Според мен сме малко. А на копането му се види края.

E края не, ама ще е в застой известно време. Пазара има какво още да предложи. Ще почакаме и ще видим.

Като гледам каква брада си пуснал от чакане.. Smiley

Team, do you have idea what do people expect from this service?
Is it anonymous browsing only? Why don't you create a survey
which can add some more value to this distributed service?
That way you will know better your potential users/providers.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: October 17, 2018, 12:45:33 PM
I think he means that there are several algos that GPUs cannot mine which are CPU only. I've mined HODL, ROI, and a few of the Argon2d algos myself. I think it's a waste of time to try and compete with GPUs and ASICs to mine a GPU/ASIC coin with a CPU. You may as well mine BTC with your CPU if you insist on throwing money away for electricity and mining for a loss. You're better off to stick to a CPU only algo coin if you mine with a CPU. Trade those CPU coins for BTC and buy Monero or whatever coin you want in the end. It's not rocket science and you'll profit instead of lose.

Having the need for someone to translate for what someone meant does not speak well for @astraleureka
If that is what he actually meant, than I agree. I also agree with minerja, so let's cut the crap and focus on
most profitable CPU mining coins (no matter how scarce they are nowadays).
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: October 17, 2018, 05:44:38 AM

GPUs don't have a huge advantage?

You mean you can cram 12 CPUs on a single board?
Even if you find a way to do it, how much power draw will they have?
How much space they are going to take? How noisy?
You can just go in any computer shop and buy these CPUs and a single motherboard?

I would agree that: CPU mining Cryptonight is also profitable, but GPUs will always have advantage.

You have a severe misunderstanding of how these algorithms work if you think GPUs have any advantage.

Perf per wat, price per watt, perf per dollar, GPUs beats CPU anywhere (unless algo is made specifically to cripple GPU performance).
I'm excluding specialized server CPUs as they are much more expensive and require special equipment which is not found in any
computer store. But even if you count them, they are still more power hungry than a well tuned GPU.

Anyone can open https://monerobenchmarks.info/ and see for himself how GPU and CPU perform on the same
algo and compare the hashrate, hardware price, power draw, etc.

Since Cryptonight is one of the best CPU/GPU minable algo, this is the best chance for you to show here
your bright (mis)understanding on how algorithms work.

405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: October 16, 2018, 07:14:52 PM
No doubt GPUs have the advantage, even one 1080 has way more hashpower than most CPUs, not to mention you can have bunch of them in one rig, while multi-processor systems are only on high end servers. Although Webchain officially don't support GPU mining and altered the algo to even the level, community are doing it anyway.
There are many algorithms in which even relatively inexpensive CPUs show significantly better results than GPUs.

Let us see those Smiley

web wallet is the most stupid way to send over HTTP
your private key to someone.

Instead, just print a blank and fill in the numbers by hand.
This way your traffic cannot be sniffed, your buffer (clipboard)
cannot be sniffed and replaced, and nobody else will see it,
unless you show it to someone.

Webchain is CPU minable coin, same as Monero and other coins mentioned in this topic. It's listed #1 (most profitable coin to mine) here http://minecryptonight.net/

Of course this changes, but that's how it is now, #1

and same as all other cryptonight coin it can be mined by GPU but without big advantage, please google about specifics of cryptonight and you will learn that GPUs don't have such huge advantage as for example when mining bitcoin or ethereum.

Check this page for example https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/CryptoNight to understand how it works.

Coin imp is as much centralized, managed by others, website.
JSE is a token which can be transfered to any ERC 20 compatible wallet.

But let's not go too far away from the main thing:

This is a CPU mining topic. And Webchain is a GPU minable coin.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: October 13, 2018, 08:42:07 AM
I'm interested in web minable coins in general. I had a huge interest in Webchain.
Mined it since the very beginning. But when you ask the Developers of a coin
"what are you going to do?" and they just shrug, this is a clear sign for me
to leave as quick as possible. They have no clear vision.
That is why I switched to  JSE.

It is the most refined web project i've ever seen.
I added it to my websites, so users can decide if they wish to mine
while they are there, instead of watching brainwashing ads.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] LocalCoinSwap ✦All Profits Distributed ✦All Cryptos ✦Token Airdrops on: October 13, 2018, 08:35:38 AM
There are a lot of brand new decentralized eschanges whihc already kicked in.
I'm afraid that if Local Coin Swap does not join then in the next two months,
it will be much harder to gather interest later.
And also keep in mind that the first 2-3 months will be only testing..

