I want just the center unit and the controller for 900 shipped.
I want to buy add on left or right sides for 750 a piece.
There are many indications that this may be a mythical s7 . That would be good news for everyone. Despite the progress in reducing the demand for energy is still insufficient. no no no I got a great idea. let then sell the s-5+ center piece as a stand alone. does 2550 gh at 1150 watts. you can buy add-on left right s-5+'s if you wantin a week or two or you can wait for an add-on s-7 say late sept or early oct.this is a really good idea. I really think they should do this. I dont think they will though, aren't these geared towards data center ops? Maybe after they see the low demand on these they will consider, but I think for first few months it'll be as is

You could always get a 10 port USB hub and order 10 sidehack USB sticks and run them in a windowsill ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Another option is something like 1 or 2 used cheap prospero X1 or a bitcrane T-110S on eBay as they are fairly quiet

Dear customers,
The S5+ is now opening for sale in Mainland China market(as some one has already found on the bitmain.cn), and it will be available for sale on global market next Friday. Then you can purchase the S5+ on our official website of bitmaintech.com.
We recommend Bitmain customers to purchase our products on our official website, unless you have your own particular reasons to buy from other channel, for example, you known about the seller quite well, or you trust the seller, or the seller can provide very good support to you.
Wow thank you for letting us know, that puts an end to the speculation

Strange way of unveiling a new product, learning about it from the distributor. Seems Bitmain reached deep into their pockets and pulled out a bunch of lint. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Maybe Bitmain has no intention of selling this themselves, they could've been special gear for larger farms who paid big $ to get the most hash / power they could squeeze. Now some of them are unloading to make way for new stuff?

Yeah or to add, great little device to run at the office since power draw is so low, good solo lotto ticket
|
|
|
So this will be a new pod style smaller unit?
Seems likely it'll be more popular

Picts look fake, Bitmain is quiet... ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) i got the pict from bitmain official weibo account here http://weibo.com/bitmainthats verified account there are still many people who do not believe in the truth, hehe ... Bitmain S5 + coming soon .. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) won't matter for home users only will work in places with 2 or 3c kwh elec data halls at best and likely like most bitmain products over priced from the get go and price drops just behind what it is practical to ever make ROI imho Yeah these are really meant for data center operations

|

Wow this looks pretty badass, might be what Bitmain has been hiding up their sleeve, makes sense they are starting to hit the market from a third party as they've likely been mining in pro farms for months already

Are you serious on the pay less electricity then them? I have no idea what bitmain is paying.... but I doubt many hobby miners can come close.
Yeah with the productions scale these guys have and the fact they are in china, i bet they are paying dirt cheap for power

There's no reason to sell an S5 for $199. The market price is twice that.
Exactly. You would also select trustworthy reviewers and wouldn't ask them to make multiple threads, especially before a unit is received, nor would you offer them for sale prior to the reviews being posted. If this is a legitimate product (probably a 1 in 500 chance), they could use some serious help with their marketing. If they are legit and having 30 units avail I'm all but certain you'd get one.. I've also PM'd philipma I sincerely hope these guys are real, red flags aside they would be a legit outfit in the hardware game. We need one of their engineers or something to post some spec sheets of their chips and chassis only time will tell I guess
|
|
|
...if a handful of us trusted members receive test units...
Or even one... I'm a bit confused by the selection of reviewers that seem to have been chosen so far... did you read the OP? they have 30 unit's avail for testing / reviews

I wonder if it really requires all 4 pcie connectors running @ 500gh

I think an s3 is a better deal no?
although this is probably majorly quieter.
