How about labelling it "projected average 12 day diff increase" (Or "avg 12d diff. inc.") which seems to be how you describe the underlying data?

From my point of view, it looks like terrahash have done nothing wrong except getting themselves involved in a bit of a flame war. Announcing plans of building hashing gear according to the Klondike design, nothing wrong with that. Not even taking preorders, I really don't see how that would qualify as scamming. People in this forum seem pretty high strung sometimes... I'm following this project with interest, and if they are telling the truth regarding chip orders and suggested prices for their products, I believe they might be offering one of the most profitable mining solutions out there. Of course we are all waiting for a finished product :-) When it's there, I'm hoping to be standing near the front of the line.

Finally got to the final dozen, added to my previous orders, this should be enough chips for three full boards :-)

What I noticed - and this puzzles me - is that different GPUs in the same rig have wildly different stale rates! I have one two-card computer with a 7950 and a 7950 in it, and I found the 7970 (in GUiminer scrypt (in reality that's cgminer behind the scenes), intensity 13) to get around 3% stales, whereas the 7950 in the same guiminer instance (bit a separate worker) got nearly 20% stales (intensity 20 - same result on intensity 18). My results mining on erundook.net's wdcpool2 since last night with my 7970 is 9214 shares accepted and 290 stale, according to guiminer/cgminer, this conforms with the site stats, and my payouts seem to be exactly as expected, too. So, while I've seen horrible stale rates from other GPUs, and the orphan rate on the pool seems to be around 10%, at least this one 7970 gives me a WDC income that seems to fit well with coinchoose.com. I thought the different results people were getting were related to network latency or something, but since two cards in the same rig can behave so differently, there must be something else to it. I have no idea what it is, though! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Managed to scrape together coin for another dozen, hoping to get the final twelve for three complete boards before the chips run out!

I was hoping to mine enough to make it to three boards before this group buy closes, but it's going slow and money is locked at exchanges. I have transferred the "cash" BTC I have on hand right now, enough for 24 chips, and hope to be able to supply the rest very soon!

(edit: somehow wrote the wrong amount of BTC in there, but the transfer was for correct sum)

for 2 mh it should be like 6.7 with current difficulty. and that indicator does really some black magic to calculate just for some average info, please dont rely on that yet. i've got to improve calculations on it further.
Thank you for the explanation! :-)

Hi, I have a question. This is a bit strange: I started with just 1 mh/s on the pool a few hours ago, and it reported an average of about 10WDC/hour. Then I added another few cards, brining my hash rate up to 2mh/s, and now the pool is reporting <8 WDS/hour...? Has the difficulty readjusted that much, is there something wrong with the pool, or is it the DDOS? What is an expected "return" of WDC/hour for 2Mh/s at the moment? Thanks! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) edit: the expected rate keeps falling - now at <7WDC/h just in the time it took to write the above... curious!

Isn't the pool hash rate getting dangerously close to 51% of the network..?

Thank you for your hard work, Paul! (been enjoying your ftc pool over the past few days - heroic effort in getting it to work properly under heavy load!! Appreciated!)
NOw, how do we get rid of all these DDOS attacks?

I am very happy with BitMinter, with the exception that hash rates seem to fluctuate a little bit, and they (as everyone else) have experienced some short DDOS attacks, but downtime seems to be minutes, not hours or days.

DrHaribo, I was connected to Bitminter for a few hours last night, and again had the same fluctuation in rates that I commented on earlier in this thread. If I look at the live stats page, my mhs jumps up and down with every refresh, and in the worker stats, it looks like this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi46.tinypic.com%2Ff2vm80.png&t=664&c=__x39jy_j4fSWg) All the while, my cards both report steady hash rates of 500-520 each (two card rig used for the test). Didn't see anything in console, strangely (GUIminer, Win7, latest ATI beta drivers). No network traffic speed problems. The drops in hash rate (for my worker) seem to occur during the night the times i've seen it. Any ideas? - DJ

Are anyone getting their LTC from Coinotron at the moment? I reached the APT 5-6 hours ago, and still nothing.. :-/
|
|
|
DrHaribo, I will try and have a look at the console messages/logs, I will get back to you on this (perhaps on the main thread when/if I get promoted :-) )

Sunsofdust, how low did you set the voltage?

Regarding coinotron again; LTC payout seems to be working now. I have received the transfer. Thanks. Dj

I have used bitminter and it is a very nice pool for BTC. I wish it supported LTC as well, perhaps even PPC, as both the currencies are more profitable at the moment.
Here are a few feature requests for bitminter.com: 1) Litecoin support 2) automatic NMC to BTC conversion at some automatic sell volume threshold (I would take the highest bid on BTC-E with no worries), eg sell every time the account reaches 5 or 10 NMC 3) better ddos protection
I also noticed a strange MH/s fluctuation during the time I was connected, it seemed like bitminter was not able to give me enough shares to saturate my gpus, so the rigs ran at lower than max speeds for several hours (10-20% variation from hour to hour). Would like to know what this is due to, if drHaribo has any idea? :-)
Thanks, Dj
