Any news of bittrex?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 08, 2017, 01:11:47 AM
warning medium ot  Wink

I am writing this because this distribution is so incredibly interesting, but probably not everyone is aware of it (Besides, it is a treasure chest for sociologists, economists and marketing experts).
The second round is a good time for a retrospective and a look into the future.

Some history for the newcomer:
When tony started the distribution, he planned a distribution in 4 rounds (see above - a Big Bang with four steps).
1.   Round 10% -> 0,10 * 1E15 Bytes = 1E14 Bytes / 1E9 = 100000 GBytes
2.   Round 20%
3.   Round 30%
4.   Round 39% (1% reserved for future development)
Tony participates like everyone else with his BTC.

Tony's goal was / is a distribution with great spread.  He hoped (last year) that at the optimum 10% of BTC's capitalization would be linked ( 10% => 1600000 BTC = 1,6 billions Dollar)

The interest was however rather modest (70000 BTC -> 0,4 % of BTC's capitalization) . Genesis making by a Big Bang does not seem easy- people are so lazy .
As we can see here ( http://transition.byteball.org/firstround.html ), we were only a very small number of believers - ICOs., some Big, and a lot of small fishes  Grin

According to this result, there was the risk that some early adopters (big fishes) and the ICOs. would suck up all the bytes (like a black hole sucks all the matter by gravitation).
The first distribution scheme still provided a 1: 1 distribution of byte -> bytes. What would have further accelerated the process. Similar to matter, money unfortunately has the property of agglomerate very quickly (The byte to byte ratio controls the gravity in the distribution cosmos).

The newly created Byteball universe would have become dark, boring and desolate. Only inhabited by 3 black holes (the ICOs), two handful of suns/planets, moons, and some planetoids + dust . (However, there are enough coin universes of this kind Wink ).

Tony pulled the emergency brake:
There was a new (newbie friendly) distribution scheme. It slows the distribution radically to remain attractive to new users. It’s also a more altcoin holder friendly scheme ( gravity  set to 0.1 new bytes for every 1 byte you own at the moment of the snapshot-> people have more time to participate).
(new rules: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.3580 )

Now it becomes very interesting:
Due to the binding to BTC, the distribution of BTC with the BB distribution is repeated in a timelapse:

Before and right after the first round, Google Trends reported only inquiries from the US and Germany (and no-one else). Now (before the second round) Korea is the leader (since about 7 days), and the Netherlands +UK has joined. We are once around the world  (search google trends “Byteball” time: 7 days).
If you look at this video https://youtu.be/XFFvSYdKN78 you can estimate how the distribution (hopeful) continues.

Conclusion
The first thought was to carry out the distribution like a big bang in 4 steps. That did not quite work. Now, Byteball runs as a symbiont over the host BTC.
Will it work this way? I think yes, because anyone who does not connect his BTC must be totally stupid.  There is a classical win-win situation. Zero risk and one keeps the BTC only 24 hours a month (full moon) at an address.
Earlier or later, the insight should greatly gain ground at a lot btc owners and organizations.
This will be a very interesting year..

I feel this should be bumped every five page or so as decent posts can't rise to the top on this forum. If I was new to BB and I came across this info on the first latest page, I'd join the movement.

Hi everyone..
what is the max number supply of NAV until the last block PoS?
On Github only 60M max money, but today was 60,630,754 NAV

thanks

There won't be a ''Last block POS" the idea is to continue inflation up to 5% per year. This is if all the wallets ''Stake''
At the moment over 40% of the wallets are open to stake.
Here you can check the data.

Am I am still in time to buy BTCDs to swap them with KMDs?

I believe so although BTCD supply is drying up fast.

And once dried up, do you think KMD will move to polo as a natural solution?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 05, 2017, 09:01:00 PM
byteball is a innovative cryptocurrency ,  It should have its position. If you don't cherish it only because it is free, it will maybe a fault. It may be better than another free coin which is ETC or Eth, example ETC market  ever reached 200 million dollars marketcap,It was just free coin split from eth.

