49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any advice on trading bitcoin peer to peer for cash? on: January 04, 2018, 12:29:34 AM
Hi Guys,

Just wanted some advice on conducting peer to peer cash transactions for bitcoin in the UK using Local Bitcoins.

Any information on good mobile wallets to use, types of places to meet and good electronic cash counting machines to use (if necessary) would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I'd meet in a starbucks, good lighting and video surveillance (though admittedly that could be a bad thing).  I use mycelium app for android - that will work well unless you're one of those silly people with iphones Wink

Unfortunately yes I am one of those silly people using an iPhone!

'No block source available' on my wallet for hours now.

Anything I should do to get the wallet syncing such as adding nodes for example?

Had same issue yesterday, started the wallet in cmd with "-reindex" parameter. Worked for me.

Here is a link for Mac, same parameter to be used for Win7/10.

Thanks. This worked for me as well.

Sadly Poloniex can be quite slow to answer tickets. But usually they do it even it might take some time. Good luck!

I had a similar issue and polo contacted me some days ago.....after having waited 5 months !

See...it could be the best thing that happened to you....because you don't have any choice but to hold......could make you rich

Good luck

lol I like your thought process!

If you have less than 1000 coins, can you still stake ZCoin?
There is no Proof-of-Stake in Zcoin. For that you might look at other coins such as Peercoin, where the whole idea was conceived.

Znodes don't increase the money supply by staking, they only redistribute the usual 50 XZC block rewards (thus making the rich even richer, to put it bluntly).

I thought Znodes adds new money to total supply but reducing the miners cut by %33 was discouraging.

So to clarify then 1000 coins are needed for a Znode?
