As for the whole code issue, John-connor has an acknowledgment on the VNL website towards peer coin and wrote that he used peer coin as a reference while writing VNL. I don't really care whether he inadvertently used some btc/ssl/goldcoin/ whatever came before that code to pull off the mundane crypto currency things. If you don't like it, take it up with a legal body that cares.... wait there is none.
The rest of what icebreaker wrote is garbage. VNL ZEROTIME transfers work very well, we are months in now and there is no evidence that a double spend has happened. Where the fuck do you get off making up shot about fake coins? Show evidence in the block chain. .. wait you can't because you are full of shit. His quote from gmaxwell was from VNL's first month after launch and is total and complete bullshit FUD. VNL code is open source check it out yourself. also wasn't it Gmaxwell who was just caught with his pants down because he is selling a lightning network that he has no idea how to finish.
Well John-connor who supposedly has no clue about cryptography has already created one. Not only that but he has implemented a pruning ledger, so there are no bloat issues.
PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!!
and before you start your hypocritical shill rant, everyone knows your a core/monero shill so please sit down.

The ETH price has bubbled, I would tread carefully from here!
It's a huge manipulated bubble. There are 77 million of them out there and only 3 or hundred k on the books for sale. Someone is controlling the market and the community is going to get dumped on hard. BEWARE!

Oh hooray!!@ we can finally give up on the dream of a decentralized currency where concensus, and freedom are key, and give the keys to a corporation.
What a relief😥.

As far as I can tell dash is to centralized and the Darksend isn't working right. Monero hasn't been able to solve it's bloating issues so it may or may not be able to scale if it goes mainstream...
So although one is useful for aquiring a fast sugar rush, while the other is good for anonymous transactions in a small community, I don't think either are ready for mass adoption.
Hopefully both can develop into useful modes of exchange.
BTW everyone is tired of the same ten people creating these meaningless threads.

You can watch the vanilla coin network to see how a lightning network works in practice. Locked transactions on a side chain seem to be a very efficient way to reduce load.
Good. This block size thing is really doing my head in. Srsly. Tell me everything. Everything can be found on the vanilla coin websight www.vanillacoin.net don't want to derail the topic here.

It is frustrating how much energy is being wasted. Just scale the blocksize already...

That far off topic, and you don't consider your original statement FUD.
ROFL! !!
Back on topic.
Merry Christmas everyone who partakes and enjoy playing with the fastest coin around!!

How can I start mining vanillacoin most efficient?
CPU or via grafik cards or whatever?
R9 280/290 seem to work the best with the wolf miner. But John alluded to possibly changing algos later so 750ti may be just as good long term.

Why don't we all just move to bitcointalk.forum.com and leave this trashed.

Well aren't you a nice FUD'ER The vnl community gets together to offer a gift on its birthday. And you turn it into a debate about the devs personality. I sure hope you haven't signed up to be a part of this. I'm starting to agree with John about the quality of bitcointalk

Bitcointalk is a joke n9 matter where you look. If people want real information join the vanilla coin forum or irc. I come here for entertainment

Yes, i read something in irc about it, to change for cpu & & gpu mining, because fpga isnt profitable due to New x4 increase in the price For now you can also use fpga, but I think John is considering changing the algo to stop fpga farms soon.
I agree about SP's they are a much better way to generate VNL. But adding miners is also good for the network.
Removing FPGA mining sounds like a reasonable solution considering the current issues with large farms. Did John make a post regarding stopping Fpga mining in this forum or somewhere else? If i may correct you , it isnt about profitability, but about fairness.. FPGA price has increased 4x since JC introduced FPGA mining and they arent manufactured anymore, so ppl already owning them have a major advantage,.. Thanks for the correction.

i smell a move upwards again
Looks like a believer in elliot waves is trying to make sure the pattern becomes reality.

when you know about VNL, both xmr and dash are irrelevant
Please let vnl build steam without entering it in here.

i have a funny feeling we will get christmas present
need to catch some on this manipulated dump, fill my orders be great to see 10k If btc break 600$, you'll see even 9k Or it might go down to 400 and dumpers will be rebuying @13-14k. Whichever way BTC goes VNL will remain the same cost in USD which makes speculation irrelevant. The built-in Economic Algorithms make sure we will have 6-12 more months before VNL reaches a stable ATH with low inflation at which point you have a valid reason for screaming "moon". Until then you have nothing but time... Thank you for your support. That's what I keep saying. I suppose the community and miner shills won't call this FUD if it's told by the dev. All I see is a calm collected dev with a one year plan... you may call me a shill for promoting vnl but it is a gem.. I'll be holding at least 20k when vnl hits parity with btc

Vnl android wallet let's you migrate your wallet.dat file from android to windows/ios wallet... clearly that is more important than making a neat looking gui.
