41  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: November 26, 2016, 05:39:59 PM
For now i see the advamtages of bitcoin investment than cash we need to take it to earn lots of money because bitcoin value is very strong it can helps.us to get rich if we put big investment in bitcoin.

Yeah, but be careful as well. Bitcoin can devaluate very quickly. And while some say this can happen with cash as well, the chances are much lower. Just be careful before you invest everything in Bitcoin. Only invest that which you can miss (like with gambling).
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for the 710-750 drops? on: November 26, 2016, 02:04:59 PM
Didn't anyone think that the market's irrationality is over and the price of BTC is now becoming more efficient and balanced? Maybe all the news, rumors and the economic need for BTC is reflected in the price right now. In short this is where BTC's price should be at.

I can agree with that. I think if you realistically look at all the aspects that have been, and still are influencing the price, then anything between the $650-$700 levels is what I consider to be a fair price. So in that regard, the current price can be seen as a more than welcome bonus for most of the people here. I however think it won't last long as I expect the price to dive below $700 before the end of next week. My advice is to either keep holding, or secure profits right now (assuming you are a decent % in the green of course).

I'm planning on selling 1 BTC right now as that 1 BTC was bought during the $300 time. So I'm going to just take my profits and hope it won't rise much more. If it does, I still have BTC left in my wallet anyways.
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for the 710-750 drops? on: November 26, 2016, 01:38:05 PM
If I may ask? what will you need the explanation for? Maybe to establish a trend and cash in on the next time that the trend will show itself?  For me I dont bother myself on the technicalities or the explanation on why its rising or falling maybe when I now have enough BTCs that actually matters or could make an influence then I would think otherwise for now, I dont care about the explanation and the anyone you will get will be based on person view and not the real explanation.

I've been using BTC for a long time and I've never really interested my self in the economical standpoint of it (trading, price fluctuation, etc.). That's why I asked the community to provide me with some information. It's all about learning Wink.
44  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet to use ? Tired of Blockchain on: November 26, 2016, 01:36:37 PM
I just simply use Bitcoin Core... I mean privacy is the whole point of bitcoins and web-interfaces log ip's and doesn't have something like source code so you never exactly now what's going on. But thats just my opinion and when it is more important for you to accept multiple crypto currencies in one wallet then it might be something for you.

Edit: BUT for Beginners it's of curse better to use services like jaxx.io or blockchain.info because it is simple and your wallet file can't be stolen or deleted or something like that...

The big downside of Bitcoin Core is the huge chuck of files it needs to download and store on your hard/SSD drive.
That's why, for most people, Electrum or Multibit (HD) would be the better option.
45  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet to use ? Tired of Blockchain on: November 26, 2016, 09:22:01 AM
I am really tired of Blockchain, it adjust the bad fees and transactions get late. I want to hold more control over my transactions and understand bitcoins.

Can someone please suggest me a new wallet to use on PC ? How's Bitcoin Core , Bitcoin-QT and more ?

Do tell
I use jaxx.io on my PC and it can be used on android or other platform, you can take control it because of the seed on your hand. The fees of transaction sending bitcoin was about 20-30k sat, in my opinion it is not too expensive for fast transaction if be compared with Blockchain. For the details you can check on here. https://jaxx.io

Few questions (because I like the design of Jaxx):

1. Has it been audited?
2. Does it rely on other servers?
3. How long has it been on the market for?

Thanks in advance Wink.

Is KeepKey worth the $99 these days? And is it kinda user-friendly (I'm pretty technical, but still).

I was a bit skeptical when I wanted to buy it, a trader sent me one so I could test it, I bought it the next day.

Very easy to use
Strong
Minimal and just the features you need.

It is worth it.

Alright, thanks for that. I'll do a bit more research and will probably order it anyways.
It's only $99, so if it sucks, it won't be that big of a problem.
47  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet to use ? Tired of Blockchain on: November 25, 2016, 09:18:45 PM

NO - NO - NO

Never, ever use Coinbase as a wallet.

