Do not do an ICO capped higher than 6 million USD! Seriously, even this is too much. All the ICOs that attempt to gather more or are uncapped fail below expectations. Do not be greedy!

you realise there are many ICOs that gathered more than 12mil USD within minutes of their ICO? and dont judge the ICO cap before reading the reasoning behind it.
for a big company it could be logical to gather 20+ or even 30+ given that they cant do another round of funding usually and are mostly none profit organizations

Yes, they did, but that's because they were capped!
When people see good project that is capped, they rush to buy it.
When they see good project that is not capped, they do not buy it.

So the devs will collect actually less money without capping the ICO than they would otherwise (best recent example is Wings).

I agree a cap is good, just saying 6mil is a low cap, i wouldnt mind if they capped at 20-30 at all

This is basically like uncapped ICO! If they indeed decide to pick that level you will see it will stop at about 5 million. I think 10-12 million is max that is reasonable.
i understand why you would feel that, but have you ran the numbers ever? like take into account, the percentage that they move to the reserve + % that goes to create tokens to make the network stronger... + salaries over time + cost of servers + growth and marketing... these companies get 1 shot of raising money, unlike startups in the real world where they can run a seed fund then round a round b and so forth... i belive that 20-30 for a big team with a decent roadmap while they let us monitor the money they use is not bad, but even a good sign. people who think they can run a company for years with 1-12 mil are not thinking straight.

Agreed with you this project is very promising so that I also believe it would get achieve the maximum cap so quickly more likely in just few hours after the launch of it's crowdsale. This year is much friendly for cryptocurrency related projects.

yup and not only their idea is solid, they already have a product which in itself is a new concept in ICOs not many had that + the team is great and even had a few "exits" in the past. its not a bunch of people who have an idea...

sig campaign offers too little. But it is indeed good project.

why do you think they offer too little? bounties usually go for 1% just like here

After reading a lot about Bancor it would seem that one of the biggest challenges is to simplify the messaging that allows people to understand what it is and the power behind it. e.g., avoid throwing up slides of mathematical formulas and terms many have never heard of (ETF).

1. What are your priorities (target markets) and development roadmap/deliverable s that match up with these priorities?
2. Do you have a plan that will grow your community e.g., press, meetups, events, etc.
3. What business development activities will lead to market penetration?  partnerships, promotion, etc.

Thanks

are you in their slack/telegram groups? i think they respond there much faster

Any bounty link Grin Grin

you can go to app.bancor.network this is their bounty website, you can also join slack on  https://bancor-slack-invite.herokuapp.com/

I tried to click the /start on the telegram and for some reason closed and and when I again try to give a /start it does not respond and show up any details? Can you we make it simple to post all of the bounty/contest over here?

you need to use the bot only if the website sends you to it, its not responsive otherwise, so go to the website and from there do what you want

Thanks, let me check and see if am able to succeed this time.By the way it is something different way of setting up things with a bot which I have never seen in any other campaign as of now.

yes i agree its very nice to see something different

they call their token "Hodls" lol are they serious?
seems like created by a fudster and sooner got serious. but sure make sense if you want to encourage the holders of these token to hodl while the dev wants   to dump. good luck to the team though.

what the hell are you talking about? where did you see hodl? lol

While I understand people that are concerned of uncapped or too highly capped ICOs, note that Bancor is a bit different than your regular ICO. More funds mean more reserves and more efficient work of the continuus liquidity mechanism.

ye i totally agree, this is like instant returns to the investors... a fixed % would go straight to the reserve and for the creation of more tokens for us to use. like token exchangers

the growth  BTC shows that all coin behave the same way be reduced to it, some more than others, so you need not just the distribution between the сoin, but also alternative investments to diversify and improve portfolio...the more they collect, the safer and better it is the created mechanism ...

you mean more money = more tokens and therefore a better system? if yes then i agree
