401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin down, what will happen? on: May 27, 2018, 05:27:44 PM
seeing bitcoin prices go down and up, I'm a bit frightened to buy bitcoin at the moment, I judge I could lose, do you think, whether bitcoin prices can continue to go down, or even rise high?

It's hard to know why bitcoin keeps falling, and for situations like this to hold is the best way to avoid losses, and not to be a panic seller.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of the Bitcoin on: May 27, 2018, 05:14:13 PM
In the G20,approval of the Bitcoin is 15 countries, more than the half,
in this view,we still have the faith in Bitcoin,
at the moment, maybe someone said the death of Bitcoin is in the China, because the China is the only one who makes Bitcoin illegal,
So,the death of the bitcoin will come ture ?
what is your predict about the future of the bitcoin?

The future of bitcoin will be bright, bitcoin becomes a more promising coin that can be used as an investment as well as a virtual currency that is in use for online transactions.
403  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now the biggest bubble of all time? on: May 23, 2018, 02:55:44 PM
The Dutch Tulip Mania is one of the most famous bubbles of all time, for the scale of the bubble, the scale of the collapse, and probably including the seemingly obvious nature of the bubble considering the extremely limited functional utility of tulips. Bitcoin has now surpassed the multiples of value appreciation at the height of the Tulip Bubble (and by a wide margin). While this itself is not proof that Bitcoin is a bubble or that a collapse is imminent, it's worth considering if there's a lot more risk buying at this price (currently bouncing around $17,000) than anyone on these boards seems willing or able to recognize.

Thoughts?

I do not think bitcoin is a bubble. Bitcoin does have an unstable value, bitcoin can increase and then bitcoin can fall in price, but bitcoin can still recover.
404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see 20k+ again? on: May 23, 2018, 02:47:04 PM
(I'm all-in in Bitcoin for the record) I don't want to be a pessimist but I'm kinda going in to that direction.

We all know crypto bled quite bad the past week. Because of bunch of government issues, futures contacts, unconfirmed transactions and what not... We all also know that Bitcoin is neither the fastest nor the safest crpto currency out. The 3rd generation coins are way more in demand and people are in talks of the 4th generation. I'm wondering if BTC will ever see the light of day.

Tether deposited another 400 million USD to BTC, and it's said this is the reason BTC had an upward movement. However, my perspective is a bit blurred and I can't help myself but get more pessimistic about it.

When Bitcoin was around 18k, the only thing that was talked was whether it was the biggest bubble in history or not and (if it is) when it's going to burst. Now that it went up to 20k and went back down to 9k, it looks more of a bubble than not.

I'd like to hear what forum people say.

Yes, bitcoin will reach 20k, maybe for this year bitcoin feels slow to increase but for the future bitcoin surely can increase higher. Bitcoin is the most popular crypto coin and of course bitcoin will be able to rise high and we just need the patience to wait for it.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Scam - No more on: May 23, 2018, 01:52:00 PM
#consensus2018

The narrative has changed. It used to be “Is Bitcoin a scam?” now it’s “ how high do you think the price will go”.
Institutional money is on its way people.

Matthew Goetz from 'Block Tower Capital' stated in front of a capacity crowd at Consensus;
"Bitcoin to 60k in 2018"

Goldman Sachs are already well and truly in the space.

Bitcoin is always said to be a scam for those who do not know the benefits of bitcoin, because they believe in negative news, and people like that will become anti bitcoin. And if they want to understand the bitcoin more deeply, they will find the benefits of bitcoin.
406  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can change economic? on: May 23, 2018, 01:33:15 PM
We have seen Bitcoin and people's economic changes in the country. Do you know how Bitcoin is changing the economy? Do people believe that economic changes are possible by Bitcoin? And what will be the impact of Bitcoin economics in the future?

I think bitcoin can change the economy for the better because bitcoin can provide an excellent advantage for improving one's economy.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops .. Is it fortune or scam? on: May 23, 2018, 01:22:34 PM
Is it even worth participating in airdrops?
"I have participated in about 250 airdrops since February and so far only received about 30 that are worth only a few dollars".

