401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a religion on: December 04, 2018, 09:18:18 PM
Read the Bitcoin "investors" in this forum and you always see them say the same: "I believe..."

- I believe Bitcoin will go up
- I believe HODL is good
- I believe we will see adoption
- I believe it will go to the moon

and so and...and so on.... and so on

You have no understanding - only belief

Therefore Bitcoin for many people in here is a religion - it is about belief and not about facts and understanding

And religion is an extremely poor investment strategy
I will admit that I make that mistake from time to time as well, instead of showing the evidence of why I think bitcoin will go up in price or why I think a particular positive scenario is going to play out in the future for bitcoin I use expressions like the ones that you mentioned but that is because sometimes I forget that there are many people that do not share the same views that I have.
402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Need To Put Your Emotion in Trading ? on: December 04, 2018, 09:12:47 PM
Of course yes! We need also to react base on our emotion but not all times and not exaggerated. Sometimes, we react on a situation based upon our experience. That is how we use our Emotional Quotient. If you experience in a trap before then you will not hessitate to do the different situation unless you have the risk or you have second plan whenever your execution fails
But that is precisely the problem with using your emotions when you are trading how do you know that you are using your emotions in the right way and that you are not overreacting to what's happening in the market? This is why one of the most common advices is to leave your emotions behind you because that way the way you trade is going to be a lot more predictable.
403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: November 28, 2018, 10:51:47 PM
Bitcoin and the blockchain have been presented as the future for a decade now, and it turned many of those who found out about it early into millionaires.  Some rank these two as the greatest inventions of this century: cryptocurrencies, of which Bitcoin is only one, and blockchain, the record-keeping technology that underpins it. Is the prediction of bitcoin's strong future coming true within the next few years? Is it too late to have a chance in getting wealthy through Bitcoin?
You are not too late if you want to get wealthy through bitcoin, but you need to understand that it is way harder now to achieve that goal than it was back in the past, now you need to be willing to put a lot of time and effort just to get one bitcoin, but in my opinion it is completely worth it because most of the coins that are in the market are going to disappear in just a few years.
now it is the hardest moment to be able to get rich with bitcoin quickly, but if you try to work hard and enjoy the process I think it will be easy to happen wealth and maybe you can get it. believe me bitcoin will be in the best position.
It is hard to make money with bitcoin but it is not impossible and even if it is difficult at some point people need to begin their journey, if they try to do it when we are in the middle of a bull market they will be unable to take advantage of the opportunities that the market gives to them due to their inexperience or simply because they will lack the money to buy bitcoin at that moment.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This bloodbath shows that more than 95% altcoin holders were just speculators on: November 28, 2018, 10:47:05 PM
If it's untrue then how all are in free fall?

No distinction of currency coins, privacy coins, tokens, blockchains, protocols, utilities etc.

All are falling.

No doubt what you are saying is true, but we investors are governed by our emotions we are swayed by the majority actions and decision, if there are fuds we tend to believe that it's the end it's like a domino effect even if we still want to continue it's time for us to chance our mindset.
If that is the case then investors need to find a way to strengthen their will, it is true that sometimes FUD can be very strong but it is nothing compared to the potential that cryptocurrencies have to change the world, this is why despite the FUD I am still holding my coins because I know that sooner or later the price will recover because the adoption of most coins will go up as the people realize their incredible potential.
405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: November 28, 2018, 10:39:48 PM
I’m a newbie in trading. I want to improve my trading skills. I have heard some experienced trader said that I should learn and read more before start, and also get some experience. Trading requires a lot of patience and hard work, learn about the way to analyze the price chart, when they can be able to analyze price chart they will know the best time to buy and sell and know which one is the best coin to trade…
I tried one but I falied. There is something I don’t know? Please tell me more.

Failing or losing is part of learning and in that way, you would grow if you would just learn from what you did and think of ways on how you can improve it. All of us are newbies and then those who persevere eventually succeed because they don't easily give up and would continue to strive hard. Every time they would fail, they would come back stronger. You learn by watching videos, by reading or if you are really serious in doing this professionally in the future then it would be better to have a mentor because your learning curve would be lessened.

