41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Mysteries on: September 11, 2018, 10:23:56 AM
What are some of the mysteries you are curious about?

For example,
Who are the whales
How is the market manipulated
And so on

Can be any story about your experience related to crypto markets
From the over all sentiment to the big idealist/realist goals we are headed from and to

My curiosity is how the whales are playing between each other and how analysts see these behaviour and how they find it
I'm curious about the first whale, the biggest one, that whale who can destroy any market in 1 day, and haven't moved his coins yet. Yes... i'm talking about Satoshi Nakamoto. That man still holding his 980,000 Bitcoins, most of people think he will not move them, but if he do it, will be crazy for the markets. And that's one of the biggest mysteries with whales and markets.
I'm wondering, how do you know that 980,000 bitcoin is own by Satoshi Nakamoto, is there a signed message that he signed? We all know that there's a lot of fake Nakamoto and claiming that his the real one.

I'm curious about this.
https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/what-is-that-mysterious-about-the-bitcoin-block-hash-21e800/amp

Still nobody is certain and all are puzzled.
This is indeed interesting. Although the article follows though many different scenarios, we can assume it was a random event once a blue moon. For quantum computer to exist, it would shift many of the world problems, not only bitcoins.

"The quantum computing breaking bitcoin is as dumb-ass as the grid going out breaking bitcoin. If the grid goes out and we lose bitcoin , losing bitcoin would be least of our concerns. If we ever hit a point where quantum computers can break a 160 bit SHA256 hash , that will also mean we hit a point in science where all of DNA has been reverse enegineered , ie the end of all disease , cancer , we will live to 1000 years old and possibly even can fold space for intestellar travel. If ever we hit that point , cracking SHA_256 will seem insignificant. Besides , won't happen anyway but it's one argument for the ignorant troll army to roll out as their best argument against bitcoin."
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three things you should not do when Bitcoin prices drop! on: September 10, 2018, 11:43:35 AM
Actually, imo taking profit is the best tactic (better be safe then sure), and nothing to blame there; why always want more? Just want less and be grateful.
The prices are not controlled by people not selling, but by over all volume... because this show the implication of people, and how many are involved in it.
Day trading or swing trading, imo (i am not an expert) is all about entering at proper time, enough to build a base (ur on 3% gain for example), use that for next entry, either take the profit, or just add more to the investment (take new position), and so on.

I noticed i am way more confident if i even have a small profit since last trade. This is how confidence is BUILD ON, victories, LOTS of small victories.

Especially that recent wash trade thingy that happened on bitfinex. These tactics are not available to whales on stock markets, but on bitcoin markets.
Of course, in both cases stop loss and riding the wave is essential and a common tactic for retail investors.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [🔥ANN🔥] GOCHAIN - ETH-based smart contract blockchain: fast, secure, green on: September 06, 2018, 05:13:45 PM
this coin is a GEM
Yeah, afaik this blockchain has nice support for ETH, so they can transfer much of the coding from eth to Gochain... also its energy efficient.
They promised 1 million transactions per seconds if i reckon.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just got a little extra money and want to invest in crypto, should I? on: September 06, 2018, 05:09:59 PM
Afaik the buy point would be at the reversal trend, in bitcoin mostly. So the price level would be what analysts say and read in the charts. Some say 4000 - 4800. "3600 to 2400". There are some support levels which have to see volume and market participation. Krown (TA videos on youtube) would say to buy a little around 4800 level. Now, everyone has its level of confidence and risk taking.

I bought on kukoin at 944, price now is 922 satoshi. Hmm, i expected a pump to be honest, did not happen.
When is the actual listing on binance happening though? Volume seems to be increasing.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just got a little extra money and want to invest in crypto, should I? on: September 03, 2018, 05:54:53 PM
Yes. Depends on the time frame and charts. Right now there is a rising wedge, basically needs to break upwards for the price to rise. The bias of the market was bearish. How did you learn about crypto? Maybe one can still wait 1 year.
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market stabilizes. on: September 02, 2018, 02:45:02 PM
Maybe it's still too early to talk about recovering the market, but I think the indications are good. And I think most coins are about to return their old values.

I wouldn't keep my hopes up if I were you. for majority of altcoins the ATH they experienced last year has been their only chance of  gaining any moment of fame and those prices were literary their all time high and they will never go there ever again. many of them are already dead thanks to the previous 9 months of dumping. and some of the bigger ones are still getting dumped as we speak.

I still believe that the Alt coin prices has gone through the same correction phase that Bitcoin went through at the beginning of February and that most of the popular coins like ETH/Ripple/Monero/Dash/LiteCoin will bounce back. Some of the Alt coins like Bitcoin Cash will not recover, because it was simply a Roger Ver pump n dump fork with zero utility value.

Do not write off all the popular Alt coins, they might still surprise you.  Wink

Yes, that is true that they could bounce back, for example ETH could. The problem i think is when they have to rise 100% (if they fell 50%), so litecoin dropped from 110$ and now is around half that... Sad story. For a parabolic run to happen (as in 2017) i think at least one year should pass.

