Due to what is happening in the world, some sectors of the market are being liberated. I think that you can find something for yourself today. Maybe it is this unstable situation that all countries are feeling today that will help you get an additional job. You need to look at what is happening around you now and identify interesting things for yourself.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: May 08, 2022, 06:55:04 PM
Elon Musk bought Twitter. Be said to buy Twitter in 2017.Finally he did it this year. Now Twitter owern Elon Musk and Twitter fully his control now.Twitter user increase day by day and People loves to Elon Tweet. Many people followed Elon Musk tweet.I hope he will promote again Dogecoin by tweet.Cz he is one of the best Cryptocurrency investor.
and I got information that Twitter is starting to pay. Elon Musk will start trying to charge commercial and government users like the tweet he made on May 4, 2022.
~
This will give birth to those who support the plan and those who reject it.
As expected he would really be that making use of this platform to make more money or simply minding about getting his ROI because buying out something without having any intent behind is really impossible. Its good to hear that it would be still free for casual users but a bad news into those commercial or government which they would need to pay off but well its been mentioned
that it would be just slight so it wont really be that an issue but wont be surprising that there would really be always criticisms towards this new change.
We have to admit that Elon Musk is a very smart businessman. I agree that if someone buys something, there must be a purpose as the purpose of the economy itself is to make a profit and this Elon Musk figure really applies that concept in his life.
If it's free plan (twitter) for regular users except only paid for commercial and government users, for me it's good because commercial users use twitter platform to promote their products so they get profit.

The result of all actions with the purchase and sale of something is profit. Do not be surprised if this purchase is made to make a profit. It will be free for us, but organizations have to pay for their messages and I don't understand why Elon Musk called it freedom of speech. Again, the one who has a lot of money will be right))

Looks like markets are crashing ! Hold tight !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUS5JXj48_o

What do you think ?

1920-1990 dow was moving normal ... after 1990 it skyrocketed ...it looks like some sort of bubble / pump and dump

Now there is cause for concern. For big big big worry...The forecast is disappointing. Now we should be calm and not be in a panic mood. I do not advise  to take any action at this time. It is necessary to exhale and not look at the charts. If we can't change the situation then we just need to wait a while. In the world today changes are taking placeand they will be reflected in many processes in the world.

45  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: May 04, 2022, 07:24:46 PM
Many politicians only think about their purse. What problems will concern these people? They have only one problem - how to sit for a long time at their workplace. And all the political problems they care about only because their personal money can suffer. I do not believe that political parties are worried about the problems of peace and ecology. These problems can be solved quickly, but this has not been done so far and there's always a reason for it.
I do not think that it is politicians that fill their pockets that get the power, I think people get power by filling their pockets. So, you can't become a politician unless you decide to be a shady person willing to get rich. Other politicians who see you not taking any bribery or not working with them on shady deals etc etc will oust you and eventually even on the smallest of the issues you will be gone.

Look at the USA for example, Bernie Sanders is famously a person who can't be bought and he is always and will always stay to be the cleanest politician they have there, but Americans do not vote for him because everyone on media and all politicians hate him because he is not like them. You HAVE TO take money and be shady in order to be accepted among them.

Yes, it's very sad. We want the people we elect to the government to honestly do their job. Then maybe they will think more about protecting the world around them. I want environmental awareness to be a fashionable trend. Then we will be able to see real actions in this direction. If caring for the cleanliness of our planet becomes the main issue of all countries, then the world will become clean and healthy for people.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia Was Prepared to Withstand Sanctions. Why Wasn't Europe Prepared to Impose on: May 04, 2022, 07:01:56 PM
And what about Russia? Quality of life in Russia? Where do people live better, in France, Germany, Switzerland,  Netherland or in Russia? Majority of Russians have a low quality of life, there isn't good life outside of Moscow and Saint Peterburg, am I wrong? Only these two cities, especially Moscow, are good.

So what? Russia always had a low quality of life when compared to Western Europe. The main reason is that despite being a major producer of the natural resources, Russia has never tried to become a manufacturer of finished goods. The corrupt politicians and oligarchs have benefitted from this trade and they have looted the national wealth over the past decades. And ironically, the same oligarchs are the hardest hit from the sanctions. Their houses and yachts are being seized. Ordinary Russians are not affected as much as these oligarchs.

