What price increase?  Is it on a new exchange?

lolllllllllll just the shills praying for new fish to bite.

Aurora is at an all time high of under 5 dollars now.  And that's the pioneer of all national coin models.

The whole national coin scam is over.  Only the devs with their dumped premines will profit from here on out.

Good luck sheeple, and I hope you stocked up on plenty of kleenex tissues.

Aurora hit 14-15 so im not sure what ur talking about lol.

Aurora hit 100 dollars.  And steadily and rapidly decreased down to 1/10th its value, and never looked back.  So what's your point?

Are you inferring that greececoin (which is just another clone bringing nothing new to the table) will somehow rise to the same levels as Aurora
after investors have seen how this fiasco has played out with every other national coin?

You're essentially saying that a person would willingly board a cruiseship sailing through the polar icecaps after already watching the Titanic on dvd 5 times.

The only thing left in these national coins now are nothing but bagholders screaming HOLD and praying nightly for some pump group to bail them out of the inevitable.  You may be able to profit a bit by spending hours each day hedge trading, but that's about the best you're gonna get with these scams, as they've been
whored to death.

But you're too blind to see that the only real winners in these national scams are the devs holding the premine.

then your original statement was false. "all time high" is just that.... I was just telling you I saw it around 14-15 which was 2X greater than your statement. Thats all, just a correction, calm yourself kid.

Apparently your sarcasm meter needs some calibration.  The 'all time high of under 5 dollars' was an obvious jab at a dead horse.  We all know aurora went to the sky overnight and fell hard to the earth only a few days later.

But then again, that's usually what scams are.  Just huge market bubbles.

I would say your partly right. I do believe some coins fail because people dont do research and believe every person they see who screams "sell!" After all, these coins are only as good as the amount of user who use and believe in them.

Exactly.  The problem with national coins now is that everyone else is just trying to ride the coattails of aurora.  Which will never happen, because aurora was the first of its kind, so it created the initial hype.  Aurora was essentially the 'bitcoin' of national currencies.  Now the market is simply oversaturated with these 'national coins' and devs not even from the country trying to turn a quick buck.

Heck, I can guarantee you coinmarketcap will stop listing them soon too.  Because the entire premise of their huge premines being factored in to the market price is laughable.  I mean can you imagine if coinmarketcap allowed every single one of these national coins on their list?  The 80 percent of the list would be comprised of national coins, knocking off actual legitimate coins with real innovation and usage.  It's just getting to the point where it's borderline ridiculous now.

I hear you. although, if 50% of these coins actually landed in the hands of a particular countries citizens, I would think that would only boost the value. Especially if the citizens actually endorsed them. But in the end, before I invest any substantial amount I want to see a new coin from the ground up completely custom.

The fundamental 'wishful thinking' of the coins are actually quite good.  I mean, we'd all love to be free from the constraints of fiat currency.  However, it's simply beyond unrealistic to think that an entire country and its businesses would adopt something like this.  It's just not reality.

Unless you are a huge corporate vehicle with a huge national funding campaign along the lines of a presidential campaign (meaning tv ads, news interviews, local rallys, etc etc)....there is absolutely ZERO chance any of these national coins can be legit.

Most everyone in a city would laugh at the prospect of downloading a 'virtual currency' from an anonymous source while having to jump through a million hurdles just to be able to use it in real life.

Then again, most people in these threads don't like to face reality.  It's mostly all about the buy and flip on these forums.

I wouldnt say thats entirely true. Dont be too shocked when the US dollar go's digital

Fiat will never be eliminated.  It is simply the fundamental line of currency for everyday face to face transactions and is palpable.

And the US dollar has been digital for decades now.  They're called credit/debit cards.

404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain - hardforked to Scrypt-N UPDATE WALLETS on: March 26, 2014, 01:14:16 AM
you have to keep in mind too most of the people being airdropped coins have no idea how an exchange works and just go hit sell for whatever the price the exchange is giving them. so then the next person drives it down and so on until you see the price that it is at now. you can't just hand coins to a bunch of morons and expect it to work out. a little education could go a long way to prevent the same thing happening with other coins with the same plan.

I think the basic underlying problem with national coins, is that investors are just so blinded by their greed and wanting to turn a quick buck, that they don't want to face the reality that the entire premise of the coins are laughable.  Those who think entire nations will (with 90+ or more percent of citizens who have zero idea of cryptos whatsoever, with many over 40 years of age and barely able to operate their email) will NOT take the time to download a wallet, download 'currency,' then have to register on an exchange, learn how to transfer tokens to an exchange...then learn how the exchange process and pricing works...then register on ANOTHER site to transfer their btc...and SOMEHOW find a way to cash out to their own fiat currency to use actually USE the money.  On top of that, these same people, even if somehow they found out about these free coins...how the hell would they trust that it's not a virus or nigerian scam since it is not coming from a federally verifiable source like their own government?  Use your brains, people.

