401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚨🔥 Bancor has now burned over 1M $vBNT 🔥🚨 on: August 29, 2021, 06:36:14 PM
🌪 That's over 1M $BNT removed from circulation!

https://twitter.com/Bancor/status/1431987315363262468
Great but Bancor need a few more alternative route to make the coin become more valuable. Looking for more partners to accept Bancor? Listing on big centralized exchanges? Burn more coin over time is good but Bancor can do more than that.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: August 29, 2021, 06:00:51 PM
Ethereum was the king from the beginning. It has a lot of things unique on its own that mark itself special. Remember all the altcoin that's used to be in the top 10 and even ahead of Ethereum? They're either gone or fall back to behind of Ethereum as today. Now it isn't about 'king of altcoins', it was about consolidating power for Ethereum, to do something that other altcoins will follow suit.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buying NFT on: August 29, 2021, 05:24:01 PM
It's just NFT hype. I am still out of NFT buying but i am not against of NFT. The art work lovers also loves NFT and they want to collect unique piece of art which is from NFT using cryptocurrency. Many people consider NFT is the future of cryptocurrency. But i am not accustomed to NFT hype.
Supply and demand were there and like I said, it was just another form of people want to invest early in artworks or artists and claim the ownership. You don't need to accustomed to NFT hype. Just follow the trail of money and find some really good pieces of art and investing in.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buying NFT on: August 28, 2021, 06:58:55 PM
NFT for artworks is sort of how artworks are in real life. Basically, people view and judge those art pieces like how arts are being appreciated by the eyes of the beholder. Some think a few certain artists will going far in the future so they hoarding artworks from that artist in NFT as an investment. You know how artworks from a long-dead artist sold for a ridiculous amount, right?
405  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin = 100k by December on: August 28, 2021, 06:06:26 PM
Though I've high hope for BTC, I think it will need more time before comes to $100k by December. We saw how BTC got its shot when all the popular brands and companies mention it to be use as a payment but after that, BTC lost the public's interest, and price going downhill before comeback right now. It clearly shows the mass still need more time before actually took BTC seriously. Any attempt to overhype it like those brands and companies did aint sustainable in long term.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 28, 2021, 05:01:59 PM
With more crypto success, base on ETH smart contract and ETH price increase. This going to be quite stagnant for ETH network and will be a burden for ETH users just to send a simple transaction. I fear ETH will lose its unity and usefulness if this keeps ongoing.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoping to see a bitcointalk token sooner on: August 28, 2021, 04:42:05 PM
Most long time posters or mods in this site must have a fortune already so there is no motivation for them to create a bitcointalk token. The only one want to create it for profit is new users which I don't think they have any reputation to call people to invest in their coin.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is not a rival of Bitcoin on: August 28, 2021, 10:07:25 AM
It is not a Bitcoin rival. It is difficult for any coin to compete with Bitcoin. Ethereum is indeed the best coin but cannot compete with Bitcoin from many factors it is still far behind. Ethereum matches and deserves to compete with the Binance coin in terms of price, network and other features it has.

In terms of usefullness ethereum is much more useful than bitcoin, bitcoin marketcap is really high because mostly major investors are holding their assets into bitcoin and bitcoin is purely an investing coin, there are just few people doing transaction with bitcoin because other coin's fee is cheaper and the transaction speed it faster just like ETH if we compare it bitcoin.
But bitcoin name is already big, that's why people are saving their assets into bitcoin and make the marketcap of bitcoin is the highest right now
Bitcoin becomes less useful for transactions the more its price increase. Thinking it like gold and all the hassle to transport it and Bitcoin now is almost the same. People now hoarding Bitcoin instead of using it for payment which what most cryptocurrencies aim for. This is what makes Ethereum stand out more than Bitcoin in my thinking, its usefulness in a daily day, in a booming market with a lot of transactions ongoing. Ethereum doesn't to become a rival of Bitcoin and that's actually a good thing.

410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the crypto industry is running by shills on: May 30, 2021, 02:09:04 PM
I agree with you there are many lousy coins out there infested with shills. There is various type of shills, those did it for their own monetary gain aka cunts have a big bag in said coin and just want to shill it. Then there are shills that on payroll from dev of that coin which is the type I hate most.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My portfolio on: September 06, 2020, 09:09:22 PM
I have 60% bitcoin
10% Link
13% Neo
7% Kucoin Shares
10% other coins—- Omg, Algo, Band, knc, Zrx, Atom, TLR, Shift

How does it look? What is missing except Ethereum?

Except ETH which very obvious, nothing seemed wrong with your portfolio. If you want to improve and diversity your bag even more, I have a few suggestions
You should buy ETH when it going low again. Replace Kucoin to BNB because it is much better for both using it for a lower fee as well as to invest.

Also, have a percent of your bag in USDT like this guy saying if you miss a chance to sell your bag at good price but still need when there were some coins got dump and you want to buy it.
I would add 20% of USDT, in case of a strong dump, so that you can buy more, you should always be able to buy.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: September 06, 2020, 08:01:23 PM
As the cryptocurrency community, I must be optimistic that someday crypto can be more valuable than gold.
Even we're from the cryptocurrency community, be optimistic about something that can't happen is a bit unrealistic. Gold is vastly different than crypto. If there are the gold-backed token that still requires real gold to function properly then you can already see the difference of gold and crypto.

