It's possible, but I think it would take some time for Qtum to achieve the same network effect that Ethereum currently has. What programming language will be used for the smart contracts? Is it a new language, or something that already exists?

Nothing official has been released regarding the ICO/Crowdfund yet.  It is still about a month away so I think information on it will be out pretty soon.  It has been mentioned that it will be hosted on the Chinese exchanges and also directly through their website Qtum.org.

There are just few information about ico like it will be held on March 1 in 3 exchanges, 1 crowdfunding platform and Qtum official website. Also the crowdsale will be capped, it will only raised to the level where it could support Qtum foundation in 3 - 4 years.

Yeah guys, it's great that you're supporting the Qtum project but don't be name dropping Vitalik.  It can easily backfire and is not good for Qtum.  Devs are doing a great job and let's just let them keep doing what they are doing.  Looking forward to March 1st!

You know people when they get too excited, some peoples begin to make premeditated conclusions or tend to exaggerate in something, that's why they're saying that name over and over again, the good thing is  that Qtum already did the clarification about V...  He's not in any way directly involved with Qtum and only He reviewed Qtum project, that means that all development credit is of  Qtum team.

Iconomi made 4x after their release, why don't Qtum make same or even more? Qtum is clearly better than Iconomi, Chronobank and other similar ICO's. Qtum's competition will be against Ethereum. Qtum is offering similar smart contract system but with better ideas. We don't hassle with POW, we go directly with POS.

Here is the important bit of my research. Vitalik is invested in QTUM. We all know that Ethereum is not going to switch to POS ever. QTUM has made their platform compatible with Ethereum's present smart contracts and dapps. So I speculate that a great migration to QTUM will occur simply because it might be more stable, faster and more scalable. The migration will include Vitalik. He will leave Ethereum and declare it a community project.

What is the source of this information? I know one of the former Ethereum foundation member is invloved Anthony Dilorio but I have never seen Vitalik name associated with Qtum project. Vitalik leaving Ethereum would end the project

I said in my post that it is only a speculation. Maybe I should have also used the right wording in saying that Vitalik is invested in QTUM. But his friend and fellow general partner at Fenbushi Capital is invested in it. Maybe Vitalik does not want to be directly connected publicly with the platform but it is very possible for him to be invested in it no matter how he denies it.

hmm, i don't know if it is as good a news as you think. and you forgot to give us a resource for this news.
besides Vitalik is not going to give up his own altcoin and come invest in something he can not control. ethereum is mostly in his possession and he is making a lot of money from it. so i doubt if he really is planning on leaving anything.

They always do. When a platform has nowhere to go they will leave. Ethereum has already shown to be technically incapable of scaling and their plan to become a POS platform is very doubtful to happen.

He makes a lot of money from ETH only if he moves them to BTC and I speculate he will move some of his personal stake to QTUM.

Already its confirmed as a success project. It has crossed milestone in terms of capital funding and investment base. Hope we can get the ICO's soon. Good thing with the signature campaign is the paying in terms of bitcoin.

Actually Qtum is not rival to any existing Altcoin project as it is unique.Which other Altcoin you know combines bitcoin and etherium blockchain?
Qtum is the leader in it niche which it has carved for itself.
