41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What's the reason? on: January 17, 2018, 06:21:25 AM

What is the reason of current big downtrend in the market?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nanopool: Where transferred after hit by min. payout? on: January 15, 2018, 06:02:49 AM
Hi,

Just want to know where the currency is transferred after being hit by the min. payout. Right now the balance is zero. Was the amount transferred in some buffer. How to claim/get that?

Rizwan
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it required to sync desktop wallet with currency network? on: January 09, 2018, 09:07:35 AM
Hi,

Is it required to sync desktop wallet with currency network. Reason for asking is that I am syncing for Dash and its taking too much space.

Thanks and regards,

Rizwan
It depends on the wallet. if that is a core wallet of course it requires you to sync because you are running a master node which means you have the copy of the whole blockchain in real time that is why it takes up too much space in your hard drive. you really dont need to use this kind of wallet if you dont want to download the whole blockchain. just use other wallet for your coins that can provide you your private key.

Thank you.

Can I use desktop wallet without syncing? That is just generating wallet address for once from the own/designated wallet of the coin.

What are the major pros and cons of using coin's own/designated wallet?

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is it possible? on: January 08, 2018, 12:55:40 PM
Hi,

Is it possible that I make single wallet for specific category of the algo-based currencies:

For eg.:

Single wallet for: Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Ubiq (Ethash based)

Single wallet for: Bytecoin, DigitalNote, Monero (CryptoNote-based)

Single wallet for: Zcash, Zcoin, Zclassic, ZeroVert, Bitcoin Gold (Zerocoin-based)

Thanking you in anticipation and looking forward,

Regards,

Rizwan

Flypool is for Zcash not for Bitcoin Gold.

Set up an account on Suprnova or MiningPoolHub and mine BTG there. I can attest that both of those pools have worked well for us to mine BTG.

Here is a simple .bat file to mine BTG on Suprnova with Claymore's Equihash miner....

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool  btg.suprnova.cc:8816 -zwal YourUserID.WorkerName -zpsw YourPassword -allpools 1
pause

You will need to change the text in bold to match your account of course.

Hi Elder III, thanks. PMed you.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What are you using for Bitcoin Gold mining? on: January 04, 2018, 07:08:18 AM
Hi,

If you are mining Bitcoin Gold then please share me the contents of .bat and config files.

Also please let me know from which service you created your wallet and what pool(s) you have been using.

Thanking you in anticipation and looking forward.

Rizwan
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why it happens? on: January 04, 2018, 06:34:52 AM
Thanks. As per bitcointalk post its mentioned that it can be used for BTG:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1670733.msg16775023#msg16775023

SAMPLE USAGE

 flypool SSL/TLS connection:
   ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3443 -zwal t1RjQjDbPQ9Syp97DHFyzvgZhcjgLTMwhaq.YourWorkerName -zpsw x

flypool (unencrypted connection):
   ZecMiner64.exe -zpool eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -zwal t1RjQjDbPQ9Syp97DHFyzvgZhcjgLTMwhaq.YourWorkerName -zpsw x
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Why it happens? on: January 04, 2018, 05:30:03 AM
Hi,

Why is that the wallet I created from the designated site (e.g. BTGwallet.online in bitcoingold.org) is identified as invalid in pool balance check i.e. when I enter the BTG wallet address in zcash.flypool.org it says that its an invalid address. I believe that wallet address should be recognized by all services. It has been created not by some unknown service but by using designated site of the coin.

Note: I am referring 34 char long by the title Address (Share) as the wallet address.

Your views?

Rizwan

Never use either of them till now.

What pools do you use?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: January 04, 2018, 04:08:23 AM
miningpoolhub SSL/TLS connection (this pool detects encryption automatically so it uses same port as for unencrypted connection):
   ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20570 -zwal YourLogin.YourWorkerName -zpsw YourWorkerPassword

Hi is YourLogin is Wallet address? Reason asking is that I made wallet from BTGwallet.online and using miningpoolhub.com as miner and there was no reference to the wallet address in miningpolhub.com.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to know BTG balance? on: January 03, 2018, 06:42:28 PM
Hi,

I am using miningpoolhub.com for BTG. Please let me know how would I know my BTG mining balance from this pool?

Or is there any other way I could know much I have made so far by mining BTG.

Thanking you in anticipation and looking forward.

Rizwan
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / BTG: Is that a healthy hash rate? on: January 03, 2018, 06:28:44 PM
Hi,

Just started Bitcoin Gold mining. My env.:

- RX 580, factory OC, stock
- Windows 10
- Claymore (miner)
- miningpoolhub.com (pool)

I am getting ~312 H/s per card.

Is that a healthy rate?

Thanks and regards,

Rizwan

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Your one-liners on: January 03, 2018, 07:10:08 AM
Are you using auto profit switching feature of MiningPoolHub?

Are there any hidden catches?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Your one-liners on: January 03, 2018, 06:53:44 AM
a) used for a few coins but stopped due to several usability issues
b) never used
c) my current favorite, mining several coins there now
d) like it a lot... mined mostly dash & dcr there with good success

MiningPoolHub:
You are mining at 0.9% pool fee and you are not donating.

Is pool fees 9%? Isn't that high?
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Your one-liners on: January 03, 2018, 05:45:12 AM
Hi,

In one-liner what are your views on these pools:

(a) supernova.cc
(b) flypool.org
(c) miningpoolhub.com
(d) coinmine.pl

for mining, especially Bitcoin Gold.

Rizwan

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there something wrong with my Bitcoin Gold address? on: January 02, 2018, 12:50:47 PM

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is there something wrong with my Bitcoin Gold address? on: January 02, 2018, 11:41:37 AM
Hi,

I created Bitcoin Gold wallet from https://btgwallet.online. I got the follwoing from this service:
- Address (Share)
- Public key (Share)
- Private key (WIF key)

I pointed out the address to nanopool. Did mining for few minutes. Visited nanopool and entered my BTG address. I got the following screen:

NOTE: The btgwallet.online is generating 34 characters long address whereas in nanopool its asking for 35 characters.

Is there something wrong or I have missed something?

Looking forward and thanking you in anticipation.

Regards,

Rizwan