But in the next few years, I am sure many people will realize that crypto is more valuable than gold.
I think crypto still has a long way to goes and it doesn't need to be the next gold or have more valuable than gold next in the next few years. What many people need to realize that crypto will change the way of how currency work, gold, and fiat will be outdated in the future.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] IDENA - Signature Campaign [Weekly Payment - Limited] on: September 06, 2020, 07:11:05 PM
I agree with many others here. Please have a very high requirement on social media campaigns if you, well, have to do it (although in my opinion, against it). At least, making the allocation fund for social media much lower and less likely to impact to the other ongoing campaign. The price to get an account with a high number of followers on twitter is very cheap so please consider that as well.
The social media bounty must be improved, either with high requirements or with a low budget allocation.
In addition, restrictions on the number of participants must also be used.
Glad to see we agree on how social media bounty should process. Yeah, limit the number of participants also help too. In a short amount of time for participants to fill in slots for social media, multi-account will have to enroll as many of their alts as possible which easier for us to spot them out. Meaning any real users will fare better against them.
Make me remember how I used to participate in some airdrop on twitter. They announced the time to fill in the form for the airdrop to everyone beforehand so it was very quicky to be full. Most alts can only get a few slots since there only one or two behind many alts to fill the form while there are many real users, each with just one.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit scam ? Trade lost money on: September 05, 2020, 09:30:56 PM
I 'm Trade lost money, lose pennies, send support tickets, not an answer.
I'm so disappointed. I will never go back to it.
Here I warn those who trade on it.
Youbit already declared as a scam exchange, many years ago. But there are some people who dont have enough analysis, become the victim of this exchange. Cause their fake fame, fake reputational article about them makes people do believe on them (youbit)
I may know their reason why they still use yobit exchange site. Some people aware about this but they still using yobit caused by they have no choice. sometimes yobit is the only exchange site that has listed their coin and that makes them all have no choice instead of trade their token on the yobit exchange site.
This only works for back then when there are not many exchanges or one with low fees that reasonable for a new coin. Today, there's plenty of exchange with a very good reputation and not a cutthroat list fee. New coins has many offers to list their coin so Yobit doesn't relevant anymore. All for the best so people won't become victims of their bad practice.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] IDENA - Signature Campaign [Weekly Payment - Limited] on: September 05, 2020, 07:35:56 PM
soon will be announce Smiley

The problem with social media campaign is the fact that 5k+ twitter/facebook account is something that takes no more than few days/weeks to get thanks to services like "free twitter followers" or "fallow for a fallow" or "2000+ followers for 5$". Accounts like that has 0 value in marketing. Its a lot of work to filter out those scammers.

Even services like https://www.twitteraudit.com/ does not help.

@bitvalak I hope you will give your best ... but it won't be easy. Last thing i would like to see is spending precious IDENA coins on scammers.
Yes, I understand about that, at least I will make a rule that is different from the one that has existed so far.
Due to the weakness of social media, so far it has been used very often as a gap to play multi accounts.
I will give high requirements, considering that IDENA is the pioneer of proof of human blockchain.
Indeed, this is not an easy job, but I will do my best to make marketing on social media run effectively and still be a win-win solution for IDENA and bounty participants.

416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: September 05, 2020, 07:28:34 PM
This is what happens when you buy shitcoins/altcoins without doing proper research about them. It is totally you fault that you bought this token. I would never by an altcoin which is listed only on one exchanger. Becuase it has huge risk. If that exchanger goes off or they delist the token my token value will come to zero. This is what happened with you. So,from next time do some proper research before buying any shit coin.
Worst, people invest in coins that didn't even list on any exchange at all because they thought the price was better when it still, hmm how I put it, 'underground'? Making an investment is very hard and don't gamble too much into a coin that only listed at one shitty exchange that could go out or order at any moment. To OP, you should really move on and don't pay attention to that no value coin anymore.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: September 04, 2020, 07:34:52 PM
Im a newbie and i have been sticking to the known coins. I dont think ill be able to dive into the lesser known coins very soon. Im not confident enough on investing to new stuff tho ive been doing my research on some projects.
people would think like that. however, I also had the same thought. it's just that, I'm more confident about the coins I hold. however, I still choose safe coins or tokens that are in the top altcoin line. i feel it's much safer than doing research on new coins.
This is fine if you had a diversify bag. But if you only have less than 5 top altcoins in your bag then it isn't good to sit too comfortable on a few coins only. Sure it takes more time and effort to research on new coins but it helps you diversify your bag. Newbies are safer with top altcoins but don't stay too comfortable and forget about diversify your bag.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: September 04, 2020, 06:55:16 PM
I have been hearing some talks about this project and it seems many people find the project interesting and worthy of investment, am amazed at the success of the project, i think this can be a good long term investment, who knows what the price will be by 2021.
Checkout the Coinmarket Cap right now as Polkadot is enter into a top 5 coin. In the meantime investors and traders turn into double/triple or much more their money with Polkadot. Maybe Its the hype that driving price up but who cares if it can double your money.

That's serious why this market now in a bearish trend. When everyone only cares about coins that got an insane pump and invest in it, think they will make a quick buck from it. It was the YFI and now this Polkadot coming out of nowhere and at the top of CMC really makes this market become even more volatile and unstable as it already loath with it.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Y series trends... What do you think? on: September 03, 2020, 05:57:35 PM
Any project that doing this kind of thing, uncreative creating their name similar to a popular coin is likely to be a scam. Don't blindly look at the chart with pumps and grows and forget about the basic step when investing. That's learning about projects you want to invest in. I think many people just got blind by those pumps and overlook the basics.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is not easy to make money in cryptocurrency on: September 03, 2020, 05:52:18 PM
In crypto, there is a lot of projects that tried to catch people's attention by having a high *estimate* reward. Of course, you shouldn't trust anything being estimated on crypto so don't be lured by such a high amount for reward but only for doing some simple stuff. It was never easy to make money in crypto.
