41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do most people consider most ICOs or Altcoins as scams on: June 06, 2017, 04:24:20 PM
Still a mystery to me... Sad
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want your valuable suggestions asap on: June 06, 2017, 04:20:21 PM
I'm still not convinced that mining is more profitable than just investing in good projects, even with low capital...
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Looking for ideas to invest on: June 05, 2017, 09:24:37 PM
I am looking for something new to invest early in, something that is like facebook but it is in its very early stage of development, something that got potential from your point of view, I am only looking for ideas, I will decide myself after reviewing the ideas here. Also I see so many websites which offers binary option , trading that offers you to buy google, facebook and apple stocks. Unfortunately there you do not own anything, they aren't yours for real. I am looking for a website where I can buy real apple stocks or real facebook stocks and me owning them with certificate of owner ship.

Like Facebook I don't know. But have a look at Matchpool (GUPPY)

Thank me later
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin A Bubble? Why many people are looking at this through the wrong lens on: June 05, 2017, 09:23:41 PM
Equity value is tied to a balance sheet of ______.

Currency value is tied to the balance sheet of a nation.

The USA being $20 trillion in debt can be a case for the US dollar being a bubble.

The european union being $12 trillion in debt can be a case for the euro being a bubble.

Currency bubbles do exist similar to equity bubbles.

That said he made a very good point about the unlikelihood of sellers outnumbering buyers due to many btc users being long term buy & hold.

Actually USD and EUR are not bubbles. They just have no value.

Or to be fair, paper money has value. The value of the paper and ink. So you can say that a 500€ bill has pratically the same value of a 5€ bill Smiley

And the worst thing is that this is actually true
45  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: June 05, 2017, 09:20:36 PM
Forget about everything else and just put everything on bitcoin. You are living with your parents, they pay everything for you, you got nothing to lose. If I was living with my parents, I would save everything and buy bitcoin monthly. If BTC doesn't keep rising you can still reach the 21 BTC holder group, then save this and retire in 10 years when the price makes you a millionaire.

Go all in on regret later. You are on a privileged position to profit from high risk high reward moves. No risk no win, and BTC is the best long term high risk bet.

Nope. Buy Ethereum Smiley
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins just another way of crowdfunding? on: June 05, 2017, 06:37:53 PM
Are altcoins just another way of crowdfunding? As an investor, this is my general view of most altcoins. I see it as more of an investment into business models that I feel will help shape our future as a society. What are your thoughts?

i see altcoin as the last resort, to acquire easily many bitcoin, before it's too late to get them, bitcoin will be more and more rare to get when the value will get higher, with altcoin you cna have now a very good return with a low investement, i also see them as the best investment now, with all of them growing at once, you can't go wrong lol

I disagree with you so much... in so many things... That I don't even know where to start
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins just another way of crowdfunding? on: June 05, 2017, 03:45:52 PM
I'm glad you opened this topic. I'm not an expert but I'm a bit scared when I see "legendary" and highly qualified members here talking about all alt coins like they are simply alternatives methods of payment... I think this very reductant and most important, I think this urgently needs to be discussed here.

And to answer you, yes, I think you are right, it is a new more transparent way for crowdfunding. But not only that, it is much better. Here's what I wrote yesterday answering another topic:

You can call them coins, but you can also call them tokens. Some of them are tokens of a specific new company with a specific new product developed with blockchain technology. You buy those tokens the same way you buy stocks, with a plus that those can be used within the company or traded for other tokens. Also they are scarce, with limited supply. There are numberous ways that blockchain can be implemented to make things cheapier and more efficient.

Hope I could help

I completely agree. I think most people come into altcoins as a fiat currency alternative like Bitcoin. Yet, if you really do some research about blockchains and smart contracts you'll realize that this technology has so much more potential than just a digital currency.

Just to add this information, some highly qualified members here are right when they say some alt coins are pure scams. And I think because they are here for a longer time than us they seen those scams more often. And maybe because of that they stoped believing.

My guess it that sometimes it's better to discover something in the right time, rather than discover something earlier than everyone else...

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Coins - where does their value come from? on: June 05, 2017, 12:33:13 AM
Bitcoin and simular coins for payments, I understand.

But for other coins, I can see the why the technology is useful, but how do the coins/tokens benefit of this?
For example Ripple, I see the value of the technology, so assuming all banks at some stage will use them. How is XRP benefitting of this?

Another example Golem, understand the technology of a global super computer. But how will the GNT benefit of global usage? Am sure I am missing something, thanks a lot for helping me out!

You will say the same next year but this time instead of BTC you will say "Altcoins"
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is so volatile right now! Why should I even hold? on: June 04, 2017, 12:25:38 PM
BTC volatile ? Don't go for alt coins then...

What's wrong with holding through volatility. If you really believe in a project, even if it goes to zero you shouldn't be worried...
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: June 04, 2017, 12:21:52 PM
As a store of value it is replacing it but the minute. Not only BTC, there are other currencies growing 100x faster

56  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: June 04, 2017, 12:05:06 PM
First of all there is evidence in both sides by specialists. Some say there is global warning, some say there isn't.

So that being said, you cannot really say with 100% accuracy that it is a problem.

Second global warming is used as an excuse to redistribute wealth. It's just one more tax you have to pay.

Third it is proven (and this really is) that the more technology and evolution the better for the environment. We are far from the Industrial Revolution by now, probably the time we destroyed our planet more

In free market countries (with less government) the water is cleaner and the air is less polluted. Check it for yourself

59  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: June 04, 2017, 12:03:42 AM
Fiat is already worthless. It's paper and digits. Nothing scarce backs it up. They can just keep printing, adding digits and debt.
What gives it value is everyone believing it has value.

But anyway, I don't think fiat will ever be worthless. I love crypto and I wish everyone would move most of their fiat funds to BTC or ETH or WAVES or any other alt coin. But I think it's important to keep fiat, at least the paper version, so we always have that option. It's very important for our privacy !
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: June 03, 2017, 11:54:15 PM
It surely reduces poverty !

That being said, it surely reduces unemployment.

If you have money, you can create your own job and create things people want/need. No need to be working for other people.
