404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about rumors that bitcoin is going to die? on: June 08, 2017, 09:40:52 AM
There's a website that counts whenever something like this is published: Bitcoin Obituaries:
Quote
Bitcoin has died 133 times

It also links all articles. The first one was in 2010, when Bitcoin was worth $0.23.

I've always heard Bitcoin will die especially when the congestion in the blockchain was at 200k+ and the threads from years ago saying bitcoin's gonna die like how many times does people have said that but as always bitcoin proves itself again and again that he is still alive and will live long.

The OP should have included in his post the links from Quora's talks so that we can analyze and their logic (if there's any) whether they have facts and proofs to support their prediction -- what made them think that it's going to die.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of chatbot you would like to see? on: June 02, 2017, 12:53:44 PM
I have talked with one developer and he can incorporate a whole exchange into a single chat bot. You will tell the bot whether you want to buy or sell btc and then will ask how would like to pay like Bank, Webmoney etc and you pay right away on it. There will be a escrow feature as well.

oh so not a chatbot for newb's to learn about bitcoin... but an exchange service.... like an non human/automated irc.bitcoin-otc

I can add learning tool in that same chatbot as well. I can educate the bot Smiley

I can tell that this is a nice project where you will not click there and click here a lot and the answers are delivered right im front of you.

Also a bot where you will somehow command it to do some work to you by just typing some words like AI but in chat type version. Interesting.
406  Economy / Economics / Re: The fluctuation in pricing.. on: May 31, 2017, 04:46:02 AM
is creating a wall that makes it harder for BTCto be a universal economic currency. Stores may take 1BTC for a product and in the AM that 1BTC could be valued at .08BTC. Obviously theres a ton of positives to this happening I think more than negatives. I for one hope it does though because USD is getting old Smiley

What are you trying to write, first you put up questions on the price fluctuations, then you show it could be bad business, then again you put its good. Look op price fluctuations happens due to demand and supply. Normally all transactions are done at a fixed rate, so if there a increase or decrease no one can help it. No risk no gain. USD is not that strong any more yes, currently due to trump policies it's weak, I expect Bitcoin to be strong as usual and continue for long. Keep buying at every dip that's the only way to work out this price fall.

As we know, bitcoin's supply is limited and it is capped and demand is continuously increasing. Hence, the price of bitcoin is dependent to the demand and we can't make it stabilize due to the fact that we can't increase the supply so we can say that the price will only stabilize when the demand stabilizes which is impossible. It is part of bitcoin, price fluctuations I mean that's why we just need to live with it and make profit from it.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: International Money Transfer on: May 31, 2017, 04:32:17 AM
Is bitcoin cheaper than other options for international money transfer? I have seen many agree with it and many dispute it, but not with hard numbers.

As other options are expressed in terms of a percentage (eg, 4% fees), this needs to be the comparison for bitcoin, at various amounts of money, despite that bitcoin transaction fees are apparently unrelated to the amount being sent. Let's also say for the sake of argument that a transfer within 24 hours is acceptable.
For now it seems like that but I think it could be so on because how many bitcoin you send, the transaction fee are same. it's different with bank, they will charge higher fee for it, if im not wrong.

Yep. In banks or any other money transfers both local and international charge fees base on the percentage of the amount of the money that you will send that varies from different countries and different money transfers. While in Bitcoin, the fees are constant which is suitable when you have a huge amount of money to send rather than small ones.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: May 28, 2017, 01:31:47 PM
I use the leading online wallet in my country. It is trusted and contained both local currency wallet and bitcoin wallet so you can exchange it anytime. I would like to add the benefits it has including the rebates when you purchase something using their wallet. Also you can use it to pay your bills through their wallet and receive an amount back like rebate.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: May 27, 2017, 01:20:06 PM
Bitcoin for me is a way to earn an extra income and help me with the expenses I have. This is a great opportunity that each of us should grab and I'm lucky to know bitcoin rather than know it too late. I am in the process of knowing more about bitcoin so I can earn great by this. With the things that I need to do bitcoin is very convenient in my situation.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 years ago... you could have earned almost $15,000 at today's value in 3 sec... on: May 27, 2017, 09:38:10 AM
This is great especially now that every bitcoin have gained a very considerable value. I wish I've known bitcoin sooner like any other who's been in the business for many years and counting. So this is a history that is good to look back on and now we should do our best to learn more especially new ones like me and save some amount of bitcoin which may double or triple or more in the next few years so that we would not regret missing this opportunity.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: May 26, 2017, 05:00:00 AM
Satoshi would never reveal himself because satoshi holds 1million bitcoin and it's value is equivalent to $2.5 billion dollars that's a lot of money if i were him i won't reveal myself to the world lol i can get killed easily because of bitcoin.