I agree with you. Now only oligarchs are losing their property, ordinary people do not suffer losses. I think that the Russian government took the right measures and was able to protect the population of Russia. The situation turned out to be quite the opposite -the one who invented them suffers from sanctions. Why is this happening everyone understands.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is a puzzle ! on: May 04, 2022, 06:28:54 PM
We have to choose the right pieces and get them together , if we choose them wisely we will have a dream life and if not it will be full of dislocations and struggles!

Main parts of this puzzle are study, proper job , marriage, smart housing move and retirement plan! We shall Live like economist and study each step economically.

Each person has his own task in this life. We determine what our new day will be, this happens every day and for many years. This is a game in which we are the main characters. To make dreams come true, we must be brave and not be afraid to take risks. if we make the right moves, we can get a good win. We just have to make a plan and follow it.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hits USA on: May 02, 2022, 07:27:47 PM
No matter how small the hope that is in bitcoin to prevent and reduce the effects of inflation then I agree it is still better than fiat. So far, fiat has lost its price because all basic needs have gone up while income/ salary has not increased. Obviously that will only make us poorer in the long term, but sooner or later this percentage of inflation will probably be reduced and corrected.

In my opinion, inflation does not only happen in the US, because it has happened in many countries. Hyperinflation, that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

I hope hyperinflation doesn't hit the US, or the world's economy will be doomed for good. After all, the US Dollar is the world's reserve currency. Anything that happens with it, will directly affect other countries' economies. It's a good thing we have Bitcoin, or else we would've been toast. I'd say Bitcoin is ten times better than Fiat, but people still haven't recognized its true benefits yet.

With inflation hitting the USA, Bitcoin should've been worth at least $75k by now. Something is not right here. I assume inflation rates will continue to grow due to the uncertain times we're living into. As long as COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine conflict persists, there won't be signs of a recovery anytime soon. Who knows how long the US Dollar will last? Just my opinion Smiley

I believe that it is necessary to keep your money in other currencies. Today I wouldn't trust the dollar. I think that it will not be long before we see completely different topics here. Of course, they will touch the dollar but in a negative way. Inflation will rise and nothing will stop it in the near future. I wouldn't take the risk and keep my savings in dollars.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: May 02, 2022, 07:20:38 PM
It is necessary to learn to do without gas. There are many options for this. Europe must switch to subsistence farming and the exchange of products. You can heat your house with firewood and give up factories. By doing this, you will improve the environment and be healthy. I think life itself pushes people to such a choice. You can stop washing your body and brush your teeth. Just don't use gas from Russia Wink
50  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: May 02, 2022, 07:13:31 PM
Currently the weather in my place is very hot, I still remember when 20 years ago I used to play in the field or outside the house from morning to evening and it was not hot, this is because more and more factories and vehicles emit pollution so that the air layer is damaged and occurs temperature increase.
global warming is what causes it, in almost all countries this has been in the spotlight but the government can't do anything because without factories operating and also moving vehicles it is impossible to stop global warming. if people say air pollution is causing environmental damage then i totally agree but if bitcoin mining is what they say is causing it then i think they are crazy.

I agree that global warming is to blame. The greenhouse effect is formed due to the burning of coal and oil. The resulting gases absorb a lot of solar heat and how we can eliminate it. All countries use oil and products made from oil. Mining is not used in such a large amount. I do not think that mining or cryptocurrency is bad for the environment. Now there are more serious problems for the environment.
51  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: May 02, 2022, 07:04:42 PM
Well I learned it the hard way, I was confident living with only investment so when things got bad I don't have any back up.
So now I am starting over again and I am not starting from nothing because of all of my experience and things that I learned from my mistake,
I hope I could make it back again and handle it nicely this time.

I wish you good luck! Starting over is always difficult. There is a fear that this time something might not work out too. You took into account your mistakes and gained experience, which is very good. Investments are not as easy as we think. Doing it right may not work on the first try. Sometimes you have to lose your money and it's sad, but I'm sure that you will succeed this time.
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: May 01, 2022, 07:52:04 PM
Now twitter is in full control of Elon musk, and I'm sure soon there will be a big surprise from twitter, and the thing that is very much awaited is about cryptocurrencies that will soon be present on the twitter menu for example the deposit and withdraw menu.

