Don't make it all about Tsitisipas, I did not watch the match today but I watched his opponent previously in this tournament and he played some incredible tennis.

Where? He's having a below average season, the only top 50 players he won against this season were Cerundolo and Jarry in Buenos Aires 250, where he won the title.
He lost Monte Carlo to Sumit Nagal and then as LL took 6 games against Bautista Agut, lost Marrakech against 157th American I never heard of before.

In Barcelona he won against Čorić which isn't that big of a deal and ok, had 2 really good sets after going 1-0 down to Marozsan - that's probably something you watched Grin

I thought Tsitsipas would cover the handicap today, and I think in 4 out of 5 games against players like Acosta he covers it. I think the guy is average at best.

Trent is back anyway, so Bradley ain't playing. Haaland isn't worth it IMO, but he can kill you in 1 game if you go without him.

Unlike Arsenal where you can anticipate and predict the starting the lineup for each game, being out of the UCL might probably not make any difference in what to anticipate from Guardiola, to be honest, maybe except Ederson in goal, I don't know who from the Man City squad is guaranteed a premium playing time.

You know that Foden will be getting most of the minutes for sure.

Problem with GW34 is that most of the players you want this week are useless after it passes. Fine line to thread, still deciding what to do myself.

Why, what am I missing?

CP is the team to go for if you want good differentiators, I wanted Eze but didn't have any transfers left so I'm stuck with Hee Chan.

I am crap once again, it's currently 1-1. We have a direct NBA clash between Kings and Pelicans for 1 point, Pelicans should be the favorites but the bookies give it 50-50 odds.

If I win that one I should probably be good, considering that London Marathon record is really fast and I don't expect it to be broken anytime soon.

Most of the referees do it just during the weekends. They have jobs and these are like side gigs for them.

I seriously cannot understand that refereeing isn't fully professional, the leagues have billions of revenue and the players cost 100 mil each, but onfield decisions are being made by hairdressers, police officers and constructors on normal salaries.

They get it wrong? No shit, Sherlock. Not defending them, they are shit (especially in England, where they actually earn a lot from it) but the blame is on the league as well.
Refereeing needs to be a full-time job, won't get any better before that.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 19, 2024, 10:44:52 AM
Some things are much clearer now though - with both City and Arsenal out of the CL and in the title challenge, their key players will play 90 minutes each.

I'll switch my team according to that, but so will the rest of the league. I expect top 10 to rotate the same 15 players.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: April 18, 2024, 10:47:34 AM
I was curious to see most of the players picked Bayern to go through. They were the bookies favorites as well, I did feel Arsenal will step up though.
Cost me a bit of money as well, but I went yolo all in on Real winning on penalties so the night ended up decently.

Can't believe how Modrić, a top top player, can be so shit at penalties - and he's been shit throughout his whole career. But what the hell was Bernardo doing? He really doesn't seem like that type of player.

Maybe it's time to think about moving the forum to a friendlier zone until the new limitations come.

To be honest, I expected this to happen when discussions about the mixer ban started.
Not really into forum politics but I do know there's a lot of BTC in forum reserves and this seemed like a perfect opportunity to use it for the betterment of the forum in general.

I still hope some of the senior members will step up soon, theymos included. There are a lot of smart heads here and surely there's a better option available.

I reduced the gap to Hhampuz a bit, will surely attack the top spot in the last round with some risky picks.

However I think that I still have a chance to climb to the 2nd place by getting past cryptofrka.

Considering I'll go risk-on, the chance will be yours to take. Just reminding you that I won points in all rounds so far. Cool

Are you serious about the 1mBTC? Anyway, would be happy with some additional corn. ChartBuddy as well.  Cheesy
Do not think we will see 100k$ before the halving. But wait. Do you mean this halving or the next or the next? It is not clear the way you wrote it  Wink

Yep, I am. I mean this halving, of course.
No soup for ChartBuddy though Grin

I don't think we see ATH before the halving as well, but if we do there's some free money for ya Smiley
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2024, 06:35:15 PM
We took the low, let's go up boys!