If we fail, then we should recover what has been lost and I am pretty sure that it's the best ways to deal with our failures. However it made us strong most of the time, so it provides us more experience and knowledge.
If things were that easy then no one will ever lose money in the market because they will recover it immediately, when you lose money you need to see if you made a mistake, if you did it then you need to correct the source of that mistake, but if you did not and you still lost money there is nothing to worry about because even the most profitable system losses money from time to time.
406  Economy / Speculation / Re: Decline until the end of the year? on: November 28, 2018, 10:33:57 PM
Friends, the market capitalization suffers from huge losses, do you think the "Great Depression" of cryptocurrency will last for a long time? Will you do something until the end of the year, or you wait for growth the next year staying with your portfolios on hold?
For a long time I have thought the bear market will last for a longer amount of time than the majority speculated and I am not very happy to find out that I am probably right, there are some traders and investors trying to find opportunities to make money despite the difficulty that has but to me that is a waste of time since it is almost impossible to make money when almost all the market goes down, so for the time being I will hold my coins.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto capable of making the world go digital? on: November 28, 2018, 10:26:20 PM
The world is already turned into digital ever since the discovery of the internet and alot of online payments were already introduced in the past before the existence of cryptocurrency  . so the short answer to your question would be no because no matter how technology evolve's , people will still continue to value the traditional currencies because that symbolizes the country and their cultcure .
This is not true, there are some countries in which their population has given up on the currency printed by their government, a currency is just a way to exchange value among two people and if the governments cannot create a decent currency that people can use people are going to use other currencies despite their love for their country, we have seen that in the past and we will see it in the future as well.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a cryptocurrency now? on: November 27, 2018, 11:25:49 PM
I think it is really hard to earn a cryptocurrency now, the market is going down, everything is so difficult.
If you are only seeing how to generate short term profits then you are right but if you are concentrated on getting long term profits then this could be one of the easiest moments to make money in this market since you can get almost all the coins that you can imagine for an amazing price, if you buy bitcoin now and you hold it for a few years I am sure the chances that you will make profits are close to 100%.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you most interested in learning about? on: November 27, 2018, 11:22:27 PM
In the world of bitcoin, I wanted to see what people are most interested in learning about. Here we have presented a few options to get a better feel for the community here on BitcoinTalk. Please select which topic you would like to learn more about as we continue to develop bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
You left out of your poll the thing that interest me the most which is how to secure my coins effectively, I have taken what I consider the right steps to do that but the hackers have an unlimited imagination and time to try to figure out a way to get to your coins, and the problem with cryptocurrencies is that you only need to make a mistake once and you can lose everything.
410  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain technology is not a trend on: November 27, 2018, 11:12:36 PM
I think you must not understand the blockchain. Blockchain must be a new great technological revolution for mankind. Just as the Internet did not appear, many people did not know the Internet. Blockchain is the best discovery of the 21st century.
Cryptocurrencies share many aspects with the internet, the internet is a very complex network and if you tried to explain the Internet a few decades ago to the people they will believe that you were crazy, but now the Internet is everywhere and no one thinks about its technical aspects they only care about what they can do with it, and something similar will happen with cryptocurrencies, what happens is that we are a few decades too early for that to happen.
411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It’s very easy to trade Bitcoin on: November 27, 2018, 10:57:39 PM
Say it's very easy to invest no more need detail to buy some bitcoin in the market unless you have money to bought but once the market has crash your funds investment will affected on it.
Yeah it is very easy but for those who knows the crypto market. If you have the capability to catch the market ups and down and its reasons then you can trade easily and will be a very successful trader. If you don’t have enough knowledge then crypto trading is one of the tough jobs in the world. It is easy for some people but also difficult for many people. Be careful while trading and don’t take it easy.

If somebody thinks that trading is easy, it means that he is not a good trader. This is a very serious business that needs much time, patience, knowledge and good nervous system.
Exactly, on the surface trading may seem easy since it seems the only thing you need to do is to buy a coin for cheap and then sell it for an higher price, but those that really take the time to study the markets and the different ways to trade very soon understand that it is not as easy as it seems and soon realize that it is one of the hardest things they have ever done in their lives.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all honesty, who still wants bitcoin to die? on: November 27, 2018, 10:44:28 PM
Before this plunge, a lot of people spreading FUD about bitcoin and how they want bitcoin to die and how obsolete bitcoin is. People saying  that this alt or that alt will replace bitcoin and that bitcoin is no longer King of crypto. Now, looking at CMC, as bitcoin values going down so are ALL altcoins. No shitcoins...I mean altcoins able to get through what's happening in the market not even BCH, XRP, XLM or any other alts able to get pass through the bear market. This is just a proof that all alts value depends on bitcoin value and  the influence of bitcoin to the whole crypto market. I'm very sure before bitcoin value turn to zero all alts turns to dust just like when Thanus snap his fingers and dusting happened.

So tell me, with all honesty, do you still wants bitcoin to die?

There are still many people that want bitcoin to die, especially governments, institutions that depend on public funding and banks as well, but all of those that wished for the death of bitcoin so their coin could take its place are probably regretting that they wished for that, because it cannot be any clearer that this market belongs to bitcoin and to no other coin.
413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 4000$? on: November 23, 2018, 04:22:11 AM
Howdy folks
it's really clear for all of us that btc is going to 4000 usd levels, how's your portfolio right now?
what plans you're going to follow?

