BTC has a small chance. Fastcoin has 0 chance. There is no nonzero chance even.

Thank you for your reply DannyElfman,

I am interested to read your rational as to why BTC has a small chance and FastCoin is not even in the running...

408  Other / Beginners & Help / If BITCON is Gold, LITECOIN Silver, which ALT Coin can be considered Copper? on: June 21, 2013, 06:57:18 PM
If BITCOIN is Gold, LITECOIN Silver, which ALT Coin be considered Copper?

For years we had three primary metal's that were well established within our currency.  Before Nixon took the US off the Gold standard in 1971, Gold was directly convertible for US Dollars.  And before the coinage Act in the late 60's Silver was widely used in Quarters and Dimes.

Now with copper prices going through the roof, Canada recently eliminated the penny all together, which was 99% Copper pre 1996.

With crypto currencies taking center stage some have argued that BITCOIN is the gold Standard.  Now I know about BITBAR and that is an interesting concept but for simplicities sake lets assume as far as Cryptos are concerned, BITCOIN is the GOLD standard Coin.  LiteCoin was considered to be the Silver standard, so that just begs the question what Alt coin could be considered the Copper standard?

I look forward to your comments.

Peace.

I guess it's just one of many worthless coins...

And I don't see any connection to Africa?

Thank you Faydesu for your comment.

Apparently Africa has the fastest mobile phone growth market on the planet right now, as markets in Asia have slowly become saturated.  Africa is on the verge of an economic Renascence, what better way to complement mobile phone usage with everyday banking like with a fast reliable, low cost crypto coin like FastCoin?  With both Bitcoin in the $100 range, and Litecoin hovering around $2 at the time of this writing, FastCoin makes a great low cost alternative without the need for Brand recognition.

Personally I thought the Cheetah on the coin gave it away   Grin

I guess we will see soon AfricaCoin, it will beat your FastCoin because of better name and the price of this another worthless coin will be ok for Africans as well.

Thank you ZengryT

For your comment, you may be right, this whole crypto business is defiantly difficult to predict, but ever since this post I have noticed quite a bit of interest in the coin besides my own...

https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/44#

African or not, this certainly is an exciting time to be involved with this technology for sure..

Peace.

Im curious when altcoins will have real meaning. Not just label.

Thank you Gard1,

Altcoins or even the main stream coin's have meaning because we use them.  The more we use them, the greater the meaning and perhaps value.  Case in point, if we took the VHS vs BetaMax war's played out in the late 70's and early 80's.  Hands down BetaMax had a technological advantage over VHS, but VHS proved to be more affordable and in my option marketed better, which in the end gave it the DeFacto standard for Video tapes.

Why can't Crypto's be the same?  Why is it that this large planet of ours cannot use many different crypto's and reap the benefits of each one?  Bitcoin certainly is the defacto standard at the moment, but only time will tell how long it can hold onto its title.  Maybe it will continue to be the 800 lbs Gorilla for years to come, but that is only good news for Alt crypto's as well.  You need biodiversity, you need competition and you need multiple idea's to fill every niche we have yet to think of.

As time moves forward and if the planet chooses to embrace this technology, then crypto's in general will have more meaning, but if they are not used, they will just sit there collecting dust like like the treadmill or exercise equipment you never use.

I hope this gives you some insight, sorry if I may be a little winded.

Peace.

Do you know by chance anyone that is currently developing for FastCoin?
You
Don't try to fool anyone...
Your first post was 3 days ago, it was a new thread directly in the altcoin subforum to explain what is Fastcoin and how to use it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237703.msg2514699#msg2514699

Since then, all your posts (72) mention Fastcoin
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=130812;sa=showPosts

Oh and did I mention the fact that only 1 hour after your first post here you were giving away Fastcoin?
Who the fuck would have enough altcoins to give them away only 1 hour after having heard of them?

And finally, you are the only one who give a shit about this coin. Even the dev is nowhere to be found for several weeks. Interesting enough your account was created after the last time he logged in.