The whole 'free' approach is the best marketing move in crypto to date. I hope those people that are in the second airdrop don't try and sell straight away as bytes have such a promising dev and platform for future years outside of merely making a few dollars.

Blackbytes is where I feel there is as much opportunity.

Question to dev... Are there any plans to integrate the merchant module in the main wallet? I have a small business and would love to spread the news locally and get people on board but this requires mobile merchant technology
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform | Crowdsale March 2017 on: February 05, 2017, 11:37:41 AM
most here have already discussed that this project will rival the big altcoin projects.
actually I have not been too understanding about qtum.
how the system works
What is because qtum has many funding this project will succeeds
I need a reference so understand this qtum system ...
Actually Qtum is not rival to any existing Altcoin project as it is unique.Which other Altcoin you know combines bitcoin and etherium blockchain?
Qtum is the leader in it niche which it has carved for itself.

Everything is making sense,  just having code closed is a worry at the moment. Has the whitepaper been translated to English yet?
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 05, 2017, 08:34:58 AM
Beware of the touchy/tricky Sell box at CrypoX.pl.  It reverts to market price if you're not careful.

I know a couple of people that got caught on that one. Hit the little padlock button just in case.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: February 05, 2017, 03:28:48 AM
Is there an exchange selling Elastic tokens or have I officially missed the boat?

Project sounds very interesting but hesitant to learn more unless I know I can invest financially.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 05, 2017, 03:26:36 AM
sooner or later, byteball will become a top10 coin.
just need some exchange platform to support.

when i post, byteball only have a 2000BTC marketcap, right now it's 9300BTC.

so still a long way to go until byteball reach top 10 coin.

3 projects in 2017:
Byteball/Qtum/Elastic

(1) Byteball: DAG
(2)Qtum:Bitcoin+EVM+POS3.0
(3)Elastic is better than Golem

Sorry to thread jack but please explain succinctly why Elastic is better than Golem?

OTC for me also. Not much,  about 1000 but yobit gives me a headache. Happy to trade BTC,  KMD or GBB.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 03, 2017, 09:08:57 PM
Can someone kindly link me to the page that details future distribution dates at least for the next year and also percentage of total that will be given out.

Many thanks in advance.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: February 03, 2017, 09:14:20 AM
Would love NAV to reach $1. It's been around for a while and I can't see it moving north unless it radically alters its marketing. I'm still holding a mutha of a bag and wish it all the best of luck for the next twelve months. Not just for me but because it beats DASH hands down.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 03, 2017, 09:08:25 AM
The wise whale that bought huge amounts of byteball showed us that every GBB lower than 0.15 is cheap. I saw the signs and bought more.

A couple of sells at 0.078. That seems a bit foolish unless you're sat on a TB and wanted some chump change. The run up to the next distribution is going to be very interesting to say the least. One of the reasons why there are so few BB on the market (considering how many first rounders scooped up) is that they acquired them for free so why not hold? The technology is sound and as soon as some apps come out then it'll spread wide and far through cryptoland.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 03, 2017, 07:35:59 AM
BB has a great market cap right now, almost $10M, the big milestone has been completed. Next target is to be listed on BITTREX, am I correct?

Forget Bittrex, next goal is to hold for another month, and another, and another. Repeat until it hits 1btc : 1gb and exchange lists BB in MBs
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Komodo Trading Thread /w escrow on: February 03, 2017, 01:10:33 AM
I think that the prices here are very cheap...
SELL 4000 Komodo for 7,2 BTC  ---> 0.0018 BTC/KMD, if you interested.
Why is this crap even being posted right now? You do realize you can buy 4000 Komodo on poloniex.com right now via BTCD conversion for a total cost of 0.56 BTC. You're currently asking for 13x the going rate AND someone would have to take the risk of buying the coins from a stranger. You're either delusional or trying to take advantage of someone who doesn't know better. Pretty much everybody in this thread is guilty of this.
It is his KMD and he is free to ask any price for them as he wants. Whether any one buys it at this price or not,it is buyers choice. Usually people under sell to attract buyers, whats wrong with asking for price above market rate?