By that logic every billionaire should have already been killed. In reality rich people are well protected, and he could easily reveal himself and do a lot of things with that money both for personal pleasure and for his legacy. But in reality as soon as he reveals himself there would be a panic but he would probably promise not to release his coins so the price would stabilize again.
Satoshi not being revealing himself is a better choice to himself of course and to the entire Bitcoin community. Also choosing not to reveal yourself has its perks also like he don't need to waste his money hiring body guards to secure himself with those people having bad intents like what the rich people do. By this, he will not have too much restraints as whatever he will do and the Bitcoin community would stay as it is because the moment he will reveal himself, just like as you said, will promote panic which will greatly affect the Bitcoin itself.
412  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: May 26, 2017, 04:53:04 AM
^ Most idiotic comment ever

Why would anyone hold stuff which will fall?Huh?
It is a sure thing going that bitcoin prices will definitely go down? But the falling price is a reasonable cycle in bitcoin. And the price will definitely go back up because it's a cycle. So that's why we hold back
It's not a surprise if anyone will sell their bitcoins, they are just panic because they have a weak hands, lack of knowledge will
lead to that action and they will regret in the end once the price started to pump.
Smart traders makes money from dumb people, they tend to make fast and easy money without understanding the market
that's why they loss.
That's why you need to be knowledgeable enough so you will not end up losing the opportunity which really is a sad thing. Open up your hears and hear out the trusted ones then learn from them. You might as well use your eyes and view some articles that will help understand how the system works so you will not be ignorant and just go with the flow that is without knowing what is the right path to choose which you just go where others are. Be smart and wise in making decisions.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin even have a future? on: May 26, 2017, 04:45:05 AM
Now I think the future of bitcoin will get brighter as it has been 2 countries that legalize bitcoin into accepted currency. It is likely that more countries will legalize bitcoin

There are even more countries that are going to get higher demand of bitcoin. And if you believe that bitcoin doesn't have any future then you are just making yourself to get out of bitcoin. The future of bitcoin is really big because many are going to like when they will see the price of bitcoin pumping and flying up to the moon.

yeah bitcoin demand increasing too much faster and some country will be adopt bitcoin and like as Japan and then i hope bitcoin will be get more power and we know bitcoin will great currency of the future.

That is why bitcoin's price is skyrocketing again, travelling to the moon. Also because some countries invested to bitcoin already, and they see bitcoin as a currency, that is why I'm hoping that this price increasing will continue and will not go dump again.
It might go dump at some point but rest assured that it will rise and it is much higher than it was before. Bitcoin's price just can't be stopped this year together with the good news around it. The use of Bitcoin has been widely used and accepted by countries with a great economic power which will greatly affect Bitcoin. When it dumps all you need to do is buy then await the high rise of Bitcoin's price.
414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: May 26, 2017, 04:41:05 AM
bitcoin will rule the world of digital currency one day
it will be peoples first choice for online payments
and you will feel proud to be a part of bitcoin community

I strongly agree with bitcoin development from year to year is rapidly I believe bitcoin will last a long time and with the increase in people using bitcoin for online transactions with a variety of its simplicity and its features not impossible bitcoin digital currency will dominate
Well, the rapid development of bitcoin makes a lot of people interested. Within 7 years, bitcoin was able to reach the price of $ 2000 per bitcoin. I am sure, in the future this will continue to grow, and have a high price.

Rapid development? or the rapid increase in price? well, it may be the same but bitcoin is undeniably popular to investors these days. Many people are still thinking of investing in bitcoin, but the problem is, they are hesitating because of its price, well, no risk no profit.
Rapid development as well since the price will not increase if there is no such thing as development.
Remember that people buy due to good news they heard and they start speculating, that's how it is.
The price increase comes from how greatly the demand that is the users. User are increasing from across the globe with the free publicity made by media with the acceptance of countries with strong economical power which really supports and make the price even more logical than just any random price increase. Development should be made and like now that they say that SegWit would now activate which will push the price up even further but I'm not saying its not going to go dump in the process.
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy In The Dips Guys on: May 26, 2017, 12:46:34 AM
A friendly reminder to you all to buy in the dips.

Thank you for the advice and please don't forget that by the time all of us should buy into the dip as you suggested, then the price will be forced back up that might even be higher than the initial position we were earlier having in mind the forces of demand and supply which what I believe bitcoin relies upon.

You know it's a common thing to do to buy at dips especially if we are seeing that bitcoin price is expected to make another more price increase up to the point that we didn't imagined that is reachable based on the majority of speculations. The $1,000 weeks ago is a high price for us but now it's totally a cheap price and it will be the same with $2,000 and so on.