Edit: Also, this post just now in the altcoin subforum:
We are currently looking for developers that are interested to develop a pocket Wallet for mobile phones, iPhone and Android based.  We would like to work with the FastCoin Protocol, please post below with your FastCoin wallet address and list of credentials and previous work.

Hello jackjack,

Thank you for your reply,

I have nothing to hide with respects to the fact that I have an interest in the FastCoin, this is true, and I respect the fact that you took the time to look at all of my other posts.  Another clue, but a little more obvious, underneath my profile picture I also promotes the coin, this is also true.  It is not true however that I am trying to pose as a pump and dump artist for this coin or any coin for that matter.  I do own an IT company, and I would like to see this coin gain some traction, that is a fact, but to accuse me of dumping it, I think that goes a bit too far.  I would love to get in touch with the developer of this coin, if he/she or the group such as the now infamous "Satoshi Nakamoto" developer of the BITCOIN would please step forward then great.  Just because we still don't really know who invented BITCOIN does'nt necessarily mean that it too is a pump and dump scam right?

If you check through the forum and do a broad search for FastCoin you my surprise yourself and find that I am not the only one interested in this coin.  This coin has only been out less then 3 weeks today, perhaps I may be its most blatant supporter right now, guilty as charged, but hey we are all just communicating idea's right?

I am not holding anyone over a barrel on anything.  You are all free to decide which coin suites you the best, I for one have worked with many Crypto coin's, starting off first with Bitcoin back in 2010.  I then moved on to Litecoin like everyone else when the GPU's weren't cutting it for Bitcoin mining, then Cyprus happened and everything changed with respects to Crypto's, and here we are.

I hope that gives you a little more insight about who I am and what my intentions are, Love me or hate me, for now I happen to like riding the FastCoin horse!

Peace.

Why are you starting this discussion here and not in the appropriate section?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0

You are not a noob.

Edit: OK found it. There is another thread in this section, sorry for not getting the point of your thread.

No worries Akka,

Its all good, and thank you for your comment.  I just wanted to reach out to the members of this forum to get a better understanding of how they view FastCoin and any other Crypto for that matter.  We are certainly optimistic about Crypto currencies in general, and for some strange reason FastCoin has caught my eye with respects to its possibilities.  Specifically in high growth Mobile markets, which seems to be the case right now for Africa in general.

No...

First, why should I use Fastcoin?

How safe is it? Is it a pump and dump, then the developer create Fastercoin, then same thing happen...

Furiouscoin, Fastercoin, Furiouscoin... only thing making this different is the name. Why should I use this instead of say Litecoin???

Thank you Sabahgamemaker for your comments,

You have a good point in the never ending battle of Alt coin's.  I would have to agree with you that we do not know a lot about this coin at this time.  However it might be worth investigating why it was developed in the first place.  Rumor has it that due to widespread use of mobile phone usage in Africa, in order to cater to such a mobile market, a crypto coin other then Bitcoin had to be used.  Simply for the fact that verification on high volume low transaction cost require a great deal of patience with BitCoin.  Sure Litecoin was created for that purpose, but even Litecoin has it's shortcomings.

Fastcoin can easly be implemented as a middle-ware agent where the end user or the merchant doesn't even know it exists.  Developers can wrap there own interfaces around it as well as an immediate Fiat Currency exchange component on the front end.  Again end users would not even know that FastCoin was doing the work.  It would be a perfect low cost fit for dynamically and rapidly growing regions such as Africa.

Something to consider as the brand recognition of both Litecoin and Bitcoin gain further global attention.  A premium will have to be paid to use these coin's, this is where a low cost secondary contender like FastCoin can really be attractive.

You can see the results immediately, and it won't be deleted if the Fastcoin developper find the results bad for his business

Thank you for your thoughts JackJack,

Do you know by chance anyone that is currently developing for FastCoin?

We may be looking for someone who can assist us with a mobile wallet for FastCoin for both the iPhone and Android device's.