The devs of these coins are simply making fake wallets and depositing coins to their own fake accounts on airdrop.   Then maybe to a few of their friends or forum members from the country.  It's hilarious.

Does anyone in their right mind think an entire country would do this?  Again, most of you guys are not living in reality.  You are only thinking about the greed driving your purchase, and hoping that it will climb to 100x the price like aurora so you can cash out and go your merry way.  But the market is becoming more aware of what is happening to these national coins, as they all suffer the same fate.  IT's simply not plausible, and most are viewed as nothing but scams with beyond unrealistic goals.

The fact that none of the DEVS of these coins except for MAZA actually has a face and name for a sense of accountability should tell you something.  They hold the premines.  They are the ONLY winners in this game.

Well, on the good news front, the tribe did at least recognize that maza is being studied the other day. And then the news report today. I do agree that a fork is needed, though.

I think the interesting thing is that CNN rumor. If that is true, the price could certainly jump.

I do like that this coin is making ACTUAL news, unlike these other national scamcoins which have absolutely zero groundwork or identity.

CNN could indeed be huge.  This coin needs something on a grandeur scale like that to get the money flow going again.  But like we already stated, the fundamentals
of the coin with the SHA-256 format is probably what Payu should be putting priority on possibly changing right now while the coin still has some remote signs of market life.

Looks like there was a decent sized mini pump earlier today.

IMO, I'm with the previous poster who suggested that the only real thing that can possibly save this coin now is a hardfork with a switch to a different, tougher algo like scrypt-n.

As it stands now, the difficulty is extremely low and miners will continue to rape this coin with fresh new loads every day.

Heck, how about SH3?
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Aphrodite Coin [APH] boost of Cyprus economy - Coinmarketcap position 5 ! on: March 26, 2014, 12:51:22 AM
I love how the 'dev' is so darn transparent and specific with his replies.

'We didn't dump! Either you believe us or you don't!'

LOL

You think real life companies can get away with statements like this to stockholders? No.  They need full documentation with lists of expenses and distribution.  How about a full list of the bounties and how much was paid for each task?  I am 99 percent certain you did not pay out 50 thousand dollars worth of coins for translating the ANN thread.  Hell, it wouldn't even cost more than 1,000 dollars worth of coins to have the coin fully created from scratch with everything needed including website.

So far all we see are a shit load of coins (yes, over $50k USD worth of coins is a lot) that have been laundered into multiple accounts.

And all the dev can say is 'hey, either you believe us or you don't.'   Suckers born every minute.

Hahahaha.  The first and 'best' of the national coins Aurora is at under 5 dollars now.  About 1/20th of where it was at its peak, which only happened because it was the first of its kind like bitcoin.

Good luck losing all your money, gentlemen.

BTW just outta curiosity...no hate...how the fuck is this going to 'boost the Cyprus' economy? Give me some details before I invest my hard earned fiat into this

with the current price nothing will boost thats for sure. Let's hope Aurora will succeed tonight (airdrop) and Mintpal is adding Aphrodite tomorrow or in the next 2 days. The price will go up and as I said before if aurora succeed the same could happen with aph

Care to make a friendly wager with me on this?  How about 0.5btc's.  I'll bet that the price continues to tank
days after it hits mintpal and people continue to see how the dev is scamming the premine.

We can use an escrow service.  Hell, if you're right and it survives, you can use
that 0.5btc to buy more and shill it even more on the forums!

What do ya say?  Come on man, you seem pretty sure in your shilling methods. Why not back it with a bet?

Bitcoin talk is seriously shit with all these trolls.

The dev said he will pay bounties out later, let's buy some more greececoin to piss you all off. Haha

You don't have the mental capacity to differentiate between a 'troll' and someone pointing out facts for newcomers.  You're too busy wearing rose colored glasses to see beyond the 'TO DA MOON' propaganda.

It's ok.  You can regurgitate all you want about trolling, but that's your only defense.

Anyone who's taken the time to read my posts, and read the OP's posts, knows his story doesn't line up.  Aka he's blatantly lying through his teeth and being as vague as possible in the meanwhile.

Hey.  Invest all you want and lose all you want in this scam.  No sweat off my back.  I'm just trying to help you guys save the money and future heartache of losing your entire investment.

Good thing you're able to see my post history.  Yep.  I was once like you.  Valiantly defending mazacoin, until one day I finally woke up and realize all these national coin copies are the same.  And have one ultimate destination: the dumpster.   So I would say I have more investing experience in this than you do.

And once again, investors never listen.  Despite all the warning and pattern recognition, and learning from previous mistakes.  They still make the same mistakes and believe somehow things will be different 'this time.'

Man.  Hope ya'll got out while you could.  If you're still holding...you're going to be very, very, regretful each passing day praying for someone to come pump your investment back to the price you bought in at.  Newsflash: it ain't gonna happen.

People that come here and post BS are hilarious.

