Which wallet to use ? Tired of Blockchain

you should know some thing with bitcoin technology if you want to really control your bitcoin before you use wallet

the most important thing is to keep your private-key safe.

bitcoin-core is too large for normal use(120G now) .

you can use some light wallet but do remember secrect one

If you have not yet decide and you want a PC wallet my favorite one, as it was proposed from many others above,  is Electrum. There is portable edition and has support with cold storage and with Trezor HD wallet assuming that the user has Electrum 2.0+. I believe that is more friendly than Multibit especially if you want to import coins from paper wallet.

Was going to use them since they have Ethereum available now.
Maybe I will not now and try another wallet for it instead.

This is what I am trying to explain but some users want to be dumb.

Electrum + KeepKey [Hardwallet storage] = the perfect combination, even if your computer is hacked and remotely controlled, no physical access to your keepkey = no bitcoin transaction.

Electrum is great and you can set your own fee's i have also tried mSigna which allows you to connect to your own node and set up multi sig wallets.  Although for simplicity Electrum is hard to beat.

Beside blockchain I have multibit and its very nice wallet. You can adjust many things, generally I like it more then blockchain. I don`t have some big knowledge about security of wallets, but after reading about it multibit have a lot of good reviews.
I use it for storing some bitcoins, I feel safer when my bitcoins are in that wallet. Blockchain is just for daily using, depositing in casinos, different sites. You can try it, very easy to download and install, good luck with choosing wallet for you.

I was a bit skeptical when I wanted to buy it, a trader sent me one so I could test it, I bought it the next day.

I use jaxx.io on my PC and it can be used on android or other platform, you can take control it because of the seed on your hand. The fees of transaction sending bitcoin was about 20-30k sat, in my opinion it is not too expensive for fast transaction if be compared with Blockchain. But thats just my opinion and when it is more important for you to accept multiple crypto currencies in one wallet then it might be something for you.

Edit: BUT for Beginners it's of curse better to use services like jaxx.io or blockchain.info because it is simple and your wallet file can't be stolen or deleted or something like that...

COINS.PH it really have good reputations and does not requires too much fees. Try if it can access in your country.

The big downside of Bitcoin Core is the huge chuck of files it needs to download and store on your hard/SSD drive.
That's why, for most people, Electrum or Multibit (HD) would be the better option.

I had Bitcoin Core on my old computer and indeed you need a lot of space on you harddisk for the donwload. That's why i have bought an external harddisk of 1 TB. I have put everything on this one and now needs a good 100 GB. So i hope to be good for still a lot of years.

Since a few weeks i use also blockchain.info where i have put a small amount, for the moments i want to pay little things with it. I find blockchain.info easy to use, works fast.

Can anyone let me know, is Jaxx a web wallet or a software wallet (that which you install on PC).
I'd also like to know if it has been audited if it's open source.

I highly recommend Electrum for ease-of-use and security, and Armory if you intend on storing your Coins in Safe Storage (Althrough Armory takes quite a lot of space as well).
As far as I am aware, Armory is one of the safer options to store coins in Cold Storage.