BTC to reach 100k$ before the halving and the first 10 people to comment after this post get 1mBTC each from me. BTC to reach 'just' new ATH before the halving, it's 0.5mBTC.

Surely not gonna happen, but if it does let's make it rain. It only needs to go 50% up, no? Grin

No.... That NBA result is directly opposite to what I answered. I'm starting to think that someone is looking at my answers and deliberately play the opposite of what I expected.

NBA question is precisely to give an edge to those that investigate.
If people checked how it works, I assume 95% would have the same answers. I will see when I grade it if that's the case, but I sincerely doubt it Grin

Or mandatory evil fee. Worked for me.

Sure, helps but if you were already out and wanted to get back in. Would be better to find a way to stop people from even getting kicked out Grin

The red card was as clear as it could be. Anyone saying otherwise are either high on barca copium or just don't want to understand the most basic rules of the game.

Nah, that's really not the case. Clean red cards are 2-footed tackles, kit pulls and evident obstructions.
I said, I do understand it being given. It is an obstruction, and if Barcola was closer to the ball I'd say sure, all clean.

However, Barcola did push the ball too far before the contact, Ter Stegen was closer and there is a high probability he's the first one on the ball, which doesn't make it a clean goal-scoring opportunity.

Once again - it can be given, more often than not it will be given. I just feel that it is soft and in a game like this it is a big call to make. I'm sure he'd preferred if the foul was inside the box, it would be a cleaner call - yellow card and a penalty.

Not rooting for Barca in any capacity - I don't really like them. They fell like a house of cards afterwards, if they were a better team they would have defended better.

I could maybe understand if a proper player was upset (like the Mbappe - Neymar case) - although it is Palmer who is leading that team and is by far the best player on it.
Jackson is an average player with a below average season, I'm really not sure what he was expecting.

Chelsea really has nothing left to play this season, if I was Poch he'd be in the reserves, playing as a full-back.

Damn, Ulven guessed PSG to win by 3 goals difference. The red card changed the game of course and it was a crazy pick to make, but that's how you win them I guess.

TBH, I feel that the red card was a bit too harsh there. Sure, last player and all that, but the ball was kicked too hard before the tackle and it wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity.
The red cards to everyone from Barca were funny, though Grin
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 17, 2024, 09:05:41 AM
The odds on De Minaur are growing, I just took him to win @2.15. He was the bookie favorite yesterday.

Nadal looked really good against Cobolli, if he's healthy it will be a hard match for De Minaur.
Still, Nadal is just coming back to tennis and the odds on him losing are too good not to take.

Did anyone watch him play? Rublev said he's in great form but hard to tell from the results alone.

Kings won, Pelicans lost - meaning it will be a direct duel between these 2 teams for a point in the NBA question between myself and LTU_btc.
I like my chances here although Kings did really well against GSW.

Yesterday's CL games were great again, this is one of the best QF series in recent memory. Let's hope for a great set of games today as well.

I'm slightly worried about my NBA picks -- I went completely out of what I'd normally do here, which is to look at odds and H2H. Instead I treated this like a DOTA bracket but now wonder if I outsmarted myself.

The simple game of chance means you go with the 4 teams that surely play another game if they lose. Any other pick is an unnecessary gamble.
I'm curious to see how many people went with the other 4 teams, my opponent went with 1 of them which gives me a statistical advantage at least.

Again?
This is becoming a very bad habit Roll Eyes

2 out of 50+ is actually decent, that's less than 4%.
Surely we'd like it to be 100%, last round we had it, but as long as we're 100% in the first 2 Divisions (which is mostly the case) we're good.

Considering that the Cup has decent rewards, we'll probably remove the teams with late submissions from the cup as well from next season onwards - but that's probably the last lever we can pull to make Div3 players submit.
Lower rewards always means lower interest and the Cup is their golden ticket, maybe that one will work.

I think Borussia goes through. Anybody with me?
I bet on it as well, the odds of 2.90 are quite attractive.

3.5 points between myself and Ulven, I hope to cut the difference to 2 points in this round Cool

I have some stakes in Pot B as well, hopefully some of those hit as well.
