Last 500 Blocks: 22.3wks (5.5 months ) 97.03% PPS
may be it's S9's effect ?

we need 2.2 block per day to earn like f2pool
that mean 66 block per month

Is a burned board repairable or basically junk?

It depends what has been burned.

Give us a picture.

One board is burnt under the heat sinks which I have not yet removed and also burned on the front end. A second board has light burn marks on the front end as well.

Hard to see in these pictures

don't send it, it's junk

1. It is unwise for bitmain to roll out upgrades every day without proper testing and a description writeup.
2. If someone can organize a proper repository, people were volunteering to upload prior updates.
3. From my experience, socket error message should disappear in 5-7 min, but it you did some frantic actions, then it might not.
two things: first just try a soft reboot in the system pane. If that did not work, try a hard reboot via PSU on/off switch. Keep it off for 15-20 sec.
If that did not work, but miner is online, remove the copy of software that you were trying to upload from PC, then download it again. Once download is done, upload it to miner and let it do it's stuff for 10-15 min, then see if you got mhz choice pane (550, 600, 650). Choose, click on set, wait another 10 min, click on mining pane. If no mining, soft reboot in system (wait 7-10 min) and if not, again hard reboot and wait 7-10 min.

If all of the above did not work, miner is in trouble.

just return to old firmware ( 23Jul) and you will see your miner lost one board because of that autotune firmware
remove the cable from damaged board and autotune firmware will return to work

today my first S9 that i ordered in 13 Jul stop working on the latest firmware (19th Nov)
i flashed this firmware again without success so i installed old one (Antminer-S9-201607131442-12.92T-600M-security.tar)
i found 2 boards only work and i lost one board
when i checked my machine to see which one i lost i found it's the same board that i lost it from 2 months and they replaced it to my under Warranty
this board sent to me on 7th Sep
is it still under Warranty ( my machine is not )

19th nov firmware is the best one
stable fan speed and low temp
55  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 15, 2016, 09:33:44 PM
they start to use S9 on hashnest ( PACMiC v5 )
is that mean its more reliable now ?
56  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 09, 2016, 11:46:45 PM
different between 3 versions

57  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 09, 2016, 11:36:39 PM
should i return to old firmware or what ?
they told me don't worry it's fine
Different freq boards means it is autotune.
New stuff.
New firmware, new hardware controller.
I don't think the autotune s9 will work with old firmware, (pre autotune) but I have not tried it.

this version Antminer-S9-all-201611020159-autofreq-user.tar doesn't have this issue
1102 seems to run too hot. There is an 1108 version.

i returned to Antminer-S9-all-201610260255-autofreq-user.tar
best one

Looks like it's by no means stable. Thermal cycling is hard on the works.
agreed. Looks like around a 20C swing for them. Mechanically that is not good for the chips and more specifically their solder bonds to the boards.

I just looked at my s9's and even the B17 and my latest a B18 (both never upgraded, has the auto-tune) is holding temps to about a 8-10C swing. I do see that the pre-auto tune ones with manual fan control have less variance, seems to be around 5-7C with my fans set to 85%.

In your screen shot I take it the gray-dotted trace and a couple others (~10C swing or less) are non-autotune miners?

all miners have the same firmware but this one is there new one that boards haven't same freq