The possibility that bitcoin reaches that price is very real, most of my portfolio consists of bitcoin and I have decided to do nothing for the time being because it is very likely that if I try to get in and out of the market at the right time I'm probably going to lose even more money than what I'm losing right now because I'm not that skilled when it comes to trading so for now I'm just holding my coins.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: buy Altcoins on this time ??? on: November 23, 2018, 04:18:17 AM
I see the market is gradually recovering. Is this the right time to buy Altcoins. Let me see your ideas
If you had asked me a few weeks ago I would had answer that it was a perfect moment to buy altcoins and that you will not go wrong if you did that, and then the market crashed even further and now it is obvious that if you want to buy altcoins you are doing it under your own risk because there is no guarantee that many of those altcoins that went down in price will recover.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the death of Bitcoin also mean the death of cryptomania?? on: November 23, 2018, 04:06:23 AM
If bitcoin disappeared I have very strong reasons to believe that the whole market will disappear, maybe a few coins will remain with very low market caps but it's likely that there will never be an interest as great as there is right now in the technology if that were to happen, fortunately for us the chances that bitcoin disappears are very low so that is something that should not worry you.
416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your predictions for 2019 on: November 23, 2018, 03:54:17 AM
Hi, friends! Many experts agree that blockchain and cryptocurrency will develop with even greater speed and integrate not only in the financial sector, but also in other public spheres, it will strengthen and increase the market, despite the current recession, the jump upwards is obviously still ahead.
What do you think, your forecast, what events are waiting for us next year? Will it  be reallysuccessful for the market, or will it cheat on us?
It is not easy to know what will happen in 2019 especially when this year has been so bad, there is a very real possibility that the next year is not going to be that much different and that is going to scare a lot people away from this market regardless of any advancement in technology of cryptocurrencies, this can be good or bad depending on your perspective, it can be good if you have money to buy cryptocurrencies but if you don't then it is going to be a difficult year.
417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be a newbie trader. I avoided losing money. how? on: November 23, 2018, 01:44:22 AM
Probably the easiest way to avoid losing money as a newbie when you want to begin to trade is to avoid day trading, I see many newbies trying to day trade without understanding that you need to be exceptionally good to make any profits that way, at first it is better to make some trades that last for a few days that way you get to know the platform of your choice and the way the markets that you want to trade can move during certain hours.
better to practise with small amount in our first investment.we could take important lesson from market movement.and reevaluate to our analisys , is it already right or not.
I disagree, as a newbie you should not day trade it is that simple it doesn't matter how much money you are using you are never going to become successful as a newbie if you day trade, in theory it is very easy to make money in the market but you just need to ask to all the people that were trading how much money they are making in the last week and you will realize that trading is a lot harder than what you think.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you worried about? on: November 21, 2018, 09:57:17 PM
I do not have any fear that the price of bitcoin will go to zero, maybe I am blinded by my faith in bitcoin but to me that scenario is impossible, what I'm worried is how much time it is going to take to bitcoin to recover from this bear market? That is what I'm worried about because I do not know if I will have to hold my coins for a few more months or maybe for many more years.
419  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1000 to spare each month, how would you invest it? on: November 21, 2018, 09:53:30 PM
Hey,

Looking to get some ideas from people so let me begin by explaining my situation:

- I initially invested around $3000 just over a year ago in crypto, which is now currently worth about $1000 (2/3rd loss). I've written this off/left it and am a firm believer the market will one day recover, be it short or long term.
- I then stopped investing early this year.
- I now have opportunity to save/invest $1000 each month (after all my bills and everything are paid for).
- I have $5000 saved in cash as emergency in case I need it.

How would you invest the $1000? Or would you just save it all, or only invest a bit of it each month based on market behaviour? What coins are good to look into investing slowly, with the belief they'll give the best returns if the market properly goes into a bull run?
The strategy that I would use if I were in your shoes is that I will save that money and I will wait until the market crashed and gave me the opportunity to buy coins for a very low price, as you may guess if I had that kind of money I will choose this very moment to invest in the market, probably I will choose to invest in ethereum because for what I can see it is the coin that has crashed the most among the top coins.
420  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Need To Put Your Emotion in Trading ? on: November 21, 2018, 09:43:59 PM
Sometimes it's very difficult to put aside your emotions when trading. But in the real sense, applying emotions in trading is the easiest way for one to lose everything. Emotions will always push you to want gain more and in that process, you will find yourself losing everything profit you have worked for. Don't apply emotions when trading.
Without a doubt it is very difficult to leave your emotions behind when you are a trader but it's something that must be done, there are so many examples of people trading with their emotions and then losing all their money by doing it that there are many books that make some of their first lessons to try to make you to control your emotions, that should show you how important it is.
