently don't)

I have calculated all my trades on the various platforms i have used in the last couple years.

Deposited: 47BTC (roughly)

Withdrew: 40BTC (roughly)

Overall i am happy with the results, i would pay 7 BTC anyday for what i have learned so far.

Now the question is: what the fuck do i do now with my money.

How about switching from trading to investing. Picking out a few gems and hold on to them? Pick out a few promising ICOs and hold onto the coins?
Just try to look at what you would have made if you did not trade in the last 2 years .. and instead would had if you had invested?

Or is the reason of your high deposit, that you have made all these BTC by investing in the first place? Anyway, you are sitting on a nice stake, choose wisely and do not let anyone flirt you into any sort of scam.

58  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Profit to Fiat on: January 20, 2018, 04:11:23 PM
Hard to say these days. I personally stick to cryptos in regards to this matter instead of cashing out, but the recent pullback of basically all coins clearly shows if people would had cashed a few weeks ago .. before the meltdown .. they would had made a better decision, but that is easy to say afterwards.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for local transactions on: January 20, 2018, 04:07:44 PM
I have never transacted locally .. all over exchanges so far. As I heard of too many faults, thefts and scams in regards to persons who offered to exchange locally, so that kept me away from doing so. But the idea is great .. and if it works out even better, but yeah I guess I am too risk averse in this matter.

60  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Trade - Which is Better? on: January 20, 2018, 04:04:04 PM
Having seen the massive rise of cryptocurrency prices in the previous year, I have seen that if one gets a coin at the right time and holds it before the prices pumps up, there would be huge gains. But then, the frequent bearish attitudes of the markets also affords one some gains.
Among these two strategies, which is better and which d you recommend?

You shouldn't 100% hold or 100% trade your portfolio. The best way to manage your portfolio is to diversify using pyramid scheme. Most of your portfolio, say like 40%, must be hold in a stable coin, like BTC or ETH. Moving up, 20% of your portfolio is for long term altcoin hold/trade. And the top of the pyramid should be for trading shitcoin, expecting 10x or 100x Cheesy There's a lot of way to do this, but in general that's how it should work.

Never thought someone would recommend trading shitcoins?! So you do put money into those? For short term trades or how do you go about? But surely, to diversify a portfolio is very valueable ..  with a base of good solid ones.