Sorry, now I am trying to understand how the lists can be expanded. As an example under "plug types" there are a number of plugs. Great. But I would imagine for small drones wireless charging would be a good method. For really large drones, I would imagine a larger set of connections. Is this list it for dav or have they indicated the list will be malleable.
Every other list is exhaustive or general enough. But it owuld be cool if there was an "other" plug that inclduded contacts pads and wireless charging
Remote systems need secured authentication, drones coordonate each other in space, thus valuable goods (if delivery drones) stay safe when connecting with each other. Why would dav blockchain be needed for plugs?

What happen with binance coin of the month? Is this usual, or some terms of agreement are met now.
I know binance listing is not easy.

GoChain is thrilled to announce our official listing on Bittrex! 🚀😁👉

https://medium.com/gochain/gochain-is-officially-listed-on-bittrex-c168a9a58723

This gave the market a little bump. Is actually interesting that in the old days, bittrex listing would mean a lot, but in confluence with a Binance listing? That is insane. It offers liquidity and stuff for accumulation prior to announcement from Binance. Right now is at 31 Million market cap, and the highest was 51 million. I assume it would go around this level if bitcoin does not go south.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you wait to prove them wrong about Bitcoin? on: August 28, 2018, 10:53:23 AM
One point i took from how crypto get/got its popularity, is how news have an impact on people's perceptions. News is what brings the awareness to people and is how people know other people have awareness, because usually they feed the audience the same thing ur feeling, as an individual, how could a random news event know what someone feels? Well, depends on what they are targeting.

Don't explain and don't prove either (like, why bother telling people the worth of gold) because it has to have value in their life, maybe they are not into it and is for their best.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the cryptocurrency market world division ? on: August 28, 2018, 10:49:29 AM
I think i seen a link related to bitcoin popularity by nations.
If one asks because wants to know which country or region is most influential... then we can look at different times of a variety of events. I noticed bitcoin news are most influential from US as SEC, Korea as exchange new regulations, and ASIAN time as the period when price usually had major volume change.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to fall this year? on: August 26, 2018, 10:21:35 PM
I know few intermediate traders (1 year +) who are willing to move to stock market (as they say is extremely bullish now), but you have to ask yourself, which is friendlier now, haha. I think it would be in a limbo, especially that people are caution but pumped with news, on low volume changes daily.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is dangerous.... on: August 26, 2018, 10:19:36 PM
Yeah man, is addicting. When i had my trades on like a noob, without stop loss (even at first day of trading had this feeling) i purely couldn't sleep at night, so i made a harsh decision but at least i sleep better, with some regret still, but c'est la vie. Used to watch the chart all day doing nothing, more addicting then games or anything. It is hard these days to read a book or so, yet i think ur situation is worse, having exams for a better future for you and your family.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Emperor of Crypto or Victim of greed on: August 25, 2018, 01:38:49 PM
Still lots to learn, but i would not use this kind of language on a serious note. Market cycle dictate the prices and the mighty crypto "gods" know when a new cycle might begin. In 2014 it took like one year to recover afaik? Might take longer now if the market cap was so high.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TOKEN] DAV - Decentralized Autonomous Vehicles. Presale Early 2018 on: August 25, 2018, 03:31:50 AM
Is the volume still under $100K? Didn't DAV raise 40K+ ETH via the ICO? If team+advisors were dumping it would be a lot worse than this.
However, I'm inclined to think that for investors, it would be extremely unprofitable. What was the discount on the pre-sale? In my opinion, 30%(but this is not accurate), but it's still not profitable. Let's see what's next

I did a presale that had a 50% bonus. However the bonus is locked up for 6 to 12 months.

Ditto

Dav is my last ICO investment so i really don't care much about it, since "ain't one of my 99% issues" type of thing. I'am lucky i participated in bounty as well, but if feels kind of gloomy, as bounties are so good sometimes.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TOKEN] DAV - Decentralized Autonomous Vehicles. Presale Early 2018 on: August 24, 2018, 02:00:05 AM
Well, i have 7400 DAV, and half locked away for few months... What i like is that the company is active in GIT hub coding. This is what big exchanges like, activity and one strong team. I looked around and ethfinex and okex, or rather kukoin, or even other korean exchanges are accepting these coins at pretty decent volumes.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best and Worst Case Scenario for Bitcoin on: August 24, 2018, 01:50:42 AM
1. Best case scenario: by 2020 we are back in bull market; people gain confidence, no such thing as one big wallet controlled by one person or unknown company, but a big, important entity and conglomerate of trusted companies, making this known as digital gold, offering the fundamentals and support for the market.
2. Worst case scenario: Bitcoin fud increases, we get back to 2014 where soldiers witness stuff that no child should know, doom levels get down beyond hell and chills, in drops that just makes the hell implode. In other words, what we see now is a stubborn bitcoin and altcoins turning ghosts of the past.
