 is was 5 days sumokoin no found any block hmmmm, so bad here this coin now is useless Dear devs can you please hurry up with the new difficulty algo cause I dont think the community can put up with these a..holes being happy that the coin is stuck We're very close to the final algorithm that is both theoretically and practically proven. I hope the hardfork could be out some time tomorrow. |

I have amount with pending status on cryptopia sent from pool, should i wait to mine or just keep going?
If you saw the pending amount, it means it will become unlocked when enough confirmations (I'm afraid that you'll have to wait a couple of days until hardfork completed). However, you money won't go anywhere, it's already recorded to blockchain. |

I didn't think about this ... just sent over 1..000 Sumo from Crypotia to my wallet. Will they be sent back so cryptopia, if they are stuck in the pool? Right, if you didn't see the amount in your wallet after 24hrs, it should be sent back to Cryptopia, and then if it didn't end at your account balance, pls call Cryptopia support. Well, the transaction was done more than 30h ago. Still no Sumo in my wallet and cryptopia said they can"t help me. What can I do now? It was a rather big ammount.... In this specific case, we can use dev fund to compensate you for the loss. Please send proof to contact@sumokoin.org (screenshots of your withdrawal transaction and Cryptopia support answer emails). Thanks! I'm really not an expert, but I guess cryptopia did not accept the sumo transferred directly from the pool, since they do not accept mining directly to the cryptopia accounts? E-Mail is sent. I've sent the case to Cryptopia support, they are investigating the issue. Now, exchange wallet has been put under maintenance to avoid similar issues. |

Guys, I know you are all somewhat anxious about current situation and progress of the hardfork. Here are some info: 1. Haruto has been creating a few patches to address the mutipool flash hashrate. Dev are actively discussing about it to find optimal solution that can both deal with this issue and not introduce another flaw. You can view the thread at Github: https://github.com/sumoprojects/sumokoin/pull/102. There is no certain date for hardfork yet bz we want to test new algorithm throughout before release it. After the final patch is approved and merged, we'll announce the exact block height and estimate time for hardfork. 3. The hardfork will not create anything chaotic, you may not even recognize when it happens, everything will be the same but the network difficulty (which expected to be downward significantly in short time) 4. I advice Bill not to release GUI wallet until hardfork completed and it still need to fix various UI/UX issues right now, so the release date would be delayed until the end of this month. Sorry for that due to unexpected events. how is different from Monero?
It doesnt have Monero's legacy and has adopted all the three years improvements that has been applied on Monero by various hard forks. Also it has a default minimum ringsize value of 12 increasing anonymity and protecting from blockchain-analysis attacks even more I think Dev should have more actions to change this diff because many people will not want to mine this coin with this high diff . This price is being down and it seems many investors sold this coin during the past. The latest codes to solve this issue are being tested on testnet, some adjustments will be needed but basically that works fine now. As you may all know, this will require a harkfork to implement so we will be able to activate it only after making sure Cryptopia updates it and it would be a few days after finalizing the fork. We targets next Monday as the soonest possible day for the fork begin, meanwhile, we don't pour hashrate to network to make diff getting lower, as you know, the attackers are just waiting for it. |

How on earth my deamon shows a global hashrate 483KH/sec at this moment and the official pool is running at 1.02 MH/s at the same time... Come on....
current Hash rate and difficulty always has to respond to an amount of blocks and a time period. So possible the 720 blocks mentioned which are likely as we only have ~530 blocks since people droped new hashrate above the average ~100KHs In this case the math can't compete with the fluctuation and you have the coin hopper and hashrate punsher problem. So this time we will be stuck a longer period if we behave like last time, something I already mentioned some time ago. Block 19565 net hash 1.25 MH/s, 19578 net hash 799.29 kH/s 20007 net hash 501.01 kH/s, 20158 net hash 468.59 kH/s -> 520 blocks most of them mined with 2MHs and above and still dropping^^ Just an update, it looks like we are already on the way. 20179 net hash 654.93 kH/s Actually it's interesting. Could recommend it for a student like "Human behavior with new technologies and profit within the crypto-currency miner scene."  Devs are considering some algos for re-targeting diff that can response to flash-hashrate in just a few blocks and make attackers little profit (however, as far as we know, none of them are perfect). We'll have to do a lot of tests, pushing it to testnet first and hardfork will come in a week or so. |

I am just so happy that I already invested some money in this coin and it's so weird how I did even find Sumocoin. Devs are active and keep us updated with their progress (a lot of devs don't even do that), people are friendly and helpful, In my opinion, coins like this usually get big. Market cap is so low right now and new, all I have to say is that I am so lucky that I did find SUMO. One thing I have problem with is, where I can find an invitation to slack?

What's the advantages of Sumokoin over Manero?
They will focus on stability, user-friendliness & they will probably have a distinct advantage in the Japanese market in particular. (Bitcoin adoption is growing rapidly in Japan, thanks to recent regulatory changes and may increase even more via retail acceptance https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2017-05-30/how-bitcoin-usage-may-rise-in-japan-video ) So if they could become the most popular privacy centric currency in Japan that could be very lucrative and a version of Monero that is stable and focuses on user friendliness could be very popular in all markets. How many coins at this price have 3 active devs? If they are really working on Sumokoin it has the potential to do very well imo. Thanks for your assessment. Japan market is a very conservative one and will take a lot of time to penetrate so we must be patient and consistent for years. All 3 devs are working part-time but that's not a problem bz all of us are passionate to make sth good. Bill is working mainly for GUI wallet while Haruto is a "forking" guy focusing on the core (like me but he can barely speak English). We hope more devs will join us as the coin growing. I think there may be a problem with the network, please try to run with log-level 2 to see if any hint: Some ppl reported that reducing "block-sync-size" could help in some cases, so pls try with: sumokoind --block-sync-size 20