I don't easily believe in speculations but this kind of speculation of price increase have reasons to believe.

I agree. The price increase of Bitcoin has reasons backing it up. Good news which foster a global acceptance with one country after another that results to the increase in demand as well as the users and the price. The dips happening now would be big enough for people to buy what they can and be ready for the next pump which is much higher than it was and many can join in now because many of them missed out and sell right away not expecting that the prediction of $2000 would greatly exceed from it.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of Bitcoin on: May 25, 2017, 09:52:20 PM
that's ture when I first saw this crypto at 2010 it was around 120usd/btc I know that was cheap price at that time and soon gonna rise up(not knowing that it will rise this high) also at that time I was at 9th grade so I don't even have 1$ to spend on the internet so all I can do is watch others making money. and now after all these years I am still studying but I can finally make my own money.
If we take into account the beginning of the birth of bitcoin, then in general its price was a few cents. In the last 10 years, Bitcoin has evolved into a very large and strong crypto currency. Everyone knows that even $ 2,000 for Bitcoin today will not be the limit.
No one can really tell that Bitcoin is very great and it is a good thing that it is now realized by a lot of people that's why they are preparing by buying bitcoin and let it stay for years because they have seen its potential which should not be missed. It is not impossible that Bitcoin's price would increase by a few folds because we have seen it gone through a thousand folds than what it was from the past up to this moment.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: May 25, 2017, 04:55:55 AM
What do you like best about bitcoin? because bitcoin it has a transparent transaction, simple, practical, and exchange rate fluctuation. and many more that I like about bitcoin, bitcoin also enough to help my life in real life. thanks bitcoin.
Indeed, bitcoin is one of the best currency that i used so far because it is very helpful in terms of financial problems because it helps me to earn money faster than the usual and it provides a lot of opportunity to grow my money that already solved all of my financial problems. There is nothing to say for bitcoin but thank you for helping each serious bitcoin user in the world.
This is true for I myself treat Bitcoin as that. The conveniency to earn Bitcoin that I can do both with the things I do in real life and an extra income in  Bitcoin. When we talk about financial problems then I would like to thank Bitcoin for helping me deal with this. It such a good opportunity that should not be missed out.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: May 25, 2017, 04:44:35 AM
At the moment I can't realy save the bitcoins but I'm trying to change that and from my perspective saving is for the need, for the future not for fun. Fun is spending bitcoins.  Grin If the price continues to go that way bitcoin savings have the nice future.
I also save my bitcoin for the future. How not very potential future bitcoin I do not want to miss it. So I keep some bitcoins to store until the future

I agree with the ever increasing in price of bitcoin, we should be serious about saving it for our future.  I save bitcoin not for fun because it would be a waste of opportunity if I save it for fun and spend it on entertaining myself on different things that is not important.
Yeah people using the Bitcoin should consider it a serious asset for the future as it is slowly and gradually converting to an asset rather that to be used as a digital currency. The increase that we see in the price since the previous five months is enough for someone to understand the future value of the BTC.

Though as for me, I'm having fun while saving Bitcoin seeing that I have saved a lot and continue to add more together with the value of Bitcoin increasing. It is true that this should be taken seriously especially now and the past years we can see the increse significance and how it will greatly affect our lives.
419  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: May 23, 2017, 04:02:15 PM
For my perspective, trading requires taking more risk rather than investment. More risk more gain.
If you are able to take a risk then trading must be preferable to investment.

trading is a form of investment in altcoins. you need to have a good capital and a lot of research on what altcoin you are investing on to be successful. so I think it either of them is good. it may just take more time if you're going to invest outside altcoins.
Agreed, trading is a form of investment on altcoins. Capital is a must for trading, and for investment too good capital is required. One thing make the difference between trading and investing is the continued work done. For trading time need to be spent on analysing coins for investment and for making buy and sell orders. With investment property coin is analysed and invested, which gives profit after years. No need to do any work in between.
That depends on you whether you are willing to check the pumping and dumping in trading from time to time or you don't have the energy then you can go for investment. Still as for me I choose trading especially experienced ones which you can gain a substantial amount but you need to bring patience and courage with you.
420  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: May 23, 2017, 03:55:22 PM
Going all in in bitcoin and rely on parents? lol never put your egg in one basket, never invest or going all in into one thing. Yes bitcoin is good but if somehow bad thing happen, then what? you lose all your asset and will keep relying to your parent? and how much this young people could spare for bitcoin?

They don't really have to buy Bitcoin but rather earn it like here -- posting. But also it is good to buy Bitcoin and await for the rise of its price though it is not needed to go all in actually but rather than a portion since you have other expenses. You can spare some money for fun and save some of it in Bitcoin. That I think is a win-win situation for them and a wise enough decision.
