44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Minerstat Vs HiveOS on: August 08, 2021, 05:03:13 AM
you can't add AMD and Nvidia cards in a single motherboard ... meaning 6 Nvidia cards at a time or 6 Radeon cards at a time, no mixing

That's very true. Thank you for honest feedback.

So you would rather use minerstat but you can't use it as you have a mixed rig.

And I can see that you are greatly frustrated by that fact.

But don't stress, it's not about you, it's us (Read this).

On the other hand I'd be frustrated too, because minerstat is such an amazing platform to use. It looks great and it just works.

You are missing on really great features such as:
- Built-in mining calculator
- AMD Tweak tool
- Profit switching
- Deep diagnostics
- Reporting on over 800 errors
- Custom triggers
- ... and many other features that people comment with "OMG I didn't even know I'd need something like that, amazing"

Also pricing ... just perfect, it's only 2$ per month with up to 20% discount if bought annually.

You can mine on any pool you want by using Windows mining software, ASIC, or just standard mining OS.

But not just any pool, you can profit switch between the pools. Imagine that. If you'd only have a normal rig build ... right? Mmmm-m-m. Delicious.

For everyone else that value stability and quality of service, I invite you to register and use minerstat at https://my.minerstat.com/register

Use coupon code BITCOINTALK to get 10% off your next order (code expires in a week from now).

45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] ethermine.org - The new mining pool from the creators of ethpool.org on: July 21, 2021, 06:49:10 AM
Ethermine, I am greatly disappointed in you, mostly because I have to take it publicly like this. I hate it.

Here are two addresses of a hacker that is hacking mostly Hive's rigs and you are not doing anything about it to prevent the hacker from getting paid.

https://ethermine.org/miners/3F9963823d6b75bF28afa738a82b95b2028D6083/dashboard
https://ethermine.org/miners/AfF52f95913B49b963dC98FAF36bAEfff25ab5C7/dashboard

So, the main question is why are you enabling hackers and turning the blind eye to the problem that you are aware of?
You are well aware of it so you can't deny that you didn't know. Also by now it's a public knowledge as everyone is talking about the hacks.

I've reported it to you via tickets and also Discord, but you didn't put any effort into it.

For everyone else, check the two addresses and make sure your rig is not on the list. If it is, reflash the rig and protect your network.

And for Ethermine, we will think if we still want to keep your pool as a default option for our customers or not.

Diagnostic
Added Security exposure check for ports 22 (SSH) and 4200 (Web console), so you can check if you rig or a device on your public IP is reachable remotely or not.

Note: msOS is highly protected system out of the box. Security check was added as an extra layer for your confirmation that your device on the IP is not reachable from the outside.

minerstat Credits

We are introducing new service to minerstat: Outage compensation

For every full-hour that your workers are not mining due to unexpected power failure or flood, or even when you are carrying out scheduled maintenance activities, minerstat will partially compensate your offline subscription time with minerstat Credits.

Service is automatic and therefore no further action is required from your end as all added workers on paid (and customers') accounts are eligible for the compensation.
