You could change the pool if you are unhappy. Why make demands in such language for a free service?
why is it so hard to make payouts work correctly?
Why are you defending them? Don't you like being paid regularly?
You see they don't answer, why is this?
They were quick to answer me on their bullshit quote supposedly from a song.

We are having issues implementing the auto feature correctly and as timely as hoped for. There is ongoing discussion on this topic on our support website.
Posters with civil questions will be answered as quickly as possible. Swearing and aggressive posts less likely.
Really? looking through months of support tickets show this is a continuing problem.
So posting to your site does little for actually fixing the problem.
Once a month it appears your site breaks on paying people timely. Going back months on end.

But over on the slush thread, you were bigging up ghash and slagging off miners for "being ripped off" on slush. Make your mind up or you will look like a bit of a tit...

Looking at purchasing a couple of S3s.  Were there any coupons for people who bought S2?  Just curious.  Thanks in advance.

No coupons yet - batch 4
44  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 04, 2014, 07:24:56 PM
Again.

4 x batch 4 S3s arrived today.

15 minutes later all 4 are up and running out of the box with no problems.

You've got to give it to bitmain...
45  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: August 03, 2014, 06:00:27 PM
Slush is probably mining them and keeping them for himself as well as charging the pool fee.

Proof? Sounds like bullshit and slander to me.
idgaf

Well if you're a typical GHash.IO miner, you're not doing a very good job representing the pool.

seriously? You are being ripped off and you sit here and defend losing money.
and you seriously got the stupidity to say shit about ghash?
Keep giving your money to slush. losers.
regardless if there is merged mining or not you still are being ripped off
because paying a pool fee is better than not paying one or getting extra coins.
ghash are crooks too but they pay better and I don't represent any pool douchebag

Just um quoting for posterity. Not often I come across posts so completely lacking in useful content, so I want to keep a record.

Well that's just great organof, now I have to read his post to see if there was any useful content...

[edit 5 seconds later] yeah OK...

Dunno, can we trust you?

If he said yes - would you - treat bitcoin like cash

[edit] I probably would with a small amount btw

I've found that the pair I have run best at 212.5 freq, --queue=1, hashing reliably for 2 days at 428. I'm fairly bummed that it won't reliably do more and won't be buying anymore until they fix the issues with the DC/DC converters.

Hi, I mostly missed the queue discussion, but the gist is that instead of
Code:
sed -i 's/--queue 4096"/--queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1"/g' /etc/init.d/cgminer
I can/should use
Code:
sed -i 's/--queue 4096"/--queue 1 /etc/init.d/cgminer

Correct? Thanks.

Hmm those double quotes " don't look right in that sed command - paste the contents of /etc/init.d/cgminer...

AntMiner Jumper Switch- Bitcoin Miner Accessory

Global Sales start on July 31, will close on August  6th. Shipping starts on August 27th.

PC Power Supply has been widely used to power Bitcoin Miners, but users have to use the paper clip or other metal line to short blue line and black line of the PSU 24 pin interface before powering Bitcoin Miners. It is troublesome thing to short lines, and may lead to unstable power supply.

Here we are glad to introduce a new Bitcoin Miner Accessory - AntMiner Jumper Switch, which is to provide a convenient and effective method to start PSU. Only need to connect it to the PSU 24 pin interface, then press the “Switch”.

Only Available at http://www.bitmaintech.com

Very nice and simple design.why a minimum of 500 to be bought though?

Yeah - a "20 or 50 pack" would be good...

A quick question to Slush's.  I am thinking of giving up mining against your pool.  Nothing personal, just with only 2Ghz, it's never really going to be worth the hassle.  I have 0.00308557 BTC reward in my account.  Any way I can get it out?  I would like to have something to show for my time and effort.

Thanks.

Shaun

.003 isn't really worth a lot so don't expect a reply. The best you could do is to give your account to someone to mine it up to .02 so it can be withdrawn, then hope they send you the .003.

.01 is the min payout - but you might get some luck from slush by raising a ticket on his facebook page. It's unlikely he will respond here.

Get in the translation, if you Google translator does not work. But I shall explain, Google can not convey all intonations and eloquence Russian language. Grin

It is 100% agreement! Someone disconnects from the network pool at certain times. Otherwise I can not give an explanation of what is happening. Why do we catch blocks 9 and fucking hang. Then again, a couple and hang. Then again 9 and hang. Now forgot to include the pool to the network? That is why we are in such an ass? AU! Wake up! Enough to scoff at his men, who with you!!!!!!!

Hmm, I liked AFlatMinor's translation better:

"Fucking Long Round been drinking lots of Vodka to try and calm down"  Grin
60  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: July 28, 2014, 09:46:40 PM
I have a question as a newbie to this entire crypto coin thing...  Are these long periods due to the pool not finding a block or that the pool doesn't have enough processing power to decipher the block?

Think of it like this, 5 people (5 miners in the pool - slush) are standing in a room and are being asked to guess a number between 1 and 10000.
They shout their guesses out as fast as they can.
They are trying to guess the same number faster than the 50 people in the room next door (50 miners in ghashio).

With 50 people compared to 5, it's most likely that the larger pool will guess more numbers.

On a lucky day however, slush with it's dedicated army of 5 - will punch way above it's station (and historically always has).

On unlucky days the 50 people next door are having all the fun and us paltry 5 people seem to have no chance.

TL;DR version for the impatient
So to answer you question, the reason we have these longs rounds is due partly to bad luck and partly to the fact that there are much bigger pools than us. I still mine here, always have liked the underdog.

Well said.

Thanks, my son (and other non-bitcoin people) understood it this way way. Opens up loads more questions:
  • What happens if one guy shouts answers really fast - better hash rate
  • What happens if slush and ghash recruit extra people so they guess the numbers faster - difficulty increases and you now have to guess a number between 1 to 15000

etc
