I've sent a small donation sent as well. Good luck with the book. It's no coincidence it's Megacoin-red, is it?!

Payment confirmed! Twice even for both contracts. Though I wonder, can I change the bitcoin address? I see I've used the generic one, and when the payments arrived I had no clue where the coins were coming from

Dear all,
we are proud to announce our new affiliate program!
We already handed out personalized promo codes to chosen users. If you like to have a personalized code, contact us via PM and tell us where you want to spread the word! Right now, each participant is chosen individually by us.
The personalized promo codes grants you 3% of the hashpower of the order made by the customer you won! Additionally, the new customer has 3% off his order with using the code! Additionaly, you are able to increase your percentage over time!
The more users you win, the higher your percentage gain will be!
Excellent going. Though, wondering, is the process of adding hashpower automatic or is it manual? How fast after someone uses your... errr.... my code will the hashrate be added?

To call cloud mining overpriced because hardware is cheaper is the same as claiming that bread from the bakery is overpriced because it costs more then flour. You can't sell cloud hashes below the price of hardware because there's a whole lot of services surrounding those hashes. People chose cloud mining for different reasons. No room at home, expensive powerbill, noise, heat, lousy internet connection, whatever.

I think Genesis Mining will open up to other opportunities and other forms of contracts as well. But right now they are a fast growing business, and they need their energy to keep up with that, so it might take a little while

Basically none. Or one. They mine the most profitable coins and pay in bitcoin. There's no other choice. (so no, not flexible everywhere)

Scrypt.CC has the advantage of being extremely flexible. What your hashrate will be worth after one year is not very interesting when your intention is not to sell but to keep on building. You can keep the hashrate indefinitely, so after a year you won't suddenly lose a few Mhs because some contract ends. Instead, you simply buy whatever you need daily/weekly/monthly to keep ahead of difficulty and withdraw if you have something left. Scrypt.CC offers you the opportunity to buy in small steps, as little as 1Khs steps. And that is a HUGE advantage over GM, especially for those with limited dollars to spent. Of course keeping ahead of difficulty requires planning and keeping an eye on things and knowing when to invest and when not to. And prices are dictated by an open market, so it can go up and down wildly. Therefor, it's not for the average Joe who tosses in a bag of coins and expects more at the end. You can see those people run away from scrypt.cc almost daily. So yeah, I like Scrypt.CC very much and I have invested there, just because I love the building aspect. In theory you can buy once and build up bigger/better/more forever. But yeah, I've also invested in GM because of the ease of use, the good yield (though that will be diminishing over time, but very hard to estimate), AND the opportunity to mine specific coins. And it's nice that I don't put all my money on just one (or two) horse(s)

That's why he's selling it, to compensate his losses On the upside, prices are very competitive now, especially when considering you can always sell what you buy.

There are claims about scrypt.cc being hacked and that "evidence" about the hack and the coming demise of scrypt.cc can be seen via a proxy. Well, guess what, that attempt to get you to visit something IS the hack. Do not visit any proxy or whatever they want you to visit! Do not use your login and password on anywhere other then https://scrypt.cc, and do NOT trust people who try to scare you and claim to "know" inside information and send you to obscure sites and proxies. Did I mention you should not visit any site?!

yup... ordered the basic version. Not that I need it, selfsigned is more the enough for me, but for a handful of dollars it should be worth it. Created the csr and off it went. Now wait a bit... errr... I see now that the cert's already been sent to me half an hour ago

scrypt.cc also has tremendous amounts of scrypt hashing power online, perhaps even more, and more to come. 700Ghs currently, though my math skills are terrible. On top of that, there are several multipools active with lots of hashrate, and asics are being rolled out. No worry that one cloud might rule them all. Besides, there are more scryptcoins so any bitcoin (one network only) scenario is less likely.

There's only "warning" after "warning" in this thread - we are now on 20 pages of "scam, scam, scam". Kind of strange, don't you think?
Amazing how some of those radical freaks keep on trying to force their holy words upon others like Jehovah Witnesses. Someone close the door, damnit! Did I miss the result of today at BT?! I can find it easier here then on their site. I saw it once and never found the page again. So I come here. Finding my way through the clutter, though that'll become much easier once you use the ignore function in abundance.

Zooooo hey.... I said it would be a nice klusje for the weekend, but nee hoor, instant service Okay, how bout this one: What I would REALLY like to see, is an overview of how coins are doing over long term. 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year. That would certainly make you different and very popular. Honestly, it's something this cryptoworld with it's short term vision is missing dearly. I'm sure it would give you a very solid user/fan base. But you can't add new coins there. Not yet anyway
|
|
|
Heh, no Megacoin!? One of the bigger coins (I would say the biggest, though others do not always seem to agree) since over a year now. Any plans to add it? It would give you something to do this coming weekend

Problem is that profitability can and will change within minutes so I don't take sites like coinwarz and others very serious.
Either you you go mine at some multipool, or you have a good automated way of mining the best coin yourself. Or, you pick a good coin that has proven itself over and over in the past and will continue to prove itself into the future, and you stick with that long term. Sooner or later you'll be rewarded bigger then a multipool could, though yes, nothing is for sure. Anyway, Megacoin is the reason why I joined Genesis-Mining. I'm one of the Mec dedicated people. I was looking for a way to replace mining at home (electric bill!) with mining in the cloud, and it just gets better and better.
