over 10mil netcoins got dumped today on bter whats up with tht?
the market is stagnant and the network is very weak. This coin took a beating very early after the 1st btc bubble because the dev pump dumped millions. Not saying its not a good coin but it's been struggling for a while now. I remember the good old days when I use to mine 60k/day and sold everyone of them for litecoin. I prolly should have held but ohh well

Peercoin is the only crypto-community that reminds me of bitcoin back in the old days.
It's innovative and the community really believe in the technology. Even the forum discussion are technical, not the usual "how much money are we gonna make? threads.
Peercoin will be the breakout coin of 2014 in my opinion.
this made my day. A community tht isn't always talking about how rich they are going to be. Its nice to here tht, all I here in this thread is how rich this alt will make you invest now or you'll be sorry. xxxcoin to the moon blah blah blah. I always thought PPC was the best even over BTC, the only thing tht I don't get is the # of coin creation and how tht might affect the price
I think BTC, PPC, NET, LTC in tht order! ha

Many of you have likely heard about this by now, but here's to an official announce... You can now create your own alt with just a few clicks and a small payment to cover the server costs of a honking compiler server. Just go to http://coingen.io/ (thanks to mappum for the domain), fill out the form, and have fun with your new coin! Is their pow/pos alt clone like Nova they're going to put up I noticed tht they are only generating scrypt and sha256

Hey, since im in this forum section obviously i'm new, but I have been reading the forum and the wiki for a while. I currently don't own a gpu unfortunately, as far as my research pointed me, LTC and NVC seemed to be the only ones where cpu mining could still be viable due to them using scrypt instead of sha-256, so I decided to try mining NVC. My i3 processor with 4 cores mining with pooler-cpuminer 2.2.3 peaks at 12KH/s, the pool i'm mining in has 486 people mining at a total of 650MH/s, or an average of 1.45MH/s per user. So my mining capacity is 0,8% of the pool average, which makes me think that LTC and NVC did not succeed in being GPU-resistant in a meaningful way since my cpu mining power is so weak. So, my question is, is there any other altcoin that took the concept of gpu-resistant mining further for me to try? Or is there a different setup that if I tried could bring massive improvement in my cpu mining?
sorry bro but your cpu wouldn't even put a dent the size of an electron in the network. You need better equipment. Some ppl here have spent over $70k U.S. dollars on gpu's to mine ltc and nvc

I avg 630kh/s on my 7950's stable. I took these to the highest value until the crashed and then moved it 5 points back from crashing