Does that sound familiar to you? This certainly concerns many of you and therefore I would like to explain it to you in the best possible way:
Airdrops are a long term play. Most of them take about 3 months until the tokens are distributed.
In addition, some projects fail and the tokens are never distributed.
What I have also noticed in recent weeks is that significantly more projects than we initially suspected are fraudsters or fakes.

Quality over quantity
I know there are tens of Telegram channels, web sites, bitcointalk threads and others that post many airdrops a day.
But do you really believe that they are all legit?
will be successful?
will the tokens really pour out?
will be worth something?
I doubt this for the absolute majority of projects!

Are they worth it now?
To answer the question from my point of view: There are a few airdrops that are definitely worth it. A good example is the HYDRO airdrop. The 222,222 tokens have recently been distributed and are currently worth about $2000 , but I believe that 95% of all available airdrops are not worth it. Therefore you have to search for and concentrate on the remaining 5%, like Hydro!

Airdrop can give you an advantage if airdrop actually pays, but for now a lot of airdrop does not pay and I think it's just a waste of time. But if you have patience, you can continue to participate in airdrop, and you can earn extra income.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will kill itself on: May 23, 2018, 07:05:55 AM
One of the best features of Bitcoin is it's anonymity. This is also one of the reason why countries are banning or at least hesitant to embrace the technology. From money laundering to illegal drug transactions to human trafficking. We always blame the FUD from mainstream media, financial institutions like banks, the government etal. But do you think, the one that would "kill" Bitcoin is actually the nature of it.

Here's another news where Bitcoin was being used in an illegal activity. This will raise a lot of eyebrows because it concerns our children.

http://www.news.com.au/finance/money/investing/bitcoin-could-become-illegal-after-its-blockchain-was-discovered-containing-child-abuse/news-story/bf486e6e8de453fd7ad2abba019952dd

I don't think bitcoin users are bad guys and can only be used for crime, but bitcoin is digital currency, and for now many good people use bitcoin as an investment tool.
409  Economy / Speculation / Re: can bitcoin reach 25k$ on: May 22, 2018, 07:07:15 PM
i want some advise from the expert because im only basis on my prediction can anyone tell !

Bitcoin can reach a value of 25k, bitcoin can still grow and touch 25k even exceed it. I think bitcoin will reach 25k in 2019, and for the year 2018 it looks like bitcoin is hard to achieve that value.
410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking $20,000 again? on: May 22, 2018, 06:40:29 PM
We all have seen how bitcoin crossed $20,000 in December . When do you think this will happen again?

No one knows when that value will be achieved again, because predicting bitcoin prices is very difficult, but one day bitcoin will reach the value of 20k, and time will answer it.
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Bitcoin market going to collapse? on: May 22, 2018, 06:30:05 PM
My opinion is that in time Bitcoin market share will keep reducing, as many other coins and tokens and platforms will keep surging.

In the long term, the blockchain technology is very disruptive. Bitcoin will more likely compete with Gold, Ethereum will provide a backbone for many uses.

So I am not really sure a collapse is incoming, it depends if a real bubble will quickly form.

The collapse of bitcoin will only exist in the minds of dubious people, bitcoin is the perfect cryptocoin, many people believe in bitcoin and it will make bitcoin persist in any situation.
412  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reason why we should invest in Bitcoin Or Ethereum ? on: May 22, 2018, 06:16:41 PM
The reason why we should invest in Bitcoin Or Ethereum ?
I think that all of invester have the same goal. Investing in Bitcoin in the hope of taking advantage of future price increases is as simple as buying Bitcoin on an online exchange. When the price increases, it means that we get profit. More and more profit! Moreover, bitcoin transactions are subject to few regulatory oversights, which makes transactions fast and headache-free.
What do you think?
How many other reason for this question, please let me know!
Thank you very much.

Bitcoin is the main coin in crypto and the most popular coin which is a good choice for investment, Ethereum is a very strong project and is more likely to grow larger. For me bitcoin and etheteum are the best coins in crypto to make investment.
413  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Bitcoin Change your life. on: May 22, 2018, 05:51:02 PM
Firstly , the payment system changed significantly.
Secondly, it attracts more and more people towards the crypto world.
Then it skyrocketed its value as high as $20,000.
Banks and major financial institutions are envy about it, they try to bring it down.
It has much influence on our life, good or bad.
What do you think ?

