401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: October 23, 2020, 05:37:56 PM
I totally agree with you, it's best newbies stick to reputable/top altcoins rather than investing in any shitty project, but at the same time not all top altcoins are serious e.g. BSV, BCH and XRP, xrp on the other hand is becoming a stable coin for over a year now no major move its just stagnant, altcoins like this should be a no go area for newbies, because they aren't serious at all, and when it comes down to investing, we should always do a proper research about the project before investing our money in it.

402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: October 23, 2020, 08:33:10 AM
This is some nice piece of information here, good one infact, fomo and greed has always been the major problem for everyone, it made so many people including me lose huge amount of money back then in 2017,greed is the deadliest, I remember back then in 2017 when everything was booming, I invested in a project with about $1000 when the token got listed it skyrocketed and i was on a $7000 profit already, I was supposed to have sold it, but I was greedily waiting for it to rise up to $10,000 so I can dump the coins, suddenly everything came down crashing and I lost about 80% of that profits, I was able to come out with just $1400, I learnt alot from it since then.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is doing it on: October 23, 2020, 07:57:53 AM
Wow, this is indeed a great news to all crypto enthusiast, one of the world biggest payment system finally accepts crypto, wow "bitcoin is turning doubters into believers", I thought this was never gonna happen, but well here we are now, I like the fact that  bitcoin will now be available to everyone wherever PayPal payment works, another great step towards world adoption, more companies just keep embracing the future  Cheesy.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: about Airdrop in Telegram on: October 20, 2020, 04:29:49 PM
spent time following Airdrops on various Telegram channels, as a result a Scam

yes because I am a beginner.. Grin
First time?  Cheesy
Haha
Mate I really don't wanna start talking about my experience with scam airdrops right now, cus i have been through alot, and it's a total waste of time and effort, it's better you use that time to complete some bounty task than participate in those airdrops, there are no good or real airdrops anymore, 99% of them are scam, you will complete all the required tasks and yet you won't receive any reward from them, no point doing the same thing every time and expecting a different result, airdrop are nothing more than scam now, just stop participating in them.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Message to Bounty Managers and Participants on: October 20, 2020, 04:16:45 PM
These scammers will never stop, I have been a victim to this scam,it mostly happens in social media bounty campaigns, I heard bots are been used to do this, I complained to the bounty manager he didn't say anything about it, the scammers even used my profile to register in the telegram bounty campaign before I got there, too bad I can't identify the scammer cus it's just his telegram name there, I would have tagged him asap, these is really getting out of control,we need to put an end to this.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: October 19, 2020, 10:38:31 PM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now
No doubt this are all great ideas, especially the developer part, but you know developing or coding is kinda complicated, not like anyone can't become a developer, but no one can succeed in something they don't like, besides coding is boring to normal people except developers they like been on keys, I'm really surprised you forgot to add crypto trading, trading is one of the best skill out there, although when learning about it, you might get bored, but trust me it's worth the try.

408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest cryptocurrency wallets on: October 18, 2020, 09:35:35 PM
I  Dont actually think there is a safe wallet that can assure you of that much security but its also about how much you are saving and keeping your private keys and always make sure you are logged in to the right website and not a clone website, or you can also try using an external wallet
You made some nice points here mate, I totally agree you, because whether you use a hardware wallet (eg. ledger) or software wallet (eg. trust wallet) , it doesn't really matter which of them you make use of, how you safe guard your seeds or private keys is what really matters, cus if you expose your private keys your crypto will definitely get stolen, and kept safe in another wallet since you failed to safeguard your private keys/seeds.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Token on: October 17, 2020, 01:25:09 PM
Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

Who saw before?

How do you describe them?
Of course, why won't there be scam tokens? Since it claimed to be a decentralized exchange where anyone can just go and claim they have a project and list their shit token,so certainly they are many scam tokens on uniswap, which has little or no value at all, you just have to look at their daily trading volume, they are very easy to spot cus they have low liquidity, make sure you do your own research before you trade there.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: October 17, 2020, 12:53:56 PM
We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.
Actually just because there's one bad fruit in a basket doesn't make the rest of the fruits bad also, same in this case, just because there were a few bad ICO's that stole the money of so many investors, doesn't mean all will be bad too, I mean there are still some legit ICO's around, just that investors no longer trust it anymore, even the so called IEO is no longer profitable any more, right now the trend is DeFi and there are alot of scam DeFi projects out there now, scammers will always find their way we just have be careful.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Defi scams on: October 16, 2020, 09:48:22 PM
Wow, good job mate,I bet it took some time to put all this piece together, but with the hype on DeFi for the last two or three months, I believe there are even more than this, since DeFi became the new trend in the crypto sphere, there has been alot of DeFi scam projects here and there, looks like scammers didn't take time to adapt and start following the new trend, they saw how YFI moved from 0 to $48k,immediately they started naming their scam tokens similar to it, example YF MOONSHOT and YFIR in order to deceive investors.  Roll Eyes
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not store your wallet on the exchange, store it on your crypto wallet. on: October 16, 2020, 04:18:32 PM
Thanks for reminding us mate, this topic should always serve as a reminder to us that it's never safe to leave our crypto on exchanges, and it will be more helpful for the noobs in  crypto, cus alot of them normally make this mistake, and when the exchange where there their funds are kept eventually gets hacked they will start crying, storing our crypto should always be our top priority and since exchange security have proven to be weak and very easy to exploit, it's best we store them in our wallet, storing crypto in exchanges became a bad idea, since some group of people decided not to work for money, but rather they prefer to exploit security weak points in exchanges then hack into  them and steal the funds on the exchange,so its better for our crypto to remain in our wallet than in an exchange wallet.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 15, 2020, 09:06:22 PM
One of the reason is that not all the people have deep knowledge about bitcoin and know how it works and how to use it in their transactions, it's not that they avoid it, what they avoid is the chance to learn or take the risk to explore as some people think bitcoin as a complex form of currency and too complex to be used in a transaction.
I totally agree with you, ignorance is the main reason why people stay away from bictcion transactions, less knowledge about it makes them feel like they are going to lose their money if they do any transaction with it, I think its high time we start educating the society about the use of crypto for easier and faster transactions, we need to make them see the reason why it's the best way to transfer money from one country to another.
414  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: October 15, 2020, 05:34:20 AM
Thanks for the comprehensive money making apps list , would have love to try them out, but sadly my past experience with money apps won't let me go back to it  Cheesy, honestly it was never worth the time and effort I put into it, the revenue I generated after spending about 10 hours on the app was really small only a few cents, it wasn't  even able to buy me back the sim data subscription I wasted in doing it,and some of them the amount for minimum withdrawal are really high and will take alot of time to get to that amount, while some are low but they don't pay at all.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: October 15, 2020, 05:09:14 AM
Undoubtedly 2017 was the most profitable year in the crypto sphere, almost every ICO were shooting for the moon, alot of people were making insane gains from all those ICO booms, and since after that, the crypto market has never been the same, the DeFi hype is no longer there also, I doubt if  we can ever have such a wonderful year like 2017 again, but the future is very unpredictable, it might happen again, no one can tell.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: October 14, 2020, 09:34:31 PM
These two are sure good altcoins to invest, and I also believe that both will be successful in the future, but I would like to ask the community here if which coin they believe will be more successful in the future. I also added a poll so you can vote, this would help people reading this thread to easily determine which coin is better.