+1 to this. This is business. People own assets and they can ask whatever price they like. Buyer beware.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: February 03, 2017, 01:08:37 AM
Alert to the Komodo users!
Do not deposit your Komodo to coinexchange.io!
It is clearly a scam: there is no support, no one in charge there. All deposits are pending for hours without any explanation whatsoever.
Many users are losing their KMD there!
I should have listened to the devs' warnings!

Oh how little girls scream scam when they don't get what they want,  right at that precise moment. Give coinexchange.io a break. Right now,  we've got two small exchanges on board. All good
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 02, 2017, 11:37:36 AM

So far, no exchange has told me that they have any issues with the undistributed coins.

Have you had any communication about listing ByteBall with either Bittrex or Poloniex?

I think tony supports appropriate efforts of the community passively (that is not his priority  Wink):
The current target is to establish and develop the technology and spread it as widely as possible - for now the distribution does this very well (I expect 50% growth  Smiley).
If the possibilities of the distribution model are exhausted (slowed growth ) it is possible to generate further attention at more / other exchanges.
After this maybe it’s good to enter bigger exchanges (aka Polo).
After that it’s time to leave Cryptovillage (direction real world)
..with flowing transitions..

A euphoric firework or a flash in the pan (aka Polo effect) are currently simply not helpful.
Trader are not interested to provide a technology they don’t touch the wallet, they don’t watch a white paper, they only watch to the chart..
Through the trade generate attention is in my opinion, little efficient (to establish a technology), but above all not sustainable.
If you set this option too early negative effects.

To make that clear:
I have absolutely nothing against traders (I vote for every exchange that is posted here)- obsessive traders have their place in the ecosystem.
But you have to know how to use them properly. For developing the coin they are means to an end not an end (they are only an intermediary).

The trolls can make a nice noise and arrange a firework that you can still hear / see in the real world  Grin.
But their zeal can also lead to severe and toxic side effects.

conclusion
The goal is to bring Byteball into a stable orbital orbit. This requires a multi-stage rocket with a lot of thrust.
Time is not the problem - a good idea is not made worse by patience - it behaves like wine.

What is stopping Polo from listing regardless of Tony's wishes? They'd where out their own mum if they thought they could turn a bob or two.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 01, 2017, 09:06:29 AM
I hope most people are familiar with his method of concerned or gentle trolling and see right through it.  It is cluttering up the thread though and should be moderated.

Let me reveal my guess why you support SatoNatomato:

You are a trader who cares only about his profit. SatoNatomato spreads lies trying to make the price rise higher. This aligns with your intention to sell for higher profit. Once you sell you'll start hating SatoNatomato's dirty tactics because they won't align with your intention to buy cheaper.

Am I right?

There goes that passive aggressive trolling again. For the love of God, why are you even on this thread? OK, you got beef with SN but please fuck off and take it elsewhere. At least they can ban your from the slack channel if you decide to spread your insidious posts there.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 31, 2017, 07:32:43 PM
Id say the blackbytes + Tor support makes Byteball more secure and anonymous than even Monero or Zcash.

I hope noone will really believe the quoted words, or they may find themselves in serious troubles...
Now you are just trolling and spreading fear with only these three dots ... to back it up, because your own shit coin iota is worthless.

@tonych, do you support the claim of SatoNatomato the Expert?

Nope. Tony is too professional and most likely too busy to get involved via your baiting.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Komodo Trading Thread /w escrow on: January 31, 2017, 07:17:16 PM
It is too soon for this trading thread...

You all are try to get x10 profit from buyers that dont know for/about BTCD swap  Roll Eyes

For BUYERS - buy BTCD on exchanges and then swap them for KMD (on ICO Komodo site (you can open account there))
This is cheaper and secure way to get KMD

No one is hiding this fact. People and just putting their minimum prices down when the bctd runs out (soon) so don't get your knickers in a twist.

As soon as KMD hits an exchange, these prices kick in. Message OP is you have an issue.