Bitcoin can change my life for the better, and ever since I received the benefits of bitcoin, I have become easier to meet my needs, bitcoin is an alternative job that can give me more income than the main job.
414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does bitcoin have value? on: May 21, 2018, 07:21:32 PM

-I think It is popular. many people accept and trade in Bitcoin because It is recognized and accepted as a currency by many.
-Bitcoin is decentralized and limited. This is a major factor for many Bitcoin users. Bitcoin is hard for governments to trace and tax
-Bitcoin acts like an equity investment. The market value of Bitcoins has had wild swings in value and even a market cap.
-Bitcoin is a social network. The Bitcoin "community" is active and acts like other online social networks.
-There are only 21 million bits so it has the same value as gold.

Bitcoin is a crypto currency with all the benefits as well as bitcoin has a very limited supply, and because of the demand the bitcoin has value, the higher the demand for bitcoin makes the bitcoin value increase.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how do you think of bitcoin in future? on: May 21, 2018, 05:30:12 PM
bitcoin has many technological limitations(1MB size of block, takes long time to process your transaction) and so had been hardforked to bch, btg.
it could only be used as currency since they do not support platform like ethereum does.

currently many icos are based on ethereums, cause they support tokens on their platform.
I think the only benefit of using bitcoin is that it is the very first cryptocurrency and altcoins are exchangeable in exchange because of btc's stability.

how do you think of bitcoin? will it still have much advantages&value as it now has?

Bitcoin will be more popular and have a bright future, in the future bitcoin will be higher because many investors are investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin will continue to grow and having bitcoin will bring success in the future.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum, Ripple or Litecoin? on: May 16, 2018, 03:14:08 PM
What is the best choice regarding investing in these coins? Lately I have sold my Ethereum and now I am waiting for the right moment to buy them again, but shall I also buy Ripple and Litecoin?

Ethereum in my opinion has great potential for greater growth because many investors are adopting ethereum. Ethereum also has a smart contract that is in use on ico. And therefore I prefer ethereum rather than litecoin and ripple.
417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2018 be better than 2017 for bitcoin on: May 16, 2018, 02:56:25 PM
2017 has being one of the phenomenal years for the people who had stayed invested till the last. It has given some of the unexpected rise during the last couple of months in 2017. Though the start of Jan 2018 was good the market kept moving up but during the later half the market started to sin and back to 10k levels at present.

How do you predict the 2018 year to be for bitcoin. Will it rise back like 2017 and if yes than what could lead to those rise and if no than what factors could be accounted for the downfall?

The year 2018 is not over and it's still possible for bitcoin to soar upwards. For now I still believe bitcoin in 2018 will be better than 2017.
418  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather see steady growth in Bitcoin or strong upward spikes instead? on: May 16, 2018, 02:50:05 PM
I wanted to see what the general thoughts of the community here are. With bitcoin being in a pretty steady state for the past few weeks, it seems like there's going to be a set up for some kind of growth. With that, there can be many paths, but after seeing today's price (which was up around 5% when I checked), I was wondering if the volatility is what people actually like about bitcoin.

So, do you guys like the volatility and the strong spikes upwards or would you rather like steady growth, around 5% gains over time?

I prefer a steady growth gradually increase, because it can enable us to earn profits with certainty and the risk of loss is also lower.
419  Economy / Economics / Re: DO NOT SELL! JUST HODL - You've not loss any money if you haven't sold. on: May 16, 2018, 02:16:06 PM
Bitcoin dipped to 7500$ and i think now it is danger zone could go to 3000$-4000$ again.
Good chance for newcomers, sorry for those who bought bitcoin at 18,000$ an 11,000$ Cheesy

What do you think? How low bitcoin can go?

Just hodl it

Yes you are right, holding can save from losses because bitcoin still allows to increase again, and if there is a price spike then we will benefit. We will really lose if we sell bitcoin because of panic in the price fall.
420  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people are still buying BTC? on: May 16, 2018, 02:09:06 PM
Hello guys,

To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...
I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.

Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  Roll Eyes ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.

An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.

Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).

I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

Because Bitcoin is still the leader and more and more people believe that bitcoin can change lives for the better in financial terms.