There was a news some time ago that Storj will support the storage part of the distributed supercomputer project SONM.
How far did you go with this guys? Their new profict calculator shows ridiculous numbers as a profit. And storage is particularly cheap there.
My point is, with the ever so cheaper storage, how can farmers keep their farms up, when a single drive's own electicity cost are barely covered by monthly earnings?

Hi everyone.
What is the best minable and profitable coin right now?

Any one you mine with free hardware and free electricity Smiley

Other than that, almost none of them.

There is some truth in your statement. I'm not sure any coin can give enough profit to justify buying a CPU rig and running it 24/7 at home, but if you already have hardware and free/cheap electricity you can try to accumulate some coins. Personally I am doing exactly this mining Webchain (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3649170.0) with unused server at work.

If I were you, I would not mine that coin. I used to mine it for a while, when somebody just wrote (or changed an existing one) to GPU mine this coin. When people asked about why diff went through the roof, they said it is normal. So almost all CPU miners left and GPU miners lost interest piling up worthless coin in which nobody believes. I gues "CPU only" or "ASIC resistant" has some serious weight when it comes to trust.
Yes, they never said CPU only, but CPU minable which is different. However, keep in mind who are you dealing with (dev and GPU miners).

If you are into CPU mining and also think that web advertising is dead and needs to evolve (a webchain coin believes), you can mine atrully CPU only coin calles JSE.

ICO ended and it is now incredibly quet Smiley It is like the calm before the coin storm.
And according to the news here, soon (oct 18th) there will be a huge crypto
storm, tokens flying back and forth.
No ask yourself.. do you feel lucky? Or do you want to HODL? Do you believe in JSEcoin's future?

A follow up from the change I did to the main stratum node the other day:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg46326106#msg46326106

Recap:
The stratum node is 3 servers in a round-robin so if you mine to stratum.kano.is, you randomly get one of the 3.
I replaced one of the AWSLS oregon nodes with another provider node in LosAngeles.

So now:
the old node still has about 20% of the miners on it.
i.e. about 300 miners are mining away on the old AWS node that I'm shutting down.
So to push those final miners over to one of the current 3 nodes, I'll stop it.

As before, no one needs to do anything, it will simply be a failover from the old stratum node to one of the other 3.
It will also only affect those ~300 (random) workers on stratum.kano.is

I'll do this in 1.5 hrs at 04:00 UTC so any (of the ~300 miners) that fail over due to that, you will know why.

Again it is just an immediate failover for ~300 miners, nothing more.
Another follow up about 'where' the main stratum node is.

Firstly, no one has to change anything, but if you are close to Oregon you may prefer to make the change in the details below.

I've created a new DNS name for miners that are closer to Oregon than LosAngeles:
stratum+tcp://or.kano.is:3333

The current test run is showing the new LosAngeles server as more appropriate to be stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333
however, of course, there are some who are closer to the Oregon nodes and may prefer to mine to the Oregon nodes.

Currently, stratum.kano.is still points to both the Oregon and LosAngeles nodes.
So if you mine to stratum.kano.is you will randomly connect to either.
In a week I'll change stratum.kano.is to ONLY point to LosAngeles

So over the next week, anyone mining to stratum.kano.is, who would prefer to only mine to the Oregon nodes, should change their miner Pool0 config to say "stratum+tcp://or.kano.is:3333" instead of "stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333"

You don't have to change anything - but if you are mining to "stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333" and your miners are closer to Oregon than LosAngeles, you may get very slightly lower stales if you mine to "stratum+tcp://or.kano.is:3333"

Mine on! Smiley

Hello Kano, I've been mining for some time and since i started you have opened several new EU servers. I tried to ping them, but they probably have some protection and I cannot. Is there a way to check each server latency from the provider and location I'm in?

Good article! I will support the XDNA project and share this article in my social networks. I urge the rest to do the same!

This is a very good example of how not indifferent users are willing to share information about the project. Personally, I like the idea itself and I will follow the development of XDNA. But first, I will do a little advertising on my social networks)
I also think that team should expand bounty campaign and be busy with marketing, because this is the easiest way to popularize XDNA

Bounty campaign is one of the best i've seen. It has many options and also a lot of rules. It might be the prize coins that need increase or softening some of the rules. Unfortunately, the last one can lead to bots infestation and nobody wants that.

What are your ideas on expanding the bounty campaign? Are you already taking part in it?

Now, when miners are much less, how limiting is Bitgun level 1 for them?
Is the diff constant or it also goes down?