Stop telling people to use it, you have no control over it, no control over your BTCs and no way to recover your coins if Coinbase is offline.

Coinbase has never gone offline as far as I know and it is one of the safest online wallets out there.

Electrum and multibit are desktop wallets.

*Achum* Mt. Gox *Achum*

(Same principe at least).

@OP: Either Electrum or Multibit (HD) is best suited for your wishes.

This is what I am trying to explain but some users want to be dumb.

Electrum + KeepKey [Hardwallet storage] = the perfect combination, even if your computer is hacked and remotely controlled, no physical access to your keepkey = no bitcoin transaction.

Is KeepKey worth the $99 these days? And is it kinda user-friendly (I'm pretty technical, but still).
48  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: November 25, 2016, 09:14:31 PM
Cash is easy to steal weather from your pocket or your bank account but bitcoin on the other hand has no potential way of being stolen, has more value easy to use and wallets don't charge you anything when sending or receiving bitcoin unlike the regular bank accounts that force you to pay a portion of your hard earned money

I have to disagree. It's actually easier to steal Bitcoins than physical cash as stealing Bitcoins won't leave any traces at all.
Disclaimer: I don't approve of stealing anything Cheesy!
49  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: November 25, 2016, 09:08:59 PM
I've got 1 more addition. If I need money badly (to pay the mortgage or something like that), I'd sell my BTC Cheesy.
50  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best wallet for a Raspberry Pi on: November 25, 2016, 09:05:13 PM
it's certainly safer than a normal computer.

Why? There isn't anything special with a Raspberry comparing it to another computer, being it whatever size or architecture. A Raspberry is as safe as any other computer, which means it is as safe as its owner wants it to be.

I agree with you 100%. But I'm comparing the Raspberry Pi to another dedicated machine for Bitcoin (which is often secured just for that purpose).

It's certainly safer if you just use it for BTC in comparison with having a wallet on a PC (or Mac in my case) you use daily.
But, once again, it depends on how safe the user wants it to be.
51  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Interest check] Old Runescape accounts from 2005-2010 ish on: November 25, 2016, 08:45:02 PM
Hey, I used to play this game back in the days as well.
Got one good main (looking to sell that) and like 8 pures (PvP).

I should log onto them to see what's still on them. Most of these accounts were made around 2004-2007.

My newest main (the completely maxed account) was a pure until I quit. Then my brother got 99 defence and finished off the terrible skills I avoided haha. (Woodcutters, mining, runecrafting. Barf.) I gave away so many cool accounts when I quit too. I had a 99 magic pure. 10 hp lol. Alched to 99.

I doubt this is going to be the right forum to sell these on haha but who knows. I heard that pures are useless now but idk much past the 2011/2012 era. I guess there was an 'evolution of combat'. No idea what it was about. Not going to bother looking into it haha. I don't have time to play games!

I know I gave away my first main and can't recover it. I hated it anyways haha the name sucked Smiley I was very particular with my names. No cptdude84629 garbage for me! The maxed account's username is 5 characters with 1 space. It could be changed to the original name though which had 3 spaces and is really rare to see nowadays (or at least when I quit).

We'll see if there's any interest here. I kind of doubt it, but I know what these go for Smiley kind of a waste of literally 300+ days of game time. My God I was a bored kid.

Edit: there's only about 300million or something left. I guess he said he spent a lot on fast ways to get 99s that didn't used to exist. He told me what they were but it was in one ear and out the other. I have no idea what he was talking about haha. The game changed too much. Back in my day you took your green dragonhide legs and vambs, make hat and top, you went out and you pked some noons for their run scimmis. Those were the good ol' days Wink

Well, I think there are still a lot of people interested, but I'll PM you with a forum that's much more interested in this kind of thing.
Pures on RS07 (Oldschool servers) are still very popular though, but the RS3 accounts are mostly for PvM these days.

