Try to oil the fan if that didn't work you should replace it.
u know if "fan 3" is back or front fan?
43  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer S9 one of the fan started running slow on: January 22, 2017, 05:43:06 PM
Have you plugged them in the right way around? Im guessing when you cleaned them you have plugged the fans back in different connectors on the controlboard
yeah they are connected in the right place. im still getting 1440/1800 rpm on "fan 3" thats front fan right?

You sould periodically clean your miners as dust builds up and coats the heatsinks and fns as youve found out. Switch it off and clean everything and see how you get on.
i did it.. but one of the fan is still slow.. its stuck on 1800rpm and wont increase

so buy a replacement fan

this one is okay

this is good

I had a case of these, but all gone

but its weird that front fan was running slow now is the back one that is running slow and the front one is now running at normal speed..

so its a normal behaviour for a diying fan ?
it goes from 1680 to 3700 rpm.. it was working at like 4500 without droping..

EDIT: after cleaning it it works now.. but now the other one is slower.. wtf

48  Bitcoin / Mining support / can i legal issue bitmain in china? on: January 18, 2017, 04:37:09 PM
well i have a big problem with this shitty company

i bought some s9 in november.. and one of them came with the controller board faulty.. i sent it back for warranty 1 month and a week later it arrived

after it arrived 9 hours later a hash board broke (dont know why i have more s9 working just fine), i contacted then back and sent the hashboard again

now after 2 weeks they reply that i have to send the whole machine back because i purchase it after 1 octuber

now what makes me angry?

the customer support told me to ONLY send the hash board i have this on mail.. i already lost 2 month of work with that antminer increasing the time ill go ROI.. they sent me a 12.93ths antminer and i bought 2 13ths that time.. the other one is hashing at 13.2 and this one that 9 hors that worked was working at 12.3

now my real problem is i dont have anymore money to pay shipment since where im from its realy realy expensive like 200$ i already paid like 300$ in the control board and hashboard.. now with the shole machine it should be like 200 or 250$

can anyone here give advice of what should i do ?

i want to take legal action against them but i just want to fix my damn antminer and keep working..

here is the mail from BARBARA

reconnect the wire.. and stop cutting random wires.
It will drive the fan, but then cuts off the sensing to said fan so it's unsure of the fans rpm, thinks it's off, and shuts down the miner

i tried reconecting the cable already but still not working..
here is what it does when i connect it http://youtu.be/RyfUlgTclVg

(my other S9 is working just perfect after cutting the cables)

btw the miner is shutting off, it just stay ON..

hi, i just got my antminers S9 but they are working at temps over 100, but all my S7 are working under 50 temp, i have good cooling, (with s9 i can not edit the fan speed and its realy quiet it might be the problem) is there a way to activate this setting ?

Have you tried resetting them?? Not sure how on an S9 but im sure it will be in the manual somewhere.
Looks like you have autotune s9's
What version of firmware are you running? What is the speed on the label? The new 11-29 firmware should work well for you with cooler temps.
No fan setting on the new autotunes, it figures out what the speed should be.
where can i see the firmware version? and what speed and label are u talking about?
52  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 fan speed realy low on: November 29, 2016, 09:44:06 PM
I read a little while ago that awesome miner had trouble with S9 miners as the S7 runs cgminer and the S9 runs BMminer and awesmemminer software had trouble loading the correct values.
yeah they already updated it for S9
53  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 fan speed realy low on: November 29, 2016, 09:25:43 PM
Have you read the S9 thread. The S7 reports board temps and the S9 reports board and chip temps. Are you sure you are reading the same temps on each type of machine?

yes i have a program named awesomeminer, where i have temps of all miners in one GUI
54  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 fan speed realy low on: November 29, 2016, 07:35:55 PM
This has been beat to death, no real solutions thus far aside from bypassing and direct wiring the fans control.
Which leaves it blaring 24/7
hi is there a guide to do this?
55  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 fan speed realy low on: November 29, 2016, 05:43:28 PM
Firstly I see you have posted this question already in the CORRECT thread for the S9 already. Please wait for a response in there. You will need to provide more information, batch number, firmware version, even if the fans are original (any markings).
i just upgrade the firmware, its the lastest batch 13 TH, original fan everythig is brand new.

sorry about double post.. the other one have so many post maybe mine will be unoticiable.