This is the way I see it and this is forever new coin/thread.

If they take the time out of their day to post here it can only mean two things.

#1 They are here because they have nothing better else to do and are simply lame people with not life. They get a thrill of pissing people off. Those that get pissed off and reply to their post are even worst. Don't reply to these dudes. Leave them alone and remember they are like little kids. If you ignore them long enough they will leave. Don't fuel the fire guys. Maybe the people replying are in it too?

#2 They have a lot invested in this coin. Do I need to explain more? No figure it out guys.

Those are the only two reasons why people would come and post BS here. I think most are here for the second reason I posted.

Yeah i know, all these "Sr" members are trying to impersonate Moderators.. trying to prove a point.. but its not working & its not needed on this thread. I believe in the coin and the Dev.. the coin is brand new and it has alot of potential which will be filled. Give it time, haters are gunna hate but making false accusations and creating up bullshit is another.

Most of the people here giving hate to the dev/coin is most likely missed the boat and wanting to the coin to drop so they can buy in.. we know their game its happened so many times on different threads.

Just look at AUR, everyone slating it and ripping the thread a new asshole but a few days later the coin hit the fucking roof and hit a high of $97. Now everyone shut the fuck up and get mining and buying these coins while they are this cheap.

U GAIZ R JUS H8RS SUCH TROLLS ZOMG GET A LYFE!!!

lolllllllllll.  PLEASE invest all the remaining btc into greece thinking it's the bargain of a century.  I beg you to do this.  You have all the warning signs right under your nose and you turn the other cheek.  You truly deserve to lose every penny you spend.

Again, Dev won't explain the moved premine coins?  That's a LOT of different addresses.  He better come out with an itemized list of the bounties, and if it doesn't add up...then say bye bye to all sense of accountability.

I'm already 99% certain he won't, because he already lied about it being about airdrop, yet airdrop is more than 3 weeks away.

You all are being taken to the cleaners, and defending the guy doing it hahahaha.

Wow... Thanks for stating that. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=436606.0
I just noticed this coin is made by coingen.io, which means the 'developers' don't even know how to develop a coin. What if there is something wrong with the wallet. They probably don't even know how to fix that. Great.

coingen.io LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Greececoin (GRCE) - LAUNCHED GET MINING! - NET HASH OVER 5GH!! *NEW* on: March 24, 2014, 01:21:57 PM
Hello,

First of all why are there members spreading false accusations around on the thread about the premine? Please only quote yourself when you have solid facts. Yes the premine has been split up a little and it will be split up even further because as I have stated that there will be two different air drops, not all the coins will be claimed in each air drop so there is going to be another series of air drops which may be different but that's in the future. There are bountys to be paid for some people who have done work, translation, website etc. Just because I can't respond to everyone every single minute of the day does it mean that I'm not here. Greececoin is a fantastic project and It will deliver I can promise you. If you don't believe in me as your developer or don't believe in Greececoin then please do not invest and don't try and disrupt the thread. Greececoin has only just launched and I have been very busy, I think we have had a great start, excellent trading volume and a lot of miners.

There will be a lot of updates and new development ideas coming forward and greececoin will following the development of auroracoin closely to see how greececoin can improve. The project is massive here and it can't be completed within 48 hours of launch.

Greececoin wants a foundation based on a solid community so please contribute to being solid. Ideas is what we want to hear.

I will process bountys later today.

Thank you

Translation: keep calm and don't panic while I sell off premine shares.   I'm a good anonymous guy who would never lie to you innocent investors now, would I? *innocent grin*

Game over.

Good luck to all you investors putting faith into this faceless guy who wants to move premine coins unannounced.  Had nobody pointed it out, he probably would have kept on moving even more shares.  His story does not add up whatsoever:

- he states that he needs to break them up into multiple different wallets for the airdrop.  However, in the OP....he states that the airdrop will commence ONE MONTH after launch.  Today would mark only DAY 9 after launch.   You do the math.

- he then goes on to backtrack and change his story saying it's for bounties.  However, another member chimed in and said he personally knows of people who performed bounties for OP, yet never got paid for them until now, with zero replies from the dev for days.  Dev acknowledges that he hasn't responded, citing that he's been busy...but will begin processing bounties later today.

So yeah, there you go investors.  If you have an ounce of sense, you'd realize this guy has already started selling off shares so he can enjoy the fruits of his labor.  Talk about 'transparency' lollllllllllll.

Good luck all, but don't say I didn't warn you days ago.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / WTF? Coinmarketcap.com, Cryptorush.in, and Mintpal.com all not loading right now on: March 24, 2014, 07:47:42 AM
I don't know if it's just some ironic/weird coincidence, but I can barely load any of these 3 sites (cryptorush and mintpal appear to be down), and coinmarketcap barely loads for me even after a ton of refreshes.

Hope this is just some weird coincidence.  I've checked other sites and all appears to be fine...but these 3 are having issues right now.

Anyone else?