I do have to say that I'm willing to buy the 300 million from you. I still got some friends that would be happy with that.

I'm just going to sell it as a package deal with my old main. I think people will probably want some spending money when they buy an account with that high of stats. If not then I'll be looking to sell off the cash too of course.

Feel free to PM me on how much you want for the account. I'm interested.

54  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: November 24, 2016, 06:14:29 PM
We are all having this dream but if it really will happen is the question lets hope it will happen, I think that the bitcoin has a good thing so that is one thing that is pretty nice about it.
Yes, this is the dream of every bitcoin users and most of us are waiting for the right time to have the bitcoin price to go up.. and we are seeing a very positive outcome for the value of bitcoin. I'm also hoping to get a good amount of investment for my bitcoins.. not to get too rich but to have a good savings for my family.

Not too rich? You can NEVER be rich enough Cheesy.

But jokes aside, I understand what you mean. Too much money will scoop around with your mind. Before you know it you waste it all on gambling, booze or drug addictions.

You're a smart man, I'd give you that.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for the 710-750 drops? on: November 24, 2016, 06:12:00 PM
Looks like we're trapped in some kind of loop with this price,I wonder how long it will take to break the barrier of 750$ and go up to 800$.It seems that the whales decided to play this game as long as possible, for someone who has a large amount of bitcoin for trading this is a true paradise.

As someone said, we can be happy to have all the time 700 + $,I hope it will not be some big dump or bad news in near future.Maybe some will not agree, but last two months are much more interesting than September or August Smiley

May I ask you where you got that chart?
Thanks in advance.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: November 24, 2016, 06:10:33 PM
I started saving my bitcoins in june 2016, I will only use it when the situation calls it,  Fortunately I only made 4 transactions (Send ones) since then .

I'm planning to buy a hardware wallet to keep a huge amount of btc and will let it sleep for years until bitcoins price sky rockets and funds earned from signature campaign will be transferred to it and the other funds from trading, gambling etc. will be on my desktop wallet to spend .

Just make sure you can control yourself whilst gambling. It would be a shame if you'd gamble away everything in your hardware wallet.
Self-control is of utmost importance here Wink.

But I like the idea of buying something like KeepKey, although I'm not sure if it's worth those $99.
57  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for the 710-750 drops? on: November 24, 2016, 04:29:54 PM
When you find an obvious ceiling for the price like $750 its time to make some smart trades. Sell every time it gets just below the ceiling. Then buy back when it dips by $20-$30. You can do this a few times a week right now and make 10% or more on some obvious swings.

Just make sure your in coins and not fiat when the swing up to $800-$850 happens because it will be sudden. If your stuck in fiat when that happens you'll wish you had just held btc the whole time.

Just as sudden as the increase to $750? It was like $30 in an hour right?
58  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Selling] $50 Digital Ocean Coupon + $10 Promo Code (One Package) on: November 24, 2016, 02:15:14 PM
Can we buy this multiple times or are you only selling one package?

I'm only selling 1 of this, as it's from my university. I sadly can't get more.
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for the 710-750 drops? on: November 24, 2016, 01:42:56 PM
Thanks for your answers everyone. Something I have to specifically look at is the meeting of the Fed on December 13th. Thanks for the person that mentioned that Wink.
60  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best wallet for a Raspberry Pi on: November 24, 2016, 01:37:41 PM
Raspberries can handle pretty much any wallet you can compile to ARM. The wallet you'll use will depend on the usage you're looking for. Either way Electrum and Armory are very good options.

Decided to install Electrum on it as I'm not looking for a full node on this thing.
Thanks for the advice anyways.

You made a good choice. Electrum is a great client. I have been using it for awhile and I am very happy with it. I've never used a rasberry pi before with it though. Does it work well?

It works decent, obviously my Macbook Pro is much faster in comparison. But you shouldn't run into any problems while using it and it's certainly safer than a normal computer.