Please share your opinion too on why you choose a certain coin.
How is this even a debate, we shouldn't be having this debate right now, we all know who will emerge as the winner, Eth has achieved more than bnb will ever do, don't forget bnb was only created as the binance exchange token, eth on the other hand has been extraordinary in the past couple years, it really deserves the second spot, it has been a great decentralized open source Blockchain, and has served us really well, I still believe eth can achieve more, just waiting for the ETH 2.0 launch, if you ask me, which of them is better? I would pick ETH anytime anyday Smiley
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Now Bounty Program totally worth less !! 90% Bounties are scam on: October 13, 2020, 03:17:28 PM
I agree with you, bounty campaigns nowadays are nothing to write home about, only a few amount of them turned out to be successful and actually paid the bounty hunters, but still its full of scams where and there, I don't know which bounty manager to trust anymore  Sad, even the bounty detectives has failed us, I trusted them back then, but after the clipx campaign I began to have second thoughts about them, I no longer trust them fully, right now i only participate in bounties that are organized by reputable campaign managers.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet do you think is the best? on: October 12, 2020, 10:11:53 PM
Which wallet do you like the most? Personally I really like Exodus, the only con is that it's not fully open source, but other than that it's a great wallet!

Are there any wallets which allow you to have multiple addresses?
Have heard alot about exodus wallet, although i have never tried it out, but since you like it that's good, everyone has their own choice to make, so we are free to pick any particular wallet we  prefer to use, but as for me since I came into the crypto sphere, the only wallet I prefer using is Trust wallet, it's actually a multi coin wallet, with lots of nice features in it, the best part is their simple UI design, it's very easy to understand, even the noobs in crypto can easily use it.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ClipX steals KYC data and shuts down on: October 12, 2020, 05:46:14 AM
It was really a suspicious move but anxious hunters neglected it. Why ask for only a passport for KYC and not any other document.

My advise to bounty hunters:
1. Don't participate in any bounty without escrowed rewards.
2. Don't be in a rush to participate in every bounty that comes up.
3. Follow only trusted Bounty Managers.
4. DYOR on any project and don't rely on BMs. Most of them don't even research a project before going into contract with project team.

Anyone else got any advice for bounty hunters, especially the noobs among them?
All the advise you gave are really helpful I just hope they will heed to them, well here's my advice to them, never disclose or share your personal information with any project in order to receive rewards after you have participated in their bounty campaign, don't give out your private data in the name of kyc.

3. Follow only trusted Bounty Managers.
If it's about following a trusted bounty manager, just so you know the bounty was handled by bounty detectives, and we all know their reputation precedes them,it's not their first bounty campaign here either, cus they have managed so many bounties on this forum, they slipped out this time, thats why I no longer trust them "fully", they should at least paid those bounty hunters who did all their best to make sure the project was successful Undecided.

420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: October 12, 2020, 05:00:01 AM

What if, for example - like after that twitter hack - the President wakes up (in a bad mood) and decides with an executive order to make all crypto illegal in the USA?
I just hope that will never happen in the US, because I believe thats where it all started, and alot of whales are there, when they start dumping that might cus a massive crash on bitcoin price, these time it might even reach $1k,so I pray that never happens  Cheesy.

I don't mean only America, what about in your country; do think that a future ban on crypto currencies is ever possible in your country?
Yes, it's possible it might get banned over here someday, cus about 2months ago the government over here passed a bill on bitcoin transactions, one of it is that any transaction to any bank account that is crypto related should be freezed by the bank, their excuse is that so many people have been scammed, because they keep investing in crypto hyips  Huh, it's not my fault they don't recognize ponzi schemes when they see one, they just keep investing in crypto doubler and always end up losing their money.