That's expected already.
Remember what he says before Twitter decided to sell it to him? He said, he is the only person that could make Twitter to add some extra ordinary feature. But, we also have to remember that Elon's actions are always on his favour.
Earning more money is his obsession.

A lot of money is very good! But what if there is too much money? Perhaps the person begins to think about other things. Maybe he wants to help someone and he has the ability to do it. I hope that after this purchase, Elon Musk will want to do something good for other people. Not all things are measured in money. I hope that's the way it is. I will wait for good news after this deal)
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it always about price? on: May 01, 2022, 07:39:50 PM
Of course price matters a lot! First of all, we will find out the price if we want to buy something. The price is made up of different components. And these components affect the final figure. Besides the price of a product plays a huge role in its purchase in any case and choice. First of all, it all starts with setting a price for something. So this is an important point.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hits USA on: May 01, 2022, 07:27:50 PM
I'm skeptical with the inflation numbers.  With my naked eye prices for the everyday things I buy have gone up significantly higher.  Will be interesting to see what the fed does next month when they meet.  Expecting a 50 point raise in the interest rates to help combat inflation.  Gonna kill mortgage rates, and stymy housing price rises.  Feeling very 2007-08.  Not that we have scammy lending practices but house prices can be upside down and foreclosure surging could happen just like it did.  Watching all this closely to see how it pans out.  Either way looks like we are gonna see some hard years ahead.
Inflation in the US is growing at alarming rates. We can blame the politicians for letting this happen. If only salaries went up, things would've been different. But rising prices without any increase in your pay, will only make you poorer in the long term. There's only one solution to this and that is Bitcoin.
I'd suggest anyone to invest some money into Bitcoin over time in order to reduce the negative effects of inflation. Bitcoin should've been worth a lot more in terms of Fiat (USD), but for some reason it isn't. Good things only comes to those who wait so I'm in no hurry of seeing higher prices on Bitcoin anytime soon. Just my opinion Smiley

What else can I say about inflation, it is becoming our daily companion. Recently such a bad situation, in the future there will be more hard times. In that case, investment is a good idea to keep yourself safe.

@Abiky, You have given a good solution. The problem is that not everyone can take the risk of investment. New method since Bitcoin. Yet most people are later in the era of gold and silver investment and feel comfortable in it.

Again, in many countries, it is not allowed to use Bitcoin. How will they invest with Bitcoin?

One more thing is that Gold can depreciate at any time if there is inflation, but Bitcoin is safe here.
But on the other hand, the price of gold and silver is always the same, profit is very low and time-dependent, whereas Bitcoin offers higher ROI in a short time. So in my opinion it is important to invest but in that case, you need to take the risk to know exactly which method you want to invest in.

Bitcoin is backed by nothing. I don't think he can save us in a time of high inflation. I still think the best investment is gold. No one has come up with an even more valuable material for saving money. To save money from inflation, you only need to convert part of it into bitcoins. Not the biggest part of your money. It must be money that we are not afraid to lose.
55  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: May 01, 2022, 07:17:06 PM
I don't think that nature or the environment is on anybodys mind in the government right now. The top politicians in most countries have a lot more pressing issues they try and focus on. The times where climate change and global warming was on the front page of newspapers is over. For the past two years the world only focuses on covid, now they focus on Russia-Ukraine war and the ecomic aftermath. Topics like national security and rising inflation are much more important for the reelection campaigns that saving the environment. It feels like that politicians still still don't take the topic serious, even if we can already notice the negative effects all around the world. In my opinion we should give more power to the scientist to save the environment, we can't keep living like this.
People in general do not understand the risks and consequences that take a lot of time to materialize, lets take smoking as an example, unless someone has been living under a rock they know that smoking is bad for your health, but since the effects can take decades to materialize people keep smoking thinking that nothing bad will happen to them until it does, environmental issues are the same, since it is difficult to see the consequences in their everyday lives then people simply do not think too much about it and they worry more about stuff it may have more immediate consequences on their lives.

Yes, these things are very similar. It is very difficult to assess the damage done to your body in case it is not visible right now. The same goes for environmental protection. The result of the money invested in environmental protection may not be immediately noticeable. And then a person can say - Oh! I don't feel the need to spend money on this! No result! In fact, the result will be visible very soon, but we do not want to wait...

Most people in government only think about the chairs they sit in, and how to stay in those chairs for as long as possible! Most governments think of climate change and ecology only on paper and while collecting votes, and in fact, nothing or very little is being done about it!
But they are not the only ones to blame, it could be said that by our "inaction" we are helping to keep the situation the same! Big changes are needed, but it seems that there is no readiness to start with big changes! In addition to readiness, we probably lack awareness! Worst of all is that the problem is growing from year to year, this is what we leave to future generations!

This is true! Many politicians only think about their purse. What problems will concern these people? They have only one problem - how to sit for a long time at their workplace. 57  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: April 30, 2022, 01:13:30 PM
Thinking of getting skill that will give you a better pay is what you need to think for yourself because you know what interest you most and only you can tell the nature of your kind skill you want, if should be a skill of hard work or less stressful.  But writing is a good skill too  one can think of . Their are also good skills that pays well and the world can't do without it, like computer programming, to me is a good skill one can learn and add to his/her profession.

It's true that only we ourselves are able to understand our interests and expertise, so try to ask ourselves what we are interested in. After that
study well what we are interested in until we really master it, if we master something we are interested in well, then this will open up opportunities
for us to get a job. So we can't generalize everyone to learn the same skills, it will not be effective and only make us become stressed.
For example, computer programming skills are needed by many companies, but not everyone likes it. So if we don't like it and insist on studying it,
I'm sure it will be difficult to understand and the results are also not good. Then learn the skills according to our respective interests, because it is
more effective in finding work.

Of course, there are times when an interesting thing can only be a hobby. This may be an occupation from which it is impossible to make a profit. You can only get pleasure from such a thing. Of course, working with pleasure is much more interesting. But we are interested in generating income and must think hard. I think people who profit from doing what they love are very happy.

I'm curious about this myself.

Manure is grass and plant life that has passed through a cows digestive tract. In theory it might be possible to harvest grass and process it through an acidic decompositional state similar to a cow's digestion to produce unlimited amounts of organic fertilizer. It is very easy to get nitrogen and carbon from compost and decomposing plant life. The more difficult to obtain nutrients are phosphorous and other elements more commonly associated with fertilizers...

snip

I don't even garden but got curious about this since I live on a nation of islands so I've always wondered what will happen to agriculture if every island got isolated from each other. You are right, nitrogen is easier to get and even possible when practicing organic farming by planting legumes. P and K, not so sure.

I know that seaweeds are used for fertilizer but I don't know what nutrients are in there. If commercial synthetic fertilizers became unavailable for some reason maybe seaweed harvesting would become a viable business. Maybe collecting guano as well. Countries would also probably start mining their mineral fertilizer deposits though that's unsustainable, as the fate of Nauru has shown.

In order to grow fruits and vegetables on an industrial scale, guano will not save us. This is suitable for a small garden in the village. To feed the inhabitants of a large city, large areas are needed. We need to have a lot of quality fertilizers and beetle pest control. You need to have good seeds. Only then will there be a big harvest.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: April 26, 2022, 07:14:57 PM
Hello everyone , I wanted to increase my monthly earnings and for that I know I need to have some skills.
Currently I do write articles, but not getting paid as I would like.
I am willing to learn some more skills so that I can get good paid freelance work here in this forum or any other freelance website.
Can you please guide me what should I learn.
Some options I thought digital marketing or take a course on blockchain.
Please give me some advice. I want to earn good money and for that I am ready to work hard and learn some good skills which would help me do so.

I think that the best thing in a job is to love your job. It doesn't really matter what you do. Maybe you are just a gardener. It is important to start doing something and then you can see the prospects for the development of this business. You can start with the simplest job and soon it can turn into a big business, there is only one condition - you must love this thing!
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill passed requiring drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill parents on: April 26, 2022, 07:06:35 PM
I think the penalty for killing people should be more severe than this so that people will never think of getting drunk and driving. The rich will likely not take the law seriously if all they will be charged for killing a human is money they can easily afford to pay.

How can one measure the grief of children at the loss of their parents? It cannot be measured by money or material things. Take away a driver's license from such a person? It won't be much of a punishment. Unfortunately, we cannot completely exclude cases of driving under the influence of alcohol. It is necessary to carry out preventive work among people. For a person to accept that he is committing a crime.
